With so many evolution points at hand, Michael couldn't help but wonder how many it would take to evolve his three-star
extraordinary undead of Epic grade.
Of course, it was only curiosity-he had no intention of doing anything reckless. The last event alone had been enough to teach him what he needed to know: anything crossing into the realm of Epic grade was far from simple.
With that thought set aside, Michael's body within the coffin space began testing its physical strength, attempting to control it well enough to return to the real world.
A strange unease gnawed at him. For so reason, he felt as though an unreasonable amount of ti might have already passed since he had separated from everyone else.
In the Land of Origin, Michael did not imdiately leave. There was still one last task he had been putting off, sothing that gnawed at the back of his mind since the battle's end. The corpses of the three strongest monsters-the golden-maned lion, the serpent, and the crystalline beast-remained untouched.
Unlike the others, their bodies were intact. More importantly, Prince had not harvested their souls into puppets. They were still "whole," in a way that the other husks weren't.
Michael extended his hand. Black-green light coiled from his palm as he invoked Undead Revival.
The air shuddered.
A while later.
The first to stir was the lion, molten cracks glowing faintly across its chest before being extinguished in the pale fire of undeath. Its once-proud mane lost its luster entirely, strands dulling to ash-gray as its eyes opened-no longer golden, but a chilling green. The
serpent followed next, scales that once shimred now carrying a dark sheen. Last ca the crystal beast.
Three Rank 3 monsters-reborn.
Or so he thought.
The panels confird otherwise.
Michael's eyes narrowed. "Rank 2?"
It wasn't his own rank holding them back; his connection with them instantly told him the real reason.
The seeds were gone.
Without their Law Seeds, they had lost the very pillars that pushed them beyond Rank 2.
Their foundations had collapsed, reducing their race rank from three-star extraordinary to two-star.
He clicked his tongue softly. "So that's it. The seed really is everything."
Still, disappointnt didn't last long. Even as Rank 2 undead, they were formidable. Their size and natural abilities remained. They lacked the authority of Law, but their physical power hadn't vanished. They were far stronger than ordinary Rank 2s and could even still transform.
Michael studied them, silent for a long while.
A thought crept into his mind.
If they could be evolved-if he used his points to raise them-what would happen? Would they recover their previous Laws? Would new ones erge in their place?
The possibility was too valuable to ignore. He didn't dare touch anything Epic grade yet. But these three were below that threshold
now.
He could do whatever he liked a bit.
Michael's lips curved slightly, almost imperceptibly. "Let's see."
With a thought, his body within the coffin space stopped its training routine.
Soon Michael had three new rank 2 undead in front of him.
Without hesitation, he evolved all three at the sa ti, consuming almost two thousand evolution points at once.
The familiar scream rang out, putting Michael's heart at ease.
After what felt like a long while, three new Rank 3 monsters stood before him once again.
When he turned to examine their Laws, the answer to his earlier
question beca clear.
They hadn't gained new Laws at all-they had reclaid their old
ones.

Michael's brows furrowed slightly as he read. The serpent's poison and the lion's fire were exactly what he expected-straightforward Laws. Powerful, yes, but not particularly deep.
It was the crystal beast's Law that caught his attention. Reflection... a branch of light, subtle and elusive. It wasn't raw destruction, but it could turn an enemy's strength against them. In so ways, that made it far more dangerous.
Michael recalled so painful mories. Yet, though they stung, those mories made him appreciate the crystal beast even more.
The three monsters stood in silence in their beast forms. Rembering that they could also assu humanoid shapes, Michael found himself curious about their appearances. With a thought, he ordered them to transform.
The air shifted as his command rang out. Dark light rippled over the three towering forms, bones cracking, flesh twisting, scales and crystal plates shuddering as their shapes bent unnaturally. The lion moved first. Its massive mane receded, collapsing inward as fur shortened into thick, wild strands of red hair. A burly fra erged with broad shoulders and muscled like carved stone. When the transformation ended, a middle-aged man stood before Michael, his beard thick and bushy. His green eyes glowed faintly. His chest was bare, muscles corded like steel cables, every movent radiating raw power.
The serpent followed, its coils unraveling violently. Black scales
lted away into pale skin, leaving streaks of reptilian texture clinging to his shoulders and neck. When the light dimd, a tall, semi-old man stood where the serpent had been. His features were sharp, almost cruelly handso, with lines of age that gave him a weathered, dangerous allure. The scales that remained along his jaw and neck glistened faintly, and his eyes-narrow and slitted-retained their venomous gleam. He radiated malice.
Michael was a but taken back by his appearance.
He looked like the kind of man he wouldn't let close to Aunt Mia for
any reason at all.
Finally, Michael's gaze turned to the crystal beast.
It was actually a female.
No wonder it was particularly vicious.
