Sophia was, for the first ti in a long ti was simply stunned; she was stunned by the arrogant or ‘dismissive’ behavior of Axel. When she heard the words, ‘Let’s not et each other unless necessary.’
A visible anger was shown on her face, and no, the man wasn’t even pretending to get her attention; rather, he truly ant the words, aning he didn’t even like being in the sa room as her, aning he couldn’t stand the sight of her. For soone who was desired by every male that ever laid their eyes on her, she.. couldn’t process that behavior.
She just couldn’t accept it; she could accept the fact that he wasn’t attracted to her anymore, no, it was sothing she appreciated. But those words were blatant disrespect towards her, and she couldn’t stand that, not to ntion she didn’t understand why this man was so apprehensive of her like that.
She stood up from her chair in a graceful and extrely swift motion, her dress also moved swiftly in response to her sudden movent, she pushed her right foot on the ground gently, and almost in an instant, she appeared right behind Axel, put her slender and jade white hand on his shoulder, but unlike the frail structure and beauty exuding from just her palms, the strength of a colossal mountain pressed on Axel, as he was forced to stop.
She said to him in a nacing tone that could send chills down the spine of anyone, “What did you just say?”
Axel was stopped in his tracks; he couldn’t move, he felt pain in the shoulder she was holding with her enormous amounts of strength. Axel did not imdiately do anything, for a mont he closed his eyes and thought, this is exactly what he was trying to avoid, he shouldn’t have said those words like that, maybe he should just turn around and apologize, maybe he should just say that he was joking, he shouldn’t confront her, he shouldn’t, shouldn’t, should not….should……..ah sigh, nevermind.
His expression beca utterly serious as he put strength in his own body and turned around slightly, just enough to look at her eyes directly. He warned her, “Miss. Valkyrie, remove your hand from my shoulder.”
But the valkyrie responded chillingly, her eyes blazing in a greater scarlet hue, “Answer my question first, Axel Nomrad, what makes you think you can disrespect like that?”
The mont she said that, she put even more strength into her hands, the ground beneath Axel’s feet almost cracked from the sheer power generated by the summoned heroine of the Suncrest Great Kingdom, but Axel remained undeterred.
Axel truly beca angered at this mont, he said again exercising the last bit of his patience, his blue eyes glowed violently, and for a mont the golden runes flickered in his eyes, making his voice sound like a tyrannical command, “Please remove your hand from my shoulder, I’m sure you wouldn’t like to be touched by a man?”
Sophia frowned at that statent as her serious expression finally cracked, she loosened the grip of her hand, and gently removed it from his shoulder, she would indeed dislike it very much to be touched by another man, even if the man did not have any lustful intentions in him, she looked at him this ti in confusion, why did it feel like it was sothing he knew all along and…..almost as if, he was considerate of her and as such did not remove her hand forcefully, knowing that she would be disgusted by the touch of a man.
Axel’s angered expression also eased sowhat as he turned towards her completely, then he stated towards her apologetically, “I apologize, Miss Valkyrie, but I ant no disrespect by my words. I hope you don’t take it to heart.”
The Valkyrie’s face returned to being completely stoic, and Axel’s face also beca expressionless as the atmosphere beca tense and heavy. The valkyrie said to him in a displeased undertone, “Regardless, you have no right to talk to like that; you aren’t worthy.”
Axel nodded, brushing down his silent rage, “You’re right, miss Valkyrie, I apologize.”
Sophia looked at him intently for a mont, and while he did apologize, she could see that there was no hint of apology in the man’s eyes. She finally asked, unable to understand, the reasonings of the man, “Axel Nomrad, why? Why do you feel apprehensive about ? Are you scared of ?”
Axel sighed, his eyes closed as he put a hand on his face, she really, really had to ask that, didn’t she? And put the words like that as well? he let out an amusing dark smile, “No, miss valkyrie I am not scared of you, but I could tell from the very first glance, what kind person you are, and you’re a murderer miss valkyrie, I can’t imagine just how many lives you had to slaughter to have that kind of predatory gaze in your eyes, and that bloodlust, just how many innocent people did you kill?”
“You’re a disgusting psychopath wearing the skin of a human beauty, you’re inhumane, and you know it as well.” Axel revealed to her with no holding back.
For a mont, the expression on the Valkyrie’s face remained, Axel could tell no emotion from her face this ti, until….for the first ti, the ever so stoic and icy expression of her cracked completely, her thin and cherry like lips stretched, her teeth showed as she let out a dark and almost unhinged laughter. The darkness in the surrounding trembled and beca heavier as she laughed.
She said to him in mockery, “How naive, how soft, and how pathetic you are, Axel Nomrad. Well, I am indeed what you describe as, but so what if I am?”
“No one in this world is a saint, Axel Nomrad, least of all you. You’re even worse than I am. At least, I am not a hypocrite who pretends to be kind or normal, just to mix in. Unlike you, I don’t hide the true nature in my eyes. I accepted it, I confronted it, I embraced it, I know who I am, Axel.”
“But do you?” she added in pure disdain.
Axel looked at her in rage, “What the hell are you talking about?”
She smiled at that statent, she leaned in closer and placed a hand on his cheek, and she stared deep into his ocean blue eyes. Axel also stared back, deep inside her blazing scarlet eyes, she whispered in his ears like a malevolent devil, “You know in your heart what you are, Axel, you’re just like , people see the calm and unending ocean in you, a symbol of peace of tranquility, in those eyes of yours.”
“But they don’t know that it is the ocean in its depth that hides the greatest horrors, when a storm rages, it’s the ocean that becos the most violent one, causing the greatest destruction and terror. And you know it, you’re true nature is not that of peace.”
“But of chaos and conquest,” she declared to him triumphantly.
Her sinister whispers continued enchantingly, “You’re but a violent madman trying to suppress his true nature in a coat of false kindness.”
Axel reeled back in shock and a trace of terror, as well as panic, that seeped into his being, which every manipulative word whispered by the enchantress.
