"Crash! Bang!"
Continuous crashing sounds echoed at the residence of the mander.
He, who had just returned from outside, was seething with anger. His fists were clenched, and his whole body was trembling.
Standing a few feet away, his two Great Knight followers wanted to interrupt but were afraid to speak.
They understood the reason why the mander was furious.
This was the umpteenth time that he had tried to visit that person, only for him to be driven away.
As the mander of the famous Infernal Army, when had he ever been treated like that?
Worst of all, this was done using the worst of excuses.
Which Knight went in "seclusion" for weeks at a time?
Could it be that that woman would soon ascend to the Throne of Gods and enter the Divine Realm?
Everyone could see that this was merely an excuse. Liora simply did not want to meet the mander and had ordered her servant to drive him away.
Let alone the mander, even they, his subordinates, found it difficult to keep their posure.
Especially when they recalled the gifts that their Lord had given to that person, their disgust towards Liora grew increasingly more apparent.
"Lord, why did we leave? Can’t we just demand that we meet that woman? That servant is only a maid after all! If we press her enough, she will have to plete our request and remind her of our arrival."

He raised his hand and slapped the table in front of him before turning to his subordinate.
"Are you stupid? Wouldn’t that pletely offend that person and force them to turn to Duchess Lobelia? Or do you think that we can just summon the army and besiege her?"
His voice was calm, but having followed him for a long time, the subordinate who spoke up noticed his annoyance. He swallowed the next words he was about to say.
In fact, the last part was really his thought.
In his opinion, no matter how strong Liora was, she would be unable to withstand the siege of the Infernal Army.
As long as the mander gave an order, he believed that they could assemble and severely injure her, teaching her a lesson.
If things reached that point, they might even kill her!
Sensing his thoughts, the mander didn’t scold him any further. He waved his hand and motioned his two subordinates to leave.
The moment they exited the room and closed the door behind them, the fury on his face vanished.
A pondering look replaced his earlier expression.
"Could it be that that woman is trying to acmodate the Godhead? Or is it that she is unwilling to interfere with the borders’ affairs?"
"According to the intelligence, she also refused to meet Duchess Lobelia’s people..."
Either way, as long as Liora did not choose to side with Duchess Lobelia, the mander would be satisfied.
In the cold war between them, he had the advantage.

Liora did not know the conversation that happened between the mander and his subordinates, nor could she possibly know his inner thoughts.
But given everything, she could guess something.

Sitting on top of the white clouds within the demi-plane of the Space Orb, Liora’s demonic energy wrapped around a large amount of beast blood and brought it before her face.
Although it was mere blood and its owner should be dead, it exuded a vast aura and vitality, as if it were still alive.
"The Beast Emperor did not cut any corners. This should be the blood of a King of Knights beast."
"It seems that the Founding Emperor has truly scarred it. He truly wants to help me improve my strength before the fight begins."
The Beast Emperor most likely believed that she could devour the blood of beasts to enhance her strength.
And it could not be said that its guess was wrong.
If Liora wished to, she could let the Myriad Devils Body absorb this blood, hence increasing her defenses and overall physical strength.
But she refrained from doing so.
Her crimson eyes reflected the similarly colored blood, and countless runes flashed within her pupils.
"Although we’ve signed the contract, it’s impossible to be certain that there’s nothing wrong with this blood."
"With the Beast Emperor’s control over the beast race, it could very easily tamper with it and have it possess unexpected effects."
Liora did not dare to underestimate such a powerful being.
If it were not for this being a low-level world and the lack of a way to advance further, the Beast Emperor might have long bee a True Devil.
Throughout the Heavens, such beings were already considered powerful.
After observing the blood for a few seconds and studying its secrets, Liora reached to the side and picked up a wooden chest, which she subsequently unlocked.
Instantly, the mysterious drop of blood was revealed floating inside, its appearance remaining unchanged.
Though Liora was now a Lesser Devil—and a strong one at that—she still felt that this blood was extremely bizarre, hiding mysteries that were impossible for a being of her level to decipher.
