Axel’s smiling face vanished as he saw the partially transford dragon prince rush towards him madly. He released every single ounce of his killing intent, thinking about all the negative events that happened to him, as well as all the determination he could muster, amplifying his bloodlust through burning his obsession.
A black colored rune pattern appeared on top of his red demonic eyes, taking on a shape completely different from the usual runic eyes. His black horns curved slightly forward ever so subtly, almost impossible to notice. A rune sword appeared in his hand, three symbols of the sa pseudo-rune of lightning etched onto the sword.
At first, the runes were blue, but when they were coated with a massive amount of demonic energy, another layer of his sinister killing intent was added to the coating on the rune sword. Axel could feel his runic swordsman skill activating, and the mont he began powering the sword with both his 2nd-phase demonic energy and killing intent. A surge of terrifying power burst forth from the sword.
Subtle cracks spread all over it. Violent arcs of massive red lightning radiated from the sword, destroying the surroundings even more. Axel also coated himself with the demonic energy and his killing intent, reinforcing his body. Then, instead of channeling that violent red lightning outward, he started to circulate it within himself.
Another burst of power was acquired. Three violent energies, each fundantally different from one another, started clashing and amplifying each other greatly, rampaging through his insides. In fact, it was too much for him to bear. He was only a partial demon, not strong enough to handle such devastating powers, making a wreck of his insides. But that was fine as well, too much is exactly what he needed at the mont. To overpower the protagonist of this world. And that feat itself... how could it be so simple?
Bzzzzttt–KRKHHHH–ZRAKKK!
Violent charges of red lightning spread outward from his body, destructive lightning cackled throughout more than 100 ters around him, and the air itself growled from the thunderstorm the demon was causing. Dark clouds gathered above his head. Axel could see that Lucien had already closed half of the distance between them; he was running faster and faster. Determined to kill him.
Axel’s mutated runic eyes shimred darkly, and as the world slowed down, he analyzed all the energies causing endless destruction in the surroundings. As well as the energy and attacks of the dragon prince. The rune eyes autonomously showed him multiple paths and attack thods he could use and determined the process for starting their second clash.
Axel dashed forward, his power and speed amplified by the three potent forms of energy, surpassing his previous levels by a significant margin. With a mighty push of his foot on the ground, his figure leapt high into the sky.
Pulling his sword upwards, grabbing it with both hands, Axel concentrated all the red arcs of lightning he could generate into the sword. His entire figure beca illuminated in a reddish flash high in the sky. Lucien, from beneath, again gathered all of his dragon aura into his throat, but this ti, he used his control of the gold elent and infused a heavy amount of it inside the dragon breath in a thod different than before.
The prince let out a resounding draconic cry, but this ti, fire did not co out of his mouth; what ca out of his mouth was a golden ray of light fired like a massive laser beam. And its threatening power was no joke.
VRRUUOOOSHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Axel, with a demonic growl, shook the skies and slashed downwards vertically. All the red lightning created from the demonic energy and bloodlust covering Axel’s figure shot out at impossible speeds, destroying the very particles of the air, turning everything it touched to a plasmic state.
Axel roared, "Berserker sword art — First Form, Demonic Lightning."
The instant the golden ray of purifying divine light of the Gold Dragon t with the Demonic crimson lightning charged with the destructive might of the Vile Demon. Everything went white as the two opposing energies collided. The world itself held its breath.
Axel had already braced himself for the calamitous shockwave that would follow. And it turned out to be far more powerful than he could have ever imagined. He had closed his eyes as the world turned colorless, and he could see nothing. Putting up all of his defenses, even holding the red lightning sword in front of him.
Finally, when the outco of the crimson bolt eting with the golden beam of light hit him -
KRZZZZAAATTHHHHOOOOOMMMM!!!
Crimson thunder scread through the heavens, clawing at the brilliance of the golden ray. Their clash erupted into a storm of divine and profane power, molten gold spiraling against blood-red arcs that split the sky. The shockwave shattered clouds, the ground buckled, and light itself seed to fracture into shards of lingering demonic energy.

After an unknown amount of ti, Axel’s eyes snapped open. He breathed in loudly, but then coughed up violently. The air itself had beco tainted by the ashes left by the apocalyptic detonation of the most potent attack launched by Axel and Lucien.
With a strong will of effort, he got up, unbearable pain running through his entire body. He huffed in and out through his mouth, the ashes got stuck in his mouth, and so amount of oxygen reached his lungs. He looked at himself. His entire body was bloody. Thankfully, he was still in the partial demon transformation.
But that insane healing of his had slowed down to a snail’s crawl, since he was almost out of all energy reserves. Even so, he burned through his obsession to temporarily speed up the healing process. As for the heavy stash of healing potions he had, that wouldn’t work, not as long as he was in this transformation.
Axel surveyed his surroundings; even he could not help but wear an expression of incredulity at the sight that t his gaze. It looked like lava was flowing through the grounds of the forest; not a single tree, creature, or anything was intact for as far as he could see. Everything had been flattened and burned to ashes.
Limping with his injured and bloody body, he walked forward slowly at first, then eventually picked up the speed and started running, running more than 150 ters. He finally saw the horribly injured, reversioned prince Lucien. His dragon transformation had co undone.
Axel took a mont to study the prince carefully, and yes, he was indeed very severely injured, unconscious. Axel had won. He had decided to put all of his power into that attack. The crimson lightning had overco the golden ray of light. But too many factors played into that; the biggest was that Lucien could not remain in the dragon form for too long.
The partial dragon transformation took a much greater toll on the body of the prince than the partial demon transformation of Axel. The reason behind it was the demonic integration plant, though Axel did not manage to eat it directly; instead, he had to consu Ivor’s heart. The miracle plant still did its job very well, nonetheless. It seamlessly integrated his existence into the demon bloodline, as if he were born into it rather than converted.
Then he bent down, took the ring from Lucien’s hand, broke the slight restriction placed on it, sothing relatively easy for him as a runecaster, looked into the space inside, and took out the Necklace he had made for Lumina. He also took all the high-level potions and forging materials, as well as any other pricey stuff the imperial prince had. Having no sha whatsoever. The prince could refill his stash from the royal money whenever he wanted. But Axel had to earn every single di himself.
