Ti goes back for a few seconds.
Although Liora’s actions were nearly instantaneous, it still took a few minutes to complete everything.
Her initial escape, her shattering the mbrane of the Demon World, and her choosing which Demon Layer to depart to.
All these only lasted for a period of ti. The ti wasted would not have been a big deal at any other ti.
Yet, under the current situation, it amounted to a massive difference.
The rioting in Hollow City continued, and the Archdevils were contained.
The four limbs that had erged from the four forbidden areas were free to do as they wished.
And they did.
Not long after their successful escape, they gathered at the very center of the 173rd Demon Layer.
The hands transford into claws and struck at the earth below while the legs kicked the ground.
Within monts, all the lives on the continent, whether Devils or Elentals, were wiped out.
Large chunks of the continent were dug out, revealing an item of unknown origin hidden beneath.
From the deep crater, it could be seen that it was a humanoid torso.
Yet, just like the four limbs, it was far bigger than any other person Liora had ever seen.
In fact, the continent itself was built upon a small part of its body, using its bloody flesh as nourishnt.
Black tal chains wrapped tightly around the torso and held it in place, as if imprisoning it.
However, following a combined strike of the four limbs, the chains shattered.
Vitality appeared in the broken torso, and it stood up as the limbs attached seamlessly onto its edges.
First the arms and then the legs.
A faint click rang out as they fell into place, seemingly working to complete the separated body.
As the towering being stood up, it shrouded the surrounding continents in its long shadow.
Though far apart, Liora could sense its extraordinary power. It was a power that surpassed the Archdevil stage and caused instinctive fear to spread through her heart.
The alarm bells in her heart rang even more violently than when she faced the Ascension Stage Zerg Queen.
Yet, this was before the being was fully completed.
There was still one part of it missing—its head.
Since Liora could see this, the headless being could as well.
Imdiately, it made a move to fix this "small" imperfection.
It stretched its right hand and reached into the red sky.
Its hand grew bigger the further it went, covering half of the Demon Layer by the end.
Though she was not its target, just being in the palm’s direction filled Liora with terror.
She could be certain that if that palm fell on her, she would instantly die, and any backups she had would be invalidated.
Fortunately, her current location was outside the Demon Layer.
The towering being ignored her, rely grabbing the thousands of crimson suns revolving in the sky before bringing them back to it.
It clenched its fist, fusing the stars together, and placed the resulting object onto the clean cut at its neck.
Just like the four limbs, the oval "object" seamlessly rged with it.
With a clang, it transford into its head. Only two of the crimson suns remained, serving as the eyes of this being.
The other party stayed motionless for a brief mont, as if adjusting to its new body.
Then, it raised its head and howled maniacally towards the sky.
"Hollow Ancestor!", it scread, its voice booming throughout the Demon Layer and spreading beyond it.
The world shook even more violently.
Not only because of the being’s overwhelming power, but also because sothing deeper had been shattered.
It was as if the very balance of the 173rd Demon Layer had been broken.
Space rifts ford and swallowed a large portion of its surface, razing cities, devouring Devils, and expanding continuously.
At the sa ti, countless natural disasters broke out.
The suppressed four elents rioted.
A rain of flas descended from the sky. A sudden hailstorm ford and froze everything in its path. Gusts of wind brushed past, annihilating a fleeing Greater Devil. The earth itself shattered, swallowing an entire city.
At once, several apocalyptic disasters broke out. Coupled with the spreading space rifts, the Demon Layer was plunged into chaos.
No! It was not only the 173rd Demon Layer that was impacted.
Even the world beyond it beca chaotic, evidenced by the fact that Liora sensed her connection with the Will of the Demon World had been abruptly severed.
The power controlling her escape vanished, leaving her frozen in place and giving her a full view of everything that was taking place.
Her heart fluttered.
Yet, the scene below allowed her to piece together all the pieces of the puzzle that had been in her mind.
The relationship between the Hollow Ancestor, the Four Elents Devil, and the Catastrophe Devil finally clicked into place.
The description of the Four Elents Devil given by the Astral Pavilion resurfaced in her mind.
"Four Elents Devil. Strength: Archdevil (Ascension). Description: Went missing two million years ago. Current whereabouts unknown. Suspected of having been imprisoned. Powers: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth."
With the scene in front of her and the final, hateful roar of this towering figure, Liora had an idea regarding the fate of this person.
"Was the Four Elents Devil killed by the Hollow Ancestor, who then went on to use his remains to support the entire Demon Layer?"
This was an outlandish conclusion. Yet, it perfectly explained the current situation.
The mont the suspected Four Elents Devil escaped his shackles, the Demon Layer itself started to break.
No longer having the four forbidden areas to suppress them, the four elents began to riot.
"What a grand undertaking. Using the remains of an Ancient Devil to support the Demon Layer. Such ambition. Such power. I’m afraid that few Ancient Devils can do so.", Liora couldn’t help but whisper.
That’s right. Although the Astral Pavilion’s information claid that the Four Elents Devil was rely at the Ascension Stage, Liora instantly realized that the other party had unknowingly reached the Ancient Devil stage.
However, this also left her sowhat puzzled.
What was the purpose of the Hollow Ancestor doing all of this?
Wouldn’t leaving the Four Elents Devil "alive" be a hidden danger?
Had he never expected that the Four Elents Devil would one day break free?
"More importantly, where is he right now?"
Several questions arose in Liora’s mind. Just as it seed she would not get an answer any ti soon, another shocking change occurred below.
