The will of the gold dragon surmised that this halfling demon clearly didn’t know of the proper details, but he knows more than enough to be considered an anomaly in his eyes in every way possible.
Walking closer to Axel, the threatening glare of his remaining, "And how do you intend to prove that? And what’s the catch, demon? What do you wish for?"
"Through a proper contract, of course," stated Axel, "As for what I want in exchange for sharing that information, there are primarily two things. First, Lucien must remain in the dark about all of this. Two, I hope we can be allies for the future."
Gilderon stopped in his tracks, his murderous look vanishing as he thought to himself, Forming a contract with a demon is never a good idea, but as long as there are no loopholes in it, and you’re careful enough. The demons always keep their end of the bargain in their own twisted way. Since it’s a contract, both parties will naturally impose all of their conditions, whether minor or significant.
For example, the proof from Pri that Axel is indeed not connected with any of the kings or the Emperor. Then, if the shared location of the crown is not valid, Axel would have to face the backlash and other details, along with counterasures from both parties, to ensure the other party keeps their end of the bargain.
Gilderon knew better than just to be arrogant blindly; dragons of the past have dearly paid for the mistake of underestimating the demons because of their superior strength, but the difference in individual power did not stop the demons from overthrowing the dragons as the strongest race. They used their cunning nature to achieve that impossible feat. So, even against such a weak demon, it was better to be cautious than regret it later.
But that was beside the point. The keyword that the demon used here was ’allies for the future’. In the body of the prince, Gilderon put one hand on his chin, thinking deeply. From the very start of the fight between Lucien and the demon, it was clear that, unlike Lucien, Axel did not wish to kill him, though he had indeed fought with all his might.
More than that, Axel Nomrad had shown the true power of his demon bloodline, capable of individually keeping up with the golden dragon’s might on the sa stage of power. Then it clicked on Gilderon’s head, ’Ho, so that was just a show which the demon put on. Showing his usefulness as a future ally worth having, with that much potential, he could indeed be considered a valuable piece.’
Gilderon asked with a chuckle, "So, in the end, you’re goal is the sa as any demon. To sit on the throne of the strongest."
Axel nodded with a smirk, "Of course, did you expect to wish to beco a preacher of peace, turning good from evil, and so bullshit??"
Gilderon shook his head in amusent and laughed self-depricatingly, "Now that would be a real nightmare."
The Remnant will sighed, all of their conversation essentially translated into one sentence, as both of their final enemy were that one invincible existence; they both needed each other. When the ti ca to fight that existence, the only strongest being in the continent who dared to call himself the Emperor, they would be allies.
The worst part? Except for the Elder Dragons, pretty much the whole continent thought that the Emperor was dead. But only if the continent knew that the truth of that battle between the Emperor and the Elder dragons was sothing that no one could have ever imagined, not even in their wildest dreams.
Gilderon shook his head and erased all those unnecessary thoughts as he stated, "Now, shall we be done with the contract? Considering the mayhem going on the other side of the island, I presu you’re short on ti?"
Axel nodded as he asked, "Yes, and I assu you will not be helping?"
Gilderon affird that statent with his own, "That wretched Ghost King Jack is directly connected with every single strong or weak undead creature. The mont I enter the zone of Death Energy, I will be detected by his senses as a remnant of a quasi-7th phase being. And that crazy bastard could do anything at any given mont."
With that out of the way, they openly discussed and laid out the conditions, keeping Pri as a witness. There was so back and forth between the two, but within five minutes, they finished writing the contract. Axel had gained a powerful ally for the future, and Gilderon was the one who Axel needed as an ally, not Lucien.
As they finalized the contract, a tether of strings and symbols was attached to both of their existences by pri nexus, and even Lucien was partly included in certain conditions. However, he would not know about any of these events.

Axel bid farewell to the remnant will of Gilderon and rushed out of the newly created beast forest. But he did not run towards the direction of the other side of the island where the fight was taking place. Instead, he turned right and headed towards the forging facility close to the gateway of the beast forest.
There, he tore open a specific chamber. Inside was a white room, where a person of similar age to his own lay on the floor with a hollow expression, wearing white clothes and an energy-blocking collar around his neck. Well, anyone is bound to go mad being locked up in a completely white room like this, with pretty much nothing to do for months and months, quite a fitting punishnt for the damn bastard.
The lifeless eyes of the person turned slightly towards him, who had broken through the walls of the prison room. The mont the person’s lifeless eyes landed on the cold, shimring, runic eyes of Axel, his eyes widened to the extre, and he jumped backward in fear.
The corner of Axel’s mouth curved up slightly as he stated nonchalantly, almost like greeting a long-lost friend, "What’s up, Taser Vex?"

{Side Note - Only the 7th phase Demon Emperor is usually referred to and is addressed by the title of Emperor. No other empire’s supre leader can call themselves by the title of the Emperor because only a 7th-phase being can be called by that word.}

The undead denizens of the ghost empire can get away with calling their king by the emperor title. And they do it out of overwhelming reverence for the king of their nation, whom they almost obey to the absolute, akin to a supre and untouchable existence.}
