With a wave of her hand, a spear surrounded by thunder appeared and shot forward, penetrating hundreds of Zerg Servants.
These creatures had no chance to resist.
Upon eting the thunder, much less the weapon, their consciousness was wiped out, and their corpses collapsed to the ground.
Liora displayed no happiness. She casually collected their fallen souls and allowed the System to convert them into Evolution Points.
Then, she picked up so of the Zerg Servant corpses and stored them away, while destroying those she deed useless.
Her actions were plain, but if soone were to look into her eyes, they would discover that the crimson in them had grown deeper.
Not much ti had passed since the Commander gave the signal, and the operation began.
Yet, Liora had slain hundreds of thousands of creatures during this short period of ti.
Even though she had experienced and participated in several large-scale wars in the past, it was the first ti that she had killed so many people in such a short amount of ti.
Affected by the bloodthirsty environnt and the continuous devouring of souls, Liora discovered that she had been influenced sowhat.
Her bloodline was trembling, urging her to destroy and devour everything in her way, fully unleashing her Devil instincts.
Liora had to consciously suppress that impulse.
"Devils are indeed very vulnerable to losing control. Even Greater Devils have yet to suppress their instincts fully."
"Although one can remain fully rational even if they were to go on a rampage, the fact that they can’t fully control themselves is a bad sign by itself.", Liora thought and shook her head, understanding that this was related to the Demon World’s influence.
Fortunately, her will was strong.
As she remained mindful and consciously suppressed her own instincts, the destructive light in her gaze gradually receded before it disappeared entirely.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
Taking a look at the barren landscape around her, she extended her consciousness and investigated this place, making sure that no Zerg had escaped.
After confirming this, she didn’t rush to any other region but instead turned towards the center of this world.
She could sense that a slumbering aura was gradually awakening there.
Though she had never t its owner, she understood that only a person could possess such a strong aura in this world:
The Zerg Queen.
"It seems that the death of so many of her descendants has caught her attention. Indeed, it’s really difficult to hide.", Liora thought, and she couldn’t help but recall the information she had previously received.
"According to the Universe Chamber of Comrce, the Zerg Queen has established a formation at the center of this world and is currently hiding there."
"This formation can improve her devouring power, but most importantly, it can increase her strength."
"It’s exactly because of that formation that the Chamber of Comrce has failed to kill her despite repeated assassination attempts."
This was how the current plan ca to be.
The Universe Chamber of Comrce had decided to kill all the Zerg Servants wandering throughout the world before taking the initiative to deal with the Zerg Queen.
Without the Zerg Servants supplying her with energy, her strength was bound to decrease.
Liora had completed her task, but she didn’t rush to go to the world’s center.
From the fluctuations she sensed, it was clear that the other Greater Devils had yet to wipe out the Zerg Servants.
Thinking of this, she didn’t waste any ti, but used this opportunity to do sothing else.
Her consciousness dove into the Space Orb and landed on the several Zerg Servant corpses she had collected during this ti.
To others, these corpses were precious, whether it was to forge weapons, use them for the practice of Devil Techniques, or even to study them.
However, having reached her level, Liora had no such need.
Still, since she had chosen to collect them, it was obvious that she had a purpose.
Staring at the lifeless insectoid bodies and feeling another faint life force erging within the cloud-covered demi-plane, Liora’s eyes narrowed.
She understood that her idea had proven correct.
A faint idea ford in her mind. Unfortunately, now was not the ti to put it to the test.
--
The battles throughout the world lasted for a while.
Although the other Greater Devils, barring a few exceptions, did not have it as easy as Liora, they were ultimately able to clean up the regions they were responsible for and slay all the Zerg Servants.
Before long, everyone received another signal from the Commander. He urged them to gather.
Liora also received that ssage.
Though reluctant, her consciousness retreated from the Space Orb and returned to reality.
Despite complaining inwardly, she didn’t hesitate at all and soared into the sky.
--
Her destination was different from the rest of the world.
Although this world had been invaded by the Zerg and all its residents had already been devoured, one could at least see so of its past glory based on the traces left behind.
However, the center of the world was different.
As far as Liora’s eye could see, there was only a dead land, spanning for many kiloters with no end.
The word "dead" was used to describe it, not because there were any corpses or because of its appearance, but rather because the earth itself was dead.
"Such a strong devouring ability. I’m afraid that even the Catastrophe Devil is not this capable, right?", Liora’s pupils shrank upon lowering her gaze.
She could see that the earth below was truly dead. Soone had devoured its very essence, consuming all its nutrients to grow. By now, the land was nothing more than an empty shell.
Liora understood that ordinary Zerg did not possess such abilities, evidence of how the rest of the world was fine.
The opponent had to be a Zerg Queen to accomplish this.
More accurately, one had to be at least a Greater Devil Zerg Queen. Any weaker and this was impossible.
Liora wanted to observe for a little longer, but she didn’t have the ti.
Only a few seconds after her arrival, the other Greater Devils also reached this place and gathered around her.
Among them were Alpha and Assira, as well as people whom Liora had never t before.
Their reactions were roughly the sa as Liora’s upon seeing the dead land below.
Even the Commander, who had been to this place before, was slightly astonished.
"It seems that the Zerg Queen has expanded her area of influence. If this continues, she might end up devouring the entire world soon.", Liora heard him mutter in a low voice.
Fortunately, the Commander was not imrsed in his thoughts for long.
After a few seconds, he regained his composure and turned to the Greater Devils.
