"That..."
Victor’s eyelids twitched when he saw a black armor appearing on Kevin’s body.
He recognized it imdiately with a single glance. This was the exact armor he had sold to the World Magic Trade Center.
He did not expect the winner of the auction to be Kevin at all.
Seeing this scene, Headmaster Lance felt sowhat angry and helpless.
After all, most of their commoner-born students couldn’t compete with top family youngsters who had enough money and connections to support their mbers.
Just for this entrance examination, many wealthy families had spent enormous sums to buy rare items from the ga to give their children an edge in the competition. Even if they could not compare with Warlocks, it would still be enough to defeat most others.
Everyone in the audience exclaid upon seeing this scene.
"Heavens, it’s the armor from the auction!"
"I didn’t expect this guy to get his hands on it."
"It looks like the other person is without a background. What a sha. If not for the armor, he would have won."
"Are you saying just because he has this armor he will win?"
"Of course he will. That’s the advantage rich and influential youngsters have compared to you peasants."
"Haha, are you shocked? This armor, boots, and weapon—my parents got them for . A peasant like you could never afford such items."
Kevin said this with an arrogant smile, hoping to see a nervous expression on Victor’s face, but instead he found Victor looking at him strangely.
"Stop acting like a clown and just get it over with," Victor said in an indifferent tone.
"Hmph, just acting tough."
Kevin snorted.
Woosh!
This ti his speed was much faster due to the boost granted by the boots.
"How can this be?!"
Kevin shouted in a hoarse voice as he tried to strike Victor, but Victor was still dodging his attacks with ease, just like before when he wasn’t wearing any equipnt.
He even had the bizarre illusion that Victor had beco even faster.
Clenching his teeth, Kevin maintained a frustrated gaze and launched another attack.
People watched as Kevin attacked once more, only for Victor to dodge with ease.
Victor remained on the defensive, enjoying himself, as it was quite satisfying to watch Kevin grow increasingly frustrated as every one of his attacks was effortlessly avoided.
"Co on, Kevin... Is that all you can do?" Victor taunted.
"Shut up! Sooner or later I will hit you!!"
Kevin shouted and began using even more skills.
For the next few minutes, everyone watched Kevin unleash every attack in his arsenal, while Victor dodged every strike and occasionally defended with his arm.
"Mr. Vanglory’s speed is certainly very impressive..." one of the judges comnted to the Headmaster beside him.
There was a distinct look of admiration in his eyes as he watched Victor’s performance.
"Indeed, among all the examinees here... Victor is the most powerful student. His stats are astonishing... I don’t understand how soone can be this strong... he might even be stronger than those heirs," the Headmaster remarked.
Kevin had been using so many skills that he was beginning to feel the strain. Looking at Victor with increasing frustration, his breathing beca irregular and sweat trickled down his forehead.
"You’re just a coward, Victor. Attack too!" Kevin shouted, hoping to provoke Victor into attacking in anger.
"Alright... if you want that... then let’s see if you can handle this."
Victor spoke calmly, and in the next mont, a blue fla wisp appeared on his palm.
Kevin’s pupils constricted to the size of pinpricks.
"Damn, you’re a Warlock too?!"
This ti, Kevin looked at Victor with genuine fear.
"What? He’s a Warlock as well?!"
One of the judges directly jumped from his chair and looked at Victor with heated eyes.
"We must have him at any cost," another judge said in a serious voice, and the Headmaster also nodded in agreent.
Victor cast a Fireball skill, with Kevin quickly trying to dodge, but to no avail.
The mont the fireball touched his armor, he felt it burning.
"Nooooo!"
He scread as he felt the flas devouring his armor and lting it away.
He hurriedly tossed the armor aside and watched as the armor, boots, and weapon were all reduced to cinders.
"Damn it, $50 billion... all gone."
Kevin said through gritted teeth.
As soon as he looked toward Victor, he saw another fireball strike his left arm directly, and it was instantly turned to ashes.
Silence.
Silence filled the auditorium.
Kevin blinked for a few seconds as his brain struggled to register what had happened.
Then his face contorted in agony, and he rolled on the ground, letting out a shrill scream.
"AHHHH... MY ARMMMM!"
The referee ignored the screaming Kevin, who was rolling on the ground clutching his left shoulder, and announced:
"Winner: Victor Vanglory."
After the referee announced the result, Kevin was carried away by the dics, just like Ethan.
Half an hour later, all the matches were over, and it was ti to announce the results.
Lance stood up, imdiately catching everyone’s attention.
"Ahem."
Headmaster Lance suddenly called for everyone’s attention.
"I want to thank you all for your participation in this examination. We of the World Magic Academy are fortunate to have so many passionate youngsters such as yourselves aspiring to join the academy."
He paused.
"But this is where things get serious."
His tone suddenly changed.
"When your number is called, please take a step forward. There are five of us in total, and you will need at least three votes to pass the exam and join the academy."
Hearing this, a wave of unease spread through the examinees as it finally dawned on them just how important this mont would be for the rest of their lives.
"Headmaster Lance! Headmaster Lance! Headmaster Lance!"
Victor heard a few people cheering his na, while the others prayed with their fingers crossed, as joining the academy ant gaining access to valuable resources and many rare items and skills.
"Now then," Headmaster Lance continued. "Will participant number one please step forward."
