Smiling like a devil who had just descended from the very depths of hell, Sophia looked at the notification she had just received from Pri Nexus, without even needing to confirm it consciously. Pri started the breakthrough process imdiately; a massive force of mana began to gather towards her, like iron dust being sucked by a powerful magnet.

Within her soul sanctum, on top of both the primary and secondary aspect chambers, new floors started to form, as both of her aspects were advancing simultaneously and creating two new nexus cores on both of those new floors of the aspect chambers.

Her power increased trendously; her existence itself began to transcend into sothing more. So much power radiated from her that the knight could not help but stare at her figure in disbelief. And before he could attempt to pull away the sword and try to cut off her head. Eryndor was forced backward by the shockwave of the concentrated mana of her breakthrough.

Sophia then muttered, "Half-Life Shift."

Half-life in radioactive topics usually refers to the ti it takes for an unstable isotope to reach stability. This could be used in two ways by her, as a debuff on your enemy. If she marked the fully reserved energy pool of an enemy as peak radioactive montum, then that power would slowly fade or beco increasingly chaotic until the enemy had no energy left to use, thereby regaining stability.

That would work almost like a curse.

However, in reverse, what she was doing now was marking her injured condition as the peak unstable radioactive mont, so that it would need to disappear entirely for her to regain complete stability. In essence, it controls the flow of Entropy within oneself to a certain extent.

But the greater the difference between the stable and unstable states is, the greater the cost of the spell is. For example, she was inches away from death; even if she did break through, if she had perford the half-life shift to heal herself completely, she wouldn’t have had much energy left afterward to fight the death knight. Conversely, if she perford that spell on the death knight, the undead would run out of usable energy through that curse.

Even if she used the entire pool of mana, it would hardly be enough for the deed to be done, for the difference in their phase of power. But as she was now breaking through to the next phase. For a short mont, when the energy of the world connects to her, in that small instant, her mana pool might as well be infinite. So, she used that opportunity to heal herself fully.

As for the spell that actually did that minor damage to Eryndor, it was sothing that converged all the injected small radioactive power that he had accumulated inside of him, from the constant castings from Sophia. Concentrating all that radioactive power in a small ballpoint on the open skull of the knight caused a small crack to form. And a damage was a damage, no matter how small it was, or in which manner it was done.

The massive sword piercing her body was automatically thrown off from her, from the sheer force of power that her breakthrough was producing. Her colossal power pressed forward against the death energy of Eryndor, almost managing to contend against it.

Sophia’s eyes beca sharper, more threatening; she beca even more beautiful, as all the blood and injuries vanished, and the blood sticking to her body evaporated. Using her all-encompassing darkness, she rebuilt the torn parts of her dress.

By the few seconds that had passed since Eryndor had stabbed through the chest of a valkyrie, Gareth had almost reached the place where the knight was standing. He had run at such speed that it was sothing akin to a missile launched from a fighter jet.

He had lost his mind completely. The mont Sophia was stabbed, Gareth had converted 80% of his life force at once. The burning fire beca so hot that the air particles that ca into contact with it were exploding constantly.

His figure beca so bright that it even hurt the knight to look at him directly. Eryndor did not have the sword in his hand, nor did he have the required ti to retrieve it. He had heard one final scream from the Elental Warrior charging at him, like a fire-lit bull, "Starfire Canon."

Eryndor saw as the warrior made the motion of piercing with his giant sword, a compressed form of fire energy shot out, promising the destruction of anything that blocked it. Sophia had already moved away from the path of that attack long before, as she knew all along that it was about to happen.

Letting out a ghostly roar of his own, he mobilized every ounce of his Death Energy to block that attack that might actually incinerate him to dust if not taken seriously, and so he did, the straight path in which the canon of fire was shot, following that line every molecule of air was turned plasmic and then broken into individual particles that the very atoms consisted of.

In a controlled manner, it was sothing akin to a fission reaction; the sheer power from that attack was so mighty that it instantly destroyed the Energy shield conjured by the death energy. Eryndor’s body was shot back more than half a kiloter as the power of scorching fla hit him directly, overpowering the blue undead fla severely for the first ti.

Then, a catastrophic explosion followed, shaking the entirety of the island to its core.

Vrooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!

It looked nothing less than pure devastation, as if a small-scale nuclear bomb had been fired, on the very edge of the island, a humongous cloud of smoke rose towards the sky. But thankfully, no radiation-type corrosive energy spread from that point of explosion; it was a heat-based, pure destruction.

For more than a few hundred ters, the ground was turned into lava. Like a dormant volcano had just erupted there.

Using that opportunity, Sophia muttered again, "Switch aspect."

Now that she had advanced to the 2nd phase, she had sowhat enough stats to stand her ground against the death knight, and the saint aspect allowed her to have far superior stats than the arcanist aspect. Although the radiation magic was an invaluable utility, it was only proper in the role of a supporter.

Not to ntion, Sophia wasn’t good enough at the Arcane Radiation Magic yet. So, it was a power far from its potential. But the Saint aspect was her ace in the hole. On equal power, no one could ever match her in combat. She had absolute confidence in that territory.

The mont she switched her aspect to Saint, her power flared even more violently, as her presence grew even sharper. More deadly, like a sharp sword that had just been unsheathed.

Her feet landed on the ground as her breakthrough was finally over. She slowly walked forward, each of her minute postures radiating overwhelming power, as she gained greater control over mana. The world itself obeyed her subtle actions.

As she slowly neared the entirely charred, burnt body of Forger Gareth, who used his very last ounce of power, literally giving up his very life, to deal the previous monuntal damage he could do from his end. He truly was an honorable warrior.

It was one thing to be resolved to give up your life, since everyone here could die at any given mont. But to continuously burn your very life force, your skin and body, every part of it. Then remain conscious and in control, despite that, to focus entirely on the fight.

Very few had that level of determination, even amongst such strong powerhouses. A resolution of such caliber is genuinely worthy of respect. Sophia stood there in silence for a mont. From what she could see, he was unconscious and barely hanging on in a state between life and death.

A barely flickering candlelight is trying to survive in the midst of the wind tornado. The fla couldn’t continue burning.

With a sigh, as a last show of respect, she brought another one of her golden vials of the potions and poured it into his unrecognizable mouth; even the insides of his mouth seed to have burned like charcoal. Even though it probably won’t have any effect. In fact, it might have been better to give him a swift death and to end his pain.

Yet, she gave him the potion anyway; even in death, the destiny of a warrior is always to fight on. To resist the call of eternal rest, which wants to pin us down forever.

Suddenly, she felt a few other presences that ca within his range of detection, and she turned towards the figures. Seeing the familiar figures, she raised an eyebrow. It was Heinz, Enrick, Thorian, and Jaden. They were rushing in this direction at full speed. There was a sense of urgency written all over their face.

Sophia furrowed her eyebrows, having a bad feeling; they weren’t running away from sothing, were they? She doubted that if that was so, why wasn’t Axel with them? Especially, since she couldn’t see the army of students where they were supposed to be. Not a single one of them was there as if they had all vanished. There was also no trace of any of the undead.

Only those four were running towards her.

All sorts of worse possibilities started to surface in her mind unconsciously as she clenched her fists, but thankfully, her worries were unfounded.

The mont they reached near Sophia, all four of them felt a boundless, suffocating pressure imposed upon them, undeniable in its power. Heinz imdiately understood what the murderous valkyrie was worried about, as he stated hurriedly, "Axel asked us to retrieve Gareth. Since he is out of the fight, though he is fine, of course, and about 500 of the students survived, as the army of the dead was wiped out for the last ti, though most of them had been eliminated by Axel himself."

"Sophia constructed a sword made of her all-encompassing darkness, pointing in the direction from which they had co. "Why can’t I see anything if there are still 500 students remaining?"

Her voice was cold like a reaper holding a scythe at all of their neck. They could all literally feel it in their bones and instincts; she wouldn’t hesitate to kill them right then and there if they dared to tell a single lie and if she thought in the slightest that Axel was in any form of danger.

It was more than clear to everyone by now how unhealthily possessive she was towards Axel Nomrad.

But more than that, they were stunned by her statent as they looked backward; there was not a single trace of the 500 students or Axel anywhere in that whole area. Only the pure devastation was left there, the aftermath of the long-fought battle against the forces of the undead.
