Chapter 134: A little change
But it did not. The reason he never spoke about his feelings for her is that Sophia, his friend, was extrely beautiful. Ever since she was little, she had always hated boys, they would always look at her lustfully, propose to her, and try to get close to her. Even other girls would harbor bad intentions towards her, considering her beauty, rich family, and near-perfect academic achievents, she was also very good at many female sports. She was utterly perfect with a funny and humorous personality.
Tyler, being soone who grew up with her side by side, never treated her like that; he always treated her like an actual friend, never buttering up to her. Instead, talking to her rudely and roasting her just as friends do. She only had him as an actual friend. But Tyler fell in love with her at so point, as they grew up together, but knowing his friend, he never ever showed any traces of such feelings towards her, kept quiet, just to remain by her side. And he would do whatever it takes to do that, that’s how great his obsession was for her. A trickle of tears fell from his eyes, just thinking about her.
All the tis they spent together joking, having fun while talking pure nonsense, he would never be able to see her again, and how he left her all alone. His heart ached so so badly just at the thought of it, as tears fell from his eyes, dropping onto the bathwater, the small sounds of the droplets hitting the water, felt like a thousand-ton hamr was hitting him each ti, weighing on his chest.
He placed a hand on his chest and muttered in pain, “Why does it hurt even more. Why doesn’t the feeling go away? Why doesn’t she go away from my mind? Why, why, why why why why why why why why why why why????????”
He was spiraling into a pit of despair. Axel eventually fell asleep, muttering to himself inconsequentially. Words that are incomprehensible to anyone but him.
The next day, Axel was in his runic class, listening to the words of Professor Alfred’s explanation on runic sorcery. So things changed in him as a result of what happened last night; his gaze towards Lumina, which previously held a trace of lust in it, was no longer the sa; it beca neutral. While outwardly he acted the sa as always, being formal and cordial to everyone in general. He is friendly and easygoing with his friends.
Being idiotic and codic with close friends, which was only Heinz. Being competitive and hard to deal with, when it ca to Prince Lucien. When the class was close to its end, Professor Alfred asked a question directed towards him, “Axel, my boy, I wonder if this old man can ask sothing of you? Of course, if this is sothing inappropriate for to ask and sothing which you do not want to talk about, please let know.”
Axel’s eyebrows slightly rose at that statent as he focused on his runic sorcery classes professor. The professor added again to clarify his intentions, “Well, the reason why I am asking this question in front of the whole class is because, if you do give us so insight, your fellow runecasters might find it to be of great help in their own endeavors.”
Axel humd thoughtfully for a mont and answered respectfully, “Please ask away, Professor Alfred, if it is indeed sothing I can answer, I will. If not, then I can only apologize to you and my fellow peers for being unable to disclose it, for it being sothing too personal.”
The Professor hurriedly waved his hand with a smile, quite pleased by the sophisticated answer of Axel, “Oh, no, no, my boy, it’s quite alright, it’s this old man who is likely in the wrong here.”
The other runecasters also said similar words to him, though none of them contained any honest intent in their words. Axel could already surmise what the question would be about; he just sold his engraved weapons yesterday, after all.
Professor Alfred then proceeded to ask the question away, as if eager to know the answer of it himself in a way, “I have seen one of the weapons made by you, and even soone as good as , who is one of the notable experts in runecasting, in the entirety of humanity, I could not understand it properly, to be honest.”
“I an, I understand what it was doing, but I don’t understand how exactly?” added the professor, further clarifying his curiosity on the matter.
Well, yes, he was expecting sothing like this; he obviously would not reveal why or how exactly, he had a sinking suspicion that his runic professor would not ask such a question if he knew about his runic eyes. But he couldn’t be sure about it. Since it wasn’t entirely because of his runic eyes that he was so good after all. The sold weapons of his were among the batch of the least promising of his products. Their better engraved ones had the sa abilities in them, but they were much potent and efficient.
He started to think for a mont, he already knew what he would answer with, but it needs to be seen as if he was struggling to say it, and make it seem like sothing that he should not reveal, but it’s not really anything much, though it would indeed be trendously helpful to his fellow peers, as for the professor he likely already knew so of it.
Everyone watched in baited breath, as Axel was deliberating to himself on whether to say it or not, but Lumina only snickered internally, she knew at least this much about Axel that, he would never reveal sothing he did not want to, especially with those whom he did not have any emotional attachnt with. Translation – basically, he did not give two hoots about what happened with those he did not care about.
Eventually, Axel let out a defeated sigh and stated, “Ok, I will tell you what I can, but I’m afraid it might not be as useful as you think, professor.”
All of Axel’s peers narrowed their eyes, so even let out a happy yelp on the note, receiving so crucial information from Axel. The professor only nodded, nudging him to continue his speech. Axel started speaking, directing his words towards everyone equally. “Okay, everyone, then please pay attention to the words I have to say.”
