Chapter 140: Secrets of the ‘Three’
Lumina frowned and asked him, “What are you talking about?”
Axel sighed to himself and said in exasperation, “Sigh, you know Lumina, you’re really beautiful.”
An involuntary smile appeared on her face as she was caught off guard by the sudden complint out of nowhere, but before she could say anything to him, he added while pointing one finger towards her forehead, “But it’s a bit sad that you’re so empty in here, you know.”
Her smile cracked, and she gritted her teeth. Of course, how could this bastard complint her without taking a jab at her in the process? Then her usual episode of furious punches followed. Axel didn’t even apologize to her this ti; she was even more angered. Well, she was only pretending to be angry; they were basically making fun of each other, that is all.

“Okay, now let explain the connection between the two topics, and so more insights into the three absolute runes,” stated Axel.
He continued in a serious undertone, “You see, since all the rune symbols of each level from the runic language converge and the number of runes on the higher levels decreases sequentially.”
“So, if you think about it deeply it wasn’t the lower level of runes which combine together or coalesce into the higher ones rather, it is the three absolute runes which each have been fragnted into two each ti for a total of 4 tis, to make the 4 levels of runic language.”
“It’s like this, the 3 absolute runes break them each into 2, we get the 6 advanced runes, break those into 2 as well, you get the 12 extended runes, again break them into two and you get the 24 basic rune symbols, aka the 4th level of the runic language.”
“Now, you might as well ask, why are we not breaking down the 24 basic symbols into two each, but instead fragnting them into three each to make the so-called pseudo runes? And why are all the pseudo runes in that case not registered as another level of runic language?”
Lumina, who listened intently to all this, thought for a mont and asked, “Why? Is it sothing like fragnting the 24 basic runes into two each sohow, isn’t possible? You just have to fragnt them into three to generate sothing workable and stable?”
“No, you see there are two words that I used here, one is ‘breaking’ the three absolute runes continuously for 4 tis, other one is ‘fragnting’ the 24 basic runes into three each, and I presu we have to do sa three fragntation for the other three levels of runic languages symbols, on the condition we ever reach that stage of power that is.”
“So, in actuality, one is a process of equal division other is a process of partial degradation until one third of a complete rune remains, and is sothing workable as well.”
“Again, I still haven’t explained what exactly the connection is between the three absolute runes and three rule fragntation, have I?”
Lumina frowned and stated the obvious, “The 3 absolute runes, and there’s the fragntation of exactly three for each of the main runes for progressing through each of the three minor stages? There’s definitely a connection between each of the three things.”
She added in frustration, “Why the hell does it feel like there are three into everything now?”
Axel chuckled and exclaid in praise as he finally dropped the revelation boldly, “That is indeed the case, because everything cos back in a full circle, and what is the absolute rune symbol which is a formation of a circle between two different states of existence?”
He eyes widened in disbelief as all the boxes finally checked into their rightful places, her mind went into a hyperdrive as she realized the full scale of a runecasters complex power system, Axel looked at her in appreciation as the full shock finally descended on her, she finally uttered after understanding the full scope of it, “Breaking each of the absolute runes continuous into two equals, which corresponds to the first two of the absolute runes, existence and non-existence. And the last fragntation of three basically indicates going back to the three absolute runes or maybe mirroring it.”
“And the nature of going back to the very start of it, making it a full circle, thus indicating the third one of the absolute rune, the concept of eternity.”
She looked into the eyes of Axel for confirmation, to which she found him smiling at her proudly, which for the obvious reasons, seeing that breath takingly handso face looking at her like that, made her own heart swell up in genuine happiness, but she did not let it affect her and asked one more thing she was confused about, “So, you found such in depth information of runic sorcery in your trial world? The trial world in which I was did not even have the concept of fragntation.”
Axel sighed at that obvious question. Not only Lumina, but Axel had asked around all of his fellow peers about this particular thing, and they had different types of runic sorcery systems in those worlds, but with a more or less similar main foundation in place. But there was one thing common between all of them, which is that, in all of those worlds, there was no concept of fragntation of the complete runes into three; it was unique to the Eldarion continent itself.
He finally stated the truth to her, explaining to her how, in his trial world, there was no concept of rune fragntation or pseudo runes. She frowned at him and asked,
“How is that even possible? In that case, how was there this kind of research? It’s not possible to produce this type of information without that rule in there? Unless….”
She looked at him, her eyes widened, and an almost impossible realization dawned upon her. She couldn’t believe it.
Axel added with a sigh, “Yes, there wasn’t; this information was never from the trial world.”
“You? You… you ca up with this?” she asked, stuttering in almost panic.
Axel shrugged, “Yeah, I guess.”
Well, truth be told. He did get the initial idea of it from the ditation technique of Durein Nightcrown, aka Damien Nomrad, his grandfather. But the theory? He was indeed the one who ca up with, while studying the differences between the power system of runic sorcery between this world and the trial world.
“You monster?????” uttered Lumina in sheer disbelief, looking at him as if he were an otherworldly alien or sothing.
Axel only chuckled in response to that. After she had cald down, he began to explain to her more, “As you already might have realized, this complex system was most likely sothing designed by soone or sothing, likely the pri nexus, so that weak beings can follow it and beco stronger. The reason behind it? You’re guess for it is as good as mine.”
“Now, let’s get into a bit more in-depth. Another question is what exactly does existence, non-existence, and eternity an? What would be an actual example of it?”
“That’s right?” questioned Lumina.
“Existence is basically the material plane, the physical world, and everything in it, and non-existence is the immaterial world. What I can refer to here as sothing immaterial is ‘Dreams’, maybe a world made of dreams. I don’t know. As for Eternity, I can guess it to be ‘consciousness or soul’. Now I don’t know what is connection between the two is, unfortunately.”
“And why can consciousness or soul be an elent of eternity? That is because even when you dream and enter a different reality through it, you’re consciousness or soul enters it as well. It perhaps takes a different form, maybe, but it remains, eternally.”
Lumina clutched her head and gestured for Axel to stop. There was too much information for her at once many she understood understand things, but totally and many things simply went over her head. She needed a few days to fully process all of it. After so thought, she asked the final question in mind,
“So, if I’m not wrong, all of this leads to one simple conclusion for now and how it is actually helpful, which is that, when engraving any pseudo rune, you have to align it as much as possible with one of the three absolute runes concepts?”
