Not long after, the office door was pushed open.

A man over two ters tall, with a physique as robust as an exotic beast and a bald head, walked in.

Recognizing the man’s face, which bore a strong resemblance to Guan Pingchao, Lu Lin thought, This must be Guan Kuang.

"Teacher Guan." Han Fei quickly stood up to greet him.

Having been with Lu Lin and the others just monts before, Han Fei, not knowing them well, had naturally let the others do most of the talking while he listened quietly.

"Hello, Principal Han. Sorry I’m late."

"It’s fine, it’s fine. Teacher Guan, please take Xiao Fei to his boxing practice first."

"Okay." Guan Kuang agreed and was about to turn and leave.

"Teacher Guan, please wait a mont." Lu Lin stood up. "Teacher Guan," he called out, stopping Guan Kuang. "Is your na Guan Kuang?"

"Yes." Guan Kuang nodded, his tiger-like eyes staring at Lu Lin, then at Han Ya, clearly puzzled.

Lu Lin wasted no words, directly executing Inch Step to appear beside Guan Kuang.

Guan Kuang’s eyes lit up. Inch Step?!

This was his unique secret technique, invincible on the Exotic Battlefield, aiding him in combat, escape, concealnt, and reconnaissance. How could I not recognize it? But how does Lu Lin know Inch Step?

"Is this... Inch Step?"

"Yes." Lu Lin nodded and then explained his connection to Guan Pingchao.

Guan Kuang listened without a change in expression, then suddenly swung a palm at Lu Lin.

"Damn it! So you’re the Lu Lin who broke my granddaughter’s heart!"

"To think we’d run into each other here, truly a narrow road for enemies."

"Kid, you never expected to fall into my hands, did you?"

Although Guan Kuang spoke harshly, the slap carried little force and wasn’t fast.

Lu Lin took a small half-step back and easily dodged the attack.

With an awkward expression, he said, "Teacher Guan, you might not understand the full situation. President Guan and I haven’t known each other for long. I’ve always considered her a friend. I never thought..."

"You never expected she’d fall for you, did you?"

"Sigh, I’ve said it before. That girl, despite her icy deanor, actually bears all her grievances alone."

"You brat, sigh, you brat..." Guan Kuang wanted to say, You brat, couldn’t you have just lied to Guan Yue a little?

But the thought of his granddaughter needing deception to find happiness was sothing he couldn’t accept.

He could only wave his hand dismissively, say no more, and lead Han Fei out of the office for training.

Zhou Ziqiang and Han Ya looked at Lu Lin with curious expressions.

"Mr. Lu, when did you have such a history on Saturn? You never ntioned it."

"Yeah, Lu Lin, tell us! What exactly happened?"

Their gossipy expressions left Lu Lin rather speechless. They were so serious just a mont ago. How did they change so completely upon hearing this?

With no alternative, Lu Lin could only recount the less critical details to them.

Even so, they both listened with rapt attention.

He spoke of their initial eting, of guiding Star Skills together in other cities, of her feelings being inadvertently revealed at the Promotion Banquet, and finally, of her rushing to Boppu Air Cargo Airport, disregarding everything, to see him off.

A vivid image of a passionate girl, clear in her affections and aversions, ford in their minds.

"Lu Lin, you don’t know how to cherish such a wonderful girl. Sigh, you’re truly too young."

"Mr. Lu, doing that... wouldn’t Guan Yue be heartbroken?"

"Also, Mr. Lu, don’t tell you’ve been on Saturn all this ti and haven’t contacted Guan Yue even once?"

Lu Lin shook his head.

It wasn’t that he hadn’t thought of contacting Guan Yue. But on what grounds could he do so? They weren’t related by blood or marriage; at best, they could barely be considered friends now. If he eagerly sent her ssages, what if Guan Yue’s feelings for him were rekindled?

Little did he know that at this very mont, the Starship carrying Guan Yue had just landed at Boppu Air Cargo Airport.

Accompanying her was Lu Lin’s old classmate, Zheng Yulong.

"President Guan, let’s take a cab directly to Chongnuo City later."

"That fellow Lu Lin also ntioned he’s from Iron Blood College; he should be based in Chongnuo City too."

"Alright." Guan Yue was still in her usual white shirt, jeans, and plain, black-frad glasses.

After Lu Lin left Saturn, she lost her appetite and couldn’t sleep, a sight that gave Guan Pingchao a constant headache.

On one occasion, Guan Pingchao, having grown impatient watching her suffer, blurted out, "If you really like Lu Lin, then go to Alien and chase after him!"

"They say a man chasing a woman is like crossing a mountain, but a woman chasing a man is like piercing a veil."

"That brat Lu Lin... my daughter is so wonderful, yet he doesn’t know how to cherish her! He’s truly blind!"

Guan Yue didn’t hear a single word he said after that.

Her mind was consud by that one sentence: If you like him, go to Alien and chase him.

After a night of intense contemplation, Guan Yue submitted an application to the Saturn Star Guide Association. She stated her wish to go to Chongnuo City on Alien to guide Star Skills for Human Martial Artists, thereby enhancing the overall strength of the Human Race.

She was a Senior Star Guidance Master; she felt she shouldn’t remain in the safe rear, rely guiding Star Skills daily for newly awakened youths.

The Saturn Star Guide Association attempted to dissuade her twice, as was customary, but eventually approved her application, permitting her transfer to the Star Guide Association in Chongnuo City on Alien.

Before departing, Guan Yue specifically found Zheng Yulong, who was only an apprentice Star Guide, to buy tickets with him and travel by Starship to Alien.

"Xiao Zheng, see what’s happening over there. Why are there so many people?" Guan Yue asked, pointing to the War God Alliance’s registration booth.

Zheng Yulong took a look and returned, saying, "President Guan, that’s the recruitnt booth for the renowned War God Alliance on Alien. The War God Alliance is a well-known organization here, semi-officially managed by the Federation."

"However, their recruitnt standards are very high."

"Oh? How high? Let’s go take a look."

Guan Yue glanced at the recruitnt signboard and thought, Zheng Yulong was right; these requirents are certainly not low.

This was her first ti on Alien. During her university years, Guan Yue had been on Blue Star.

Because she disliked the Exotic Battlefield; to be precise, despite being Guan Kuang’s granddaughter and Guan Pingchao’s daughter, she had no interest in fighting or boxing whatsoever.

If it weren’t for Lu Lin, Guan Yue might never have set foot on this planet, a world perpetually poised for combat.

"President Guan, should we try to join?"

"Look, it says here that people from all four major professions can join."

"Wait. First, ask if Lu Lin has joined the War God Alliance. If he hasn’t, then never mind."

Hearing Guan Yue’s words, Zheng Yulong gave a helpless smile and walked up to ask the girl at the reception desk.

The person at reception today wasn’t Long Qiansu, Sister Long.

The girl had never heard such a strange request. She checked her Personal Terminal and inford Zheng Yulong, "There are twelve mbers nad Lu Lin in the War God Alliance. The most recent one joined five days ago and has already passed the Second Certification, becoming a... Level 4 mber of the War God Alliance."

The girl’s eyes widened as she stared at the level insignia beside Lu Lin’s avatar, completely stunned.

That’s impossible! Newcors usually start at Level 2 or Level 3. No one ever begins higher than Fourth Level! How could this Lu Lin be so unusual? Could there be a system error?

Zheng Yulong didn’t concern himself with what the receptionist might do next; he simply turned and relayed the information to Guan Yue.

A faint smile touched Guan Yue’s lips.

No doubt about it. This newly joined Lu Lin must be the Lu Lin I know. After all, only a man I have my eye on could be this outstanding.

"Xiao Zheng, go register. We’re joining the War God Alliance too."

"Understood."

Zheng Yulong, perfectly fulfilling the duties of a subordinate, stepped forward to register their information.

In the Innate Attribute column, he wrote—ntal.
