A ripple spread through the air and the palm-sized coffin erged silently beside him.
Michael opened it casually and summoned Wisdom back out alongside several large boxes filled with materials.
The owl instantly flew out energetically again as though being separated for even a short mont had been unbearable.
"Masterrr!"
Its silver-black body darted through the forest air rapidly, occasionally phasing in and out of space before circling around Michael repeatedly.
Michael simply let it play nearby while he focused his attention on the materials laid out before him.
At first glance, the total volu did not seem particularly large.
Only two reinforced boxes.
But Michael knew very well that the actual value inside was absurd.
Especially the fifteen spatial stones.
In Aurora, spatial materials were considered extrely rare resources, and this was universally true beyond Aurora as well.
The fact that Rynne had managed to gather this amount in such a short ti honestly spoke volus about her background and connections.
Of course, not all of it had been freely given.
Part of these materials counted as Michael's share from the living steel he had helped Rynne secure.
The rest was compensation from a few favors she owed, which amounted to nothing given that he owed her a larger favor since she had stopped him from becoming a kidnapping victim.
Looking at the neatly arranged spatial treasures, Michael suddenly wondered if he had sold the living steel too cheaply.
After all, even degraded, that thing had still been an Epic-grade material. A living tal capable of growth. Most likely it had returned to being an Epic-grade item by now.
The more Michael thought about it, the more he wondered if he had let go of an amazing treasure.
But the thought only lasted a second before Michael shook his head lightly.
"It doesn't matter."
What could so tal compare to his own treasure?
His gaze shifted toward the nearby Wisdom.
Compared to this bundle of cuteness, the living steel was nothing.
Michael crouched slightly and picked up one of the spatial stones. It was cold to the touch.
Inside it, distorted silver currents flowed continuously like liquid space trapped within solid matter.
Even the surrounding air warped faintly around it.
Nearby, Wisdom suddenly froze mid-flight.
Its silver eyes imdiately locked onto the stone in Michael's hand.
The owl swallowed audibly.
Then—
"Shiny food? Mine?"
Michael almost laughed.
"You can already tell?"
Wisdom imdiately appeared beside him through a short-range spatial jump and rubbed against his arm excitedly.
"Mine. Mine. Mine."
Michael flicked the owl lightly on the head.
"Greedy bird."
Wisdom puffed up indignantly.
Michael shook his head helplessly. It seed this creature had forgotten the pain from last ti.
Well, it didn't matter. After all, it would survive this one too.
"Wait, Master….."
Just as it seed like the owl had finally rembered sothing, Michael had already extracted a small drop of his blood essence, wrapped it together with Wisdom and the two boxes within his mana.
[rge 'Wisdom' with extraordinary spatial materials?]
"Yes."
Michael did not hesitate, and soon the extraordinary scene that had played out thousands of tis, to the point of numbness, repeated itself again.
The mont Michael confird the rge, the fifteen spatial stones shattered simultaneously.
A violent light exploded outward.
Space distorted instantly.
The forest around Michael blurred heavily as layers of spatial ripples spread through the surroundings one after another like invisible tides. Even the nearby trees began flickering in and out of existence from the unstable spatial pressure leaking outward.
At the center of it all, Wisdom let out a startled cry.
"MASTER WAIT—!"
Then the owl vanished completely beneath the white radiance.
Unlike the previous ti, the rging process this ti was absurdly long.
One minute passed.
Then ten.
Then thirty.
Then an hour.
Michael's expression slowly beca more serious.
Usually rges did not take this long.
Even many of his Extraordinary-rank undead had completed their evolutions in under an hour.
But Wisdom's transformation showed no signs of stopping.
The white cocoon surrounding the owl at so point turned silver.
The surrounding mana beca increasingly chaotic.
Like this, hours passed quietly.
Finally, at roughly the fifth hour, the violent spatial fluctuations suddenly stopped.
The silver light surrounding Wisdom rapidly began collapsing inward.
The gigantic cocoon shrank continuously and the distorted space gradually stabilized.
A mont later, the bright silver radiance fully faded.
Standing in the middle of the slightly ruined clearing was an unfamiliar figure carrying an extrely familiar aura.
Michael's eyes narrowed slightly.
Before he could properly focus on Wisdom's new form, a flood of notifications suddenly exploded across his vision.
[rge Successful.]
['Voidfeather' has successfully evolved to Spatial Void Raven Owl]
[Species Grade: Extraordinary ★★★]
[Wisdom has levelled up to Level 50 [MAX!].]
[New Skill Acquired: Void Stomach]
[The user may create independent folded storage dinsions connected directly to its body. Living and non-living matter may both be stored depending on stability and available mana. Storage capacity is dependent on rank.]
Michael's pupils constricted slightly.
A storage-type skill?
And not a simple one either, since it could store living beings as well.
Then there was another skill Wisdom had gained.
[New Skill Acquired: Spatial Mark]
[Spatial Mark: The user may imprint spatial coordinates onto targets, objects, or locations. Once marked, the target can be tracked across vast distances through spatial resonance.]
Michael's eyes slowly narrowed.
This skill seed a bit terrifying.
As long as Wisdom managed to leave a mark behind, escaping pursuit would beco vastly more difficult.
Before Michael could continue reviewing the notifications, movent finally ca from the clearing ahead.
The unfamiliar figure slowly lifted its head.
Silver-white eyes opened gradually.
At first glance, Wisdom still resembled an owl.
But only vaguely.
Its body was now considerably larger, almost reaching Michael's chest in height while standing normally.
Its feathers were still silver-black but carried a faint hint of green.
What surprised Michael more was that this was the first creature he had evolved with his blood that still did not inherit his eyes.
"Master?"
Its voice sounded much clearer than before. Still childish though, which made it familiar.
Michael stared at the owl for several seconds.
Then Wisdom suddenly vanished.
Michael's instincts exploded instantly.
But before he could react—
Two wings wrapped around his neck from behind.
"Wisdom stronger now!"
Michael's eyes twitched slightly.
He genuinely had not sensed the movent clearly.
This was absurd. Very absurd.
Even stranger was the fact that Wisdom's movent did not feel like speed.
It felt more like—
Skipping space itself.
Michael slowly exhaled.
Then he looked toward the floating notifications again before finally focusing on the most important line among them.
[Wisdom has reached Level 50 (MAX).]
Which ant—
It was ti for advancent.
