While Liora and the Blaspher were facing each other, a large-scale slaughter was quietly taking place in the outside world.
The many ranked Devils acted based on Liora’s commands and, with cold indifference, began eliminating every single Devil they happened to co across.
The city’s residents were unable to put up any form of resistance as they scrambled away in an attempt to escape, or better yet, find shelter.
Loud screams soon reverberated throughout the city, as even the always-cautious Scurry joined the battle, wanting to seek benefit from the chaos.
Just when it seed like blood would keep flowing forever, a sudden change occurred.
Out of nowhere, the yelling, battle sounds, and even the sound of breathing disappeared.
Only a heartbeat later, a piercing voice spread.
This voice lted directly into everyone’s ears and reached into their souls, causing the Devils’ expressions to twist in pain.
As the many garbled words kept repeating in their minds, the city’s residents—possessing strength not much greater than a Little Devil—were severely affected.
Their eyes glowed with a crimson color, and as if sothing had awakened within them, they turned their heads and looked at the people around them with cruelty.
A horrifying, distorted expression flashed across their faces as they instantly paused their previous actions and turned around.
Following a loud growl, they pounced on their forr companions, whether these people were their neighbors, close friends, or even "relatives".
"Hahaha! I almost forgot this feeling! The sweet taste of a wailing soul!", one Devil couldn’t help but laugh while facing the sky with tears streaming down his delighted face.
Unfortunately, he didn’t have ti to celebrate for long.
The mont he slightly let down his guard, a Devil appeared behind him and thrust their hand into his chest, taking out his heart, and throwing it into their mouth.
Then, after they collected his crying soul, they rushed toward the next place, looking for their next potential prey.

In the white expanse, Liora noticed the changes in the outside world, and she subconsciously let out a smile, knowing that her earlier action had indeed succeeded.
Unlike what one would expect, she had not influenced those Devils, but rely used Tongue of the Abyss to awaken their true nature.
Even without her, such a thing would happen sooner or later. Her voice only served to bring that ti forward.
"Wishing to change the nature of Devils is but a re dream. How could their nature, the nature of the Demon World itself, be so easy to defeat?"
Of course, Liora’s actions were not ant to toy with the "Holy" City’s residents. She was far from being so idle as to care about a bunch of weaklings.
From the very beginning, her target was her current opponent—the Blaspher.
And her plan proved to be surprisingly successful.
Raising her head, Liora looked at the Blaspher, who was chanically absorbing the souls surrounding him in an attempt to further improve his strength.
But compared to not long ago, these souls had undergone a massive change.
The mournful ghosts had completely shed their "holy" nature, transforming into ferocious, tiny Devils that had blood flowing out of their eyes and dripping out of their mouths.
"Why? Why should I die?"
"Lend ! Give your body!"
"Aren’t you a Saint? Why didn’t you save us? Why do you refuse to give another chance?"
Thousands of overlapping voices resounded throughout the white expanse, filling it with a bloodthirsty aura.
As if in response to their complaints, the entire expanse began to tremble violently.
The clouds below darkened and turned into an abnormal black mist, while the brilliant sun in the sky turned completely crimson, seemingly dripping with fresh blood.
The holy power perating throughout the expanse quickly disappeared, replaced by pure, unadulterated demonic energy.
Liora stared at this scene with a relaxed expression, feeling like she was returning to her natural environnt.
"This place was constructed using the faith of your believers. Originally, the ’kindness’ and loyalty of these Devils could have supported it for a long ti."
"Unfortunately, now that your believers have awakened their true nature and beco evil again, you’ll suffer a heavy backlash.", Liora explained as she stepped forward, as if she was telling the Blaspher what had just happened.
Unfortunately, the Blaspher didn’t seem to care about her kind-hearted explanation.
The change in his believers’ nature not only affected the so-called Holy Domain, but even he suffered backlash as a result.
Originally, he should have been able to withstand such backlash with his powerful strength, but now that his believers’ power had been integrated with him, their influence on him had beco even more apparent.
In re monts, the shiny golden armor he was wearing was riddled with cracks and deep pits, while the beautiful holy wings extending from his back turned dark, as if he were an angel falling from grace.
Pain, sorrow, and anger alternated constantly on his face, making him look like he had gone insane.
But, most importantly, his eyes had beco empty. Even when Liora mocked him, he showed no reaction.
It was only when she finally arrived beside him and stood before him that he lowered his head with difficulty and looked at her.
His dazed eyes reflected in Liora’s pupils as he opened his mouth and struggled to speak:
"Ki—kill ...", he whispered, stuttering as the words escaped his mouth.
His voice was hoarse and dry, like a lost traveler who had not drunk water for months.
Staring into his almost-lifeless eyes and feeling the movents within his body, Liora understood what was going on.
"Although the demonic energy and holy power are clashing in your body, you should be able to expel the latter."
"As long as you’re willing to give up your holy power, not only will you survive, but your strength will undergo a massive change..."
Hearing her words, the Blaspher didn’t respond, only letting out a dejected smile.
Since Liora could find a solution just by looking at him, he, as the owner of the body, had also noticed this option.
Clearly, the only reason he hadn’t done it was not because he couldn’t, but because he was simply unwilling.
Though he didn’t speak, Liora instantly understood his hidden aning.
"Originally, I believed that you were just pretending to be crazy in order to advance your goals. I didn’t expect that you would actually hold such grand ideals.", she said.
Seeing that the Blaspher still didn’t resist, allowing the two energies to form a battlefield within his own body, she didn’t hesitate for long.
"As you wish.", Liora whispered, and with a sudden movent, she thrust her hand forward, penetrating the left side of the Blaspher’s chest and clutching his heart.
Following a gentle squeeze, the large body of the Blaspher shook violently as the two clashing energies retreated.
"Tha—thank you...", were the Blaspher’s final words as his golden eyes gradually lost their luster and he collapsed to the ground.
Waving her hand and throwing the fresh blood all over the place, Liora cast a faint glance at the cold corpse lying in front of her.
"Madman...", she couldn’t help but murmur as she watched the space around her beginning to crumble.
