Exotic Battlefield: I Can Activate Dual Talents Chapter 37 - 35, [Star Skill Evasion]
It took nearly an hour for Lu Lin to finally complete the refinent of his Second Star Vein.
At this mont, the Second Star Vein was suffused with a green glow.
Star Power flowed along the Star Veins, flickering and emitting a brilliant light.
"Phew—finally succeeded," Lu Lin let out a long breath.
Without the aid of a high-concentration Star Power Array, it had taken him an hour to refine a re 0.2% of his Star Veins. This was partly due to the increased difficulty of making the final breakthrough to 100% perfection. More importantly, it was because the Star Power concentration at ho was too low.
Just to refine this 0.2% of his Star Veins, Lu Lin had to stop and recover his Star Power three tis.
No wonder those online posts said cultivation speed skyrockets after entering University; it must be due to the Star Power Gathering Array there, he mused.
Once the Star Vein Refinent Degree reached 100% perfection, a stabilization period would follow. The duration of this period varied: so needed a few days, while others required one or two months. During this ti, Star Core Warriors could receive guidance to comprehend new Star Skills. They could also spar with other Martial Artists or, if strong enough, venture into the Exotic Battlefield for hunting.
It was precisely because Lu Lin had considered this stabilization period that he had been rushing to improve his cultivation over the past two days. Now that his refinent had reached perfection, he could attempt self-guided comprehension of Star Skills.
After a short break, Lu Lin readjusted his state and entered the Consciousness Universe.
He activated his Star Power Domain, allowing it to envelop him. He focused on maintaining the Star Power Domain, preventing its dissipation.
Lu Lin quickly exited the Consciousness Universe and entered his Star Power Domain, succeeding on his first try.
Before him lay a vast, boundless desert. Its edges were dotted with countless patches of dry earth and scattered gravel.
This was Lu Lin’s second ti entering his Star Power Domain, and the experience still felt quite novel.
He walked around, comparing the scene within the domain to his normal perception.
Before long, Lu Lin arrived at the spot where Xiao Ru had previously summoned the Black Hole.
Thinking about it now, that Black Hole was actually Xiao Ru’s summoning array, he pondered. Although I don’t understand why it’s different from a traditional hexagram, it doesn’t really matter. Whether summoned from a hexagram or dragged out of a black hole, as long as the exotic beast serves Xiao Ru, that’s all that matters.
Standing where Xiao Ru had comprehended her Star Skill, Lu Lin suddenly felt a stirring in his heart.
It seems I might also be able to comprehend Xiao Ru’s summoning skill, he thought.
After a mont of careful sensing, Lu Lin realized he was overthinking things. He possessed an Earth Talent; comprehending Summoning-System Star Skills was impossible for him.
Shaking his head, Lu Lin reluctantly gave up.
Previously, in Jiang Yueming’s Star Power Domain, Lu Lin could climb trees, pick fruit, and playfully wreak havoc on the forest’s flora. But now, in his own Star Power Domain, Lu Lin felt he could do little more than wander.
He couldn’t help but admire Xiao Ru. To successfully comprehend Star Skills in a Star Power Domain like this... calling her a heaven-sent genius is an understatent of her talent.
But in a place like this, how am I supposed to comprehend Star Skills?
Lu Lin sat cross-legged in the desert, lost in thought.
An idea struck him.
Xiao Ru used her Innate Attribute within my Star Power Domain to summon that black hole. If I use my own Star Skills within the domain, will that also trigger so kind of change?
Acting on the thought imdiately, Lu Lin stood up and activated Stone Skin.
One second passed, then two. Suddenly, he stopped.
I’ve already had my Second Talent Awakening; Stone Skin is useless here, he realized. There’s no one to attack in my domain anyway. War Cry would be equally ineffective.
As for Perception, it was his passive skill, almost constantly active. He’d been perceiving for so ti now but hadn’t detected anything out of the ordinary.
Is my approach to comprehension wrong? he wondered. The Perception skill originated from that eye—the one that, in hindsight, was terrifyingly enormous. In that case, why not try looking at this world using only my eyes? Maybe sothing will change.
As a Star Core Warrior, he could now exert localized control over so of his bodily functions. Lu Lin sealed off his senses of taste and sll, originating from his mouth and nose, and also his sense of hearing. The tactile sensations from his skin, however, were beyond his ability to suppress; they remained.
As he observed the yellow sand world of his Star Power Domain using only his eyes, sothing before him suddenly seed different.
Lu Lin couldn’t quite articulate what was different. But different it was.
He clearly saw the evolution of a gust of wind.
Variations in air pressure generated wind. As the wind blew, it stirred up Sand Grains from the desert. These Sand Grains, in turn, subtly amplified the wind’s force. Consequently, the wind grew increasingly powerful, carrying an ever-greater number of Sand Grains.
Slowly, very slowly, this newly ford wind began to move towards Lu Lin.
At this mont, Lu Lin felt no fear or alarm. This is just my Star Power Domain, he reassured himself. Even if a terrifying sandstorm hits, it won’t cause any real harm.
Thus, Lu Lin calmly watched as the sandstorm grew larger and drew nearer. To him, the sandstorm appeared to transform into a ferocious desert behemoth, capable of obliterating anything with a re sweep of its arm or stomp of its foot.
It was colossal. It possessed infinite Divine Energy. Its nature was savage. It was an agent of pure destruction.
As the terrifying sandstorm bore down on him, Lu Lin, for no apparent reason, experienced a peculiar sensation. Inspiration struck. He felt he could evade this desert behemoth’s attack.
He felt the faint sting of Sand Grains peppering his skin. The sandstorm, naturally ford within the Star Power Domain, possessed an almost perfect realism.
Lu Lin slowly rose. He kept his senses of sll, taste, and hearing sealed, remaining perfectly motionless.
The storm approached.
Suddenly, Lu Lin’s figure flashed, shifting over a hundred ters sideways in an instant.
The storm, seemingly enraged by Lu Lin’s maneuver, roared and lunged at his new position.
A faint smile played on Lu Lin’s lips. His feet remained planted, yet his entire body flickered once more—two hundred ters this ti.
Yes, this is it! This is the feeling!
The smile on Lu Lin’s face broadened; he could perceive the trajectory of the sandstorm’s every assault. As long as I can see its path, I can definitely dodge it!
When the sandstorm attacked again, Lu Lin stood entirely undaunted.
Its attack trajectory—found it! It’s here!
Lu Lin’s form flickered again, evading the sandstorm’s onslaught.
Through repeated assaults and evasions, Lu Lin quickly familiarized himself with how to use his new Star Skill.
[Star Skill: Evasion]
[Introduction: An omnipresent perception lets you feel the slightest breeze passing by, making it impossible for any attack to hit you (passive skill)]
[Remark: Waltz gracefully in the rain of bullets and spears!]
Evasion. This was the second Star Skill of his Second Talent.
A satisfied smile gracing his features, Lu Lin withdrew from the Star Power Domain and re-entered the Consciousness Universe.
The Star Power Domain had not yet vanished. Within the eyeball, concealed beneath the pervasive yellow sand, he located the Star Skill he had just comprehended. Much like Xiao Ru’s ’Summon Cat’ skill, the Evasion Star Skill was now also etched onto the eyeball.
As long as he encountered a suitable individual, he could impart this Star Skill to them.
Still, it’s unlikely there’s another person in this world with a dual talent like mine, right?
Retracting the Star Power Domain, Lu Lin’s Consciousness Universe once more descended into pitch darkness.
At this point, I can’t really say whether the pitch-black Consciousness Universe is preferable, or if the bizarre, eyeball-centric Star Power Domain is more comfortable. Truth be told, neither is particularly pleasant.
Hm? That’s not right. Just a mont ago, the Second Star Vein was entirely green. How did a sliver of blue suddenly appear on it?
A breakthrough? Have I entered the realm of a Level 1 Star Core Warrior?
This is... far too easy, isn’t it?
