Mirage of countless demonic fists beca visible in the skies as Axel fell; all his clenched fists burned in dark, ashen-colored flas. While the demonic pupils of Axel flashed in ruthless delight.

The Guard Leader, a mid-4th-phase being, was the first to react, shouting in fear as he felt an impending danger: "Deploy all defensive artifacts."

His voice was hoarse and anxious, but the mont he started warning his fellow Guard division mbers, Axel’s demonic killing intent pressed down on him like a dark mountain. Previously, Axel had released his killing intent over a vast area. So, this powerhouse could not feel the true threatening might of his killing intent.

But now, as Axel had focused his bloodlust on a single individual, even soone as powerful as him was stunned. Subconsciously, the Guard leader thought, ’Just how many people did this... Monster kill? How can anyone possess such deep killing intent? HOW????’

While his fellow Guards had already deployed all of their Defensive rune artifacts, the Guard Leader was not able to do the sa. So, if this monster attacked him alone with all of his might, he might beco severely injured. Or those scary flas might cover his entire being.

However, that did not happen. Instead, Axel went for the weakest mber of the Guard division. Focusing all of his probability fists upon a single individual. Black flaming fists rained down like hellfire. Instantly shattering multiple defensive rune barriers erected in front of the individual.

And the mont those fiery fists t the body of that 4th phase being. Even though the power of the fists had been lessened significantly by the threefold barriers. Only his dark flas needed to latch onto the Guard.

In that mont of desperation and fear, the negative emotions within that man had reached an extre, unknowingly making the Ashen flas even more powerful. When those flas reached him, they began to burn along the outer edges of the Soul Sanctum, slowly trying to gush inside.

The sheer amount of pain that assaulted this powerhouse was purely inconceivable. Ashen flas covered his entire body.

A gut-wrenching, utterly maddening scream followed, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...."

"MAKE IT STOPPPPP...MAAKKEE IT STOOOPPPPP. PLEASE, PLEASE... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..." the powerhouse continued his pleas, a mighty 4th phase being was reduced to a worthless begging dog, right in front of everyone’s eyes.

Then there was the unhinged laughter of the Demon, which painted a surreal picture in everyone’s mind. A 4th phase powerhouse was screaming in agony on the feet of the laughing skull-masked demon.

Axel did not attack the rest imdiately, but let the terror in everyone’s hearts solidify even further. All those fearful emotions slowly began to transform into small but rich fragnts of despair. His flas grew even stronger; Axel’s two demonic hearts also absorbed the black, unseen smoke of Despair that overflowed from everyone.

It was a perpetual cycle, a loop that only reinforced the demon’s authority. And without knowing every detail of how the powers of a demon worked, it was nigh impossible to defeat them truly. The very reason Demons were the collective uncontested strongest race within the Eldarion continent for a valid reason, after all.

The Guard leader, in the very next monts, ca back to his senses and shouted his orders again. But the idea of Despair was already planted within him. The fear could be seen in the depth of his eyes. The Elders on the back shivered greatly.

They were always revered and respected by many influential figures and the masses, yet now they faced a monster with no reason. They were no fighters; they spent most of their lives inside the forging and rune-engraving facilities.

Though they were proficient in battle rune formations, and great support-type for close combat Seekers. But in a desperate life-or-death battle, they could not truly keep their calm.

More than that, they could already feel it, the many artifacts they had on them. For so reason, they were starting to jam down. Axel, just like how he had neutralized most of the rune artifacts of the third-phase Guards division. He was now doing the sa.

But these 4th phase beings had rune artifacts of much higher quality. So, it took much more effort and ti. And unless one possessed an exceptionally keen sense or so spiritual control, it was close to impossible to perceive and block his Demonic Energy from clogging the energy nodes of the rune tools.

It was not impossible to counter, but it was very difficult and would require soone with a specialized skill set.

Axel let out his demonic roar once more, this ti towards the four remaining guards. As they were now in a much more ntally vulnerable state, the effect of the demonic roar was proportionally prevalent. Following the sa strategy as before, with a maniacal laughter, Axel targeted another 4th-phase guard.

Not going for the Guard Leader because he knew he would not be able to kill him or severely injure him in one go, but using montary restrictions on him was no problem. Of course, the five elders behind them fired multiple long-range attacks at once. But they were neither fast enough nor were their attacks taken seriously by Axel.

He let those attacks hit him, becoming more injured; this ti, he could not use the probability-manifesting attack again, as it takes too great a toll on one’s mind and drains energy reserves too quickly.

Slowly, the Ashen flas had spread to the four guards aside from the Guard Leader. They all continued to scream; one could only imagine the tornt and torture they were going through. The pain that was coming from their very souls.

And the longer one burned on the Ashen flas, their despair proportionally increased. More of their soul sanctums were burned, turned to ashes. The Soul Sanctum was the very representation of the seeker’s path, one’s progress of becoming a superior lifeform.

The very anchor through which one manipulates the world, the core that forces the world to change instead of allowing itself to change in the face of an obstacle.

So, in essence, what the Ashen flas were truly doing was regressing a seeker on their path to power. This undoing of one’s foundation to power was almost as painful as tearing one’s soul apart into countless pieces. Without a shred of doubt, this was one of the most broken abilities Axel had created through the tools available to him.

Slowly, only the Guard Leader remained amongst the main batch of the fighters. The others had already lost their minds in complete pain or had beco lifeless.

The guard division leader did not hesitate in the slightest to escape from the range of Axel’s attack. His expression was incomparably pale. He stood together with the Elders of the family. These older n were already shivering in fear.

They were monts away from running away. They called to Balen through ntal transmission to open the doors of the mansion and let them in. But Balen was not responding; they had been abandoned altogether. The guard leader also had the urge to run away.

In montary desperation, he had failed to see the critical clues; there was obviously a deeper reason behind why Axel had deliberately not attacked him again and again.
