As soon as that voice stopped and the end of the trial was announced, a small glowing sphere appeared in front of Liora.
Countless threads extended from its surface, drilling not only in the surrounding void but also in the other spaces within the inheritance palace.
This included the spaces that Liora had previously explored, as well as the ones where Assira and Alpha were currently being tested.
Noticing this phenonon, and recalling the words of the indifferent voice, Liora instantly grasped what she needed to do.
Thus, ignoring the urge to experint with her recently obtained power, she stepped forward and approached the sphere.
Then, by stretching out with her hands, she reached for the sphere.
Originally, Liora’s hands bounced off an invisible layer around it and were forced to retreat.
However, after she operated the technique rged from the Crimson Annihilation Technique and the half-technique she had obtained in the first trial, this invisible wall soon vanished. Or at least, it no longer stopped her.
Liora’s hand was allowed to pass through it and touch the sphere as well as integrate her energy into it.
"Sure enough, this is the purpose of this inheritance. The rewards themselves are nothing."
"The true core of the inheritance is this unknown technique. Only by mastering it can one obtain the inheritance...", she concluded.
At the sa ti, Liora started to suspect that the "clues about the soul-related Greater Devil technique" promised by the Universe Chamber of Comrce was nothing but this.
After all, Liora did not believe that there would be such a coincidence and two soul-related techniques would appear within such a short ti.
Shaking her head, Liora didn’t think about it for long but focused on the matter at hand.
With her two palms touching the sphere and feeling its cold surface, she controlled her demonic energy and her soul power, letting them drill into the core of the inheritance palace.
Unknown symbols flashed on the sphere’s surface, and a tinge of red appeared in one of them.
Yet, as more of Liora’s energy flowed into the core, this crimson color slowly spread to the rest of the symbols.
Slowly but surely, her energy beca part of the core, enhancing the connection between her and the sphere.
As long as the sphere beca fully red and the symbols were integrated, it would an that the core had been fully mastered by her.
At that point, Liora would have truly obtained the complete inheritance.
Not only the techniques and treasures hidden within it, but also the inheritance palace itself.
--
The integration of her energy with the core of the inheritance was not instantaneous.
Instead, it was a long-term process, requiring the full focus of Liora.
Fortunately, it was not too complicated.
Besides the need to pour her energy into the sphere, there was nothing else she needed to do or had to pay attention to.
Moreover, as more and more of it was integrated, Liora was gradually able to obtain partial control over the inheritance.
In her mind, the scene of the other spaces erged, including those of the other challengers.
Besides the Commander’s subordinate, who had just stepped into the palace and was doing their best to pass, the only other challengers were Alpha and Assira.
Both of these won had successfully passed the second trial and had been moved onto the third one.
As Liora focused her mind, she seed able to check the contents of their test, as well as investigate their current state.
The first to appear in her mind was Alpha.
Seemingly undergoing the exact trial that Assira had previously described, she stood in the middle of a very long staircase with faint sweat running down her forehead.
A powerful oppression emanated from the top of the staircase, falling and pressing on her shoulders.
Despite its large size, the staircase itself was not difficult to ascend, especially for a Greater Devil like Alpha.
Yet, as she was targeted by this unknown pressure, she found it difficult to step forward.
Each step took several minutes and made her face increasingly pale.
No matter what, though, Alpha did not back down.
Seemingly tempering her will under this overwhelming pressure, she walked forward step by step, unwilling to give up.
In Liora’s eyes, the determination in her gaze beca more and more obvious.
Liora couldn’t help but nod her head secretly upon seeing this.
Although Alpha did not face a trial as hard as hers, it was apparent that she was doing quite well.
As long as nothing unexpected happened and no one interfered, there was a high chance that she would be able to succeed.
Liora might have been worried about other people in the past.
After all, her current state did not allow her to provide help to Alpha.
However, having co into contact with the core of the inheritance, she discovered a great secret and roughly guessed everyone’s plan.
Not only that of the Zerg Queen and the reason she brought them here, but also the plan of the Universe Chamber of Comrce.
With that in mind, Liora kept the coordinates of Alpha’s current location in mind and shifted her attention elsewhere.
More accurately, on the trial that Assira was undergoing.
Compared to Alpha, her trial was completely different.
Not only did she not face any oppression, but she also didn’t have to master a technique like Liora.
What Assira was experiencing was an illusion. Her task was not to break it or wake up, but to face her fears in it and co to accept them.
This was sowhat similar to what Liora had to go through when devouring the Reincarnation Fruit.
However, the difficulty was many tis lower and the experience would be many tis less realistic.
Liora was quite curious.
Assira had always been mysterious in her eyes and was deed far more dangerous than soone like the Commander.
In her opinion, she was not necessarily any less mysterious than an Archdevil.
Now that Liora had the opportunity to peek into her secrets, she wouldn’t hesitate.
Imdiately, her consciousness flowed into the sphere and she concentrated her mind.
Following a gentle flicker, the scenes that Assira was experiencing erged in front of her eyes as if she were watching a movie.
