Mason Vex reached the nearest city just under two minutes later and exerted his mighty pressure on the entire city. His eyes scanned the whole place as he landed on the city’s teleportation platform. Without needing any consent, using his rune control abilities, he jump-started the teleport gateway to the farthest teleportation point this gate could reach near the Valanir region.
But unfortunately, such a small city had only a teleport link to the next region’s major city, so he had no choice but to go there first. In this sa manner, he had to make multiple teleportation jumps one after another, as he had no ti to explain or bring any forces along.
Heck, he might even be punished by the king if he could not explain the proper reason behind abandoning his post, in such a crucial ti, as it left a significant hole in the defense of the entire kingdom. But he didn’t care about any of that; his whole family base might be under severe threat.
No, the worst may have already happened. As soon as he set foot inside the Valanir region, Mason flew through the skies carrying a calamitous rage in his heart. When he was about two kiloters away, he could see the silhouettes of a masked figure running towards a small preset teleportation gate.
He roared in rage as he saw everything around the Vex mansion in ruins, chanting a small incantation with a murderous visage. A spell on his runic matrix was activated instantly, and for an area of 10 kiloters, the whole sky darkened with black clouds; thunder began to crackle with destructive fury.
A cacophonous thunder strike descended from the skies, intending to incinerate the running figure. Mason saw the two people escape by a hair’s breadth. But how could he let them go so easily? He used another chant to activate a spatial inspection spell throughout all layers of space.
Intending to lock them down and bring them out into the material universe. However, he found himself to be fooled; they did not go through a preconstructed spatial tunnel, but rather, it was a chaotic teleport.
And if soone wasn’t traveling through a constructed space passage, it was not possible to stop them. Mason’s eyes flashed with such fury that he almost wanted to try sothing mutually destructive, sothing that might put the entire region in danger, in hopes of bringing out these rats that dared to destroy his family.
Even if they were from the other races, he didn’t give a damn; they were bound to die at his hands today. But before he could attempt such a thing...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
A horrifying explosion radiated outward from the Vex mansion right beside him. The blast was so powerful that even soone like him, high in the sky, was thrown back a few hundred ters, and scorching flas touched his skin, leaving minor burn marks.
Mason’s face turned pale as he witnessed the complete destruction of the proud family mansion. As he rushed into the sea of flas, which was almost like a nuclear explosion, he first saw only Ashes and fire. But then, he witnessed more, countless dead bodies of innurable proud seekers of his family lay dead.
3rd phase seekers numbering in hundreds and more, they were all dead. There were also a dozen 4th-phase seekers, who were mbers of the guard division and left-behind elders. All were dead.
But they were not rely dead; every one of them had their heads separated from their bodies, and the heads were not cut off, the heads were ripped out brutally. Rows and rows of ripped apart heads were lined on the ground ssily.
These heads were all ripped in the exact manner they had found the dead body of Talon.
And as he slowly approached the gate of his destroyed mansion closer and closer, he saw the most rattling scene that even shook this mighty 5th phase powerhouse to his absolute core. Two more heads were there, lay on the gates....
Their eyes left wide open, one was the Head of Balen Vex, but the other....
The other was the Head of his own kin, the boy who was supposed to have died in the academy massacre.
The Head of his dear son, TASER VEX....
The knees of this proud family figure buckled under this revelation. He was cold, he was ruthless, he had committed so many atrocities that the blood of the victims could fill an entire river. But he loved his one and only son, even though he never showed it.
That grief was only suppressed beneath the weight of countless responsibilities and implications. But those emotions all ca out like a tide as he clutched the last remnant of his only son. The bloody and severed Head of Taser, he held it in his bosom, and tears fell.
For a brief mont, he let his vulnerability as a lost father surface because no one could see him at that mont. His tears did not stop amid the raging fire, nor did the tears fall to the ground. The drops evaporated from the sheer heat.
After what felt like an eternity of silent mourning for this mighty runecaster, he finally stood up, put his son’s ripped Head into the space storage, then, with a spell, extinguished all the burning flas.
He wore an insidious, vengeful look in his eyes. Dashing towards the direction of the chaotic space tunnel through which those two insects had left. And it was none other than the Dusker region.
How could he not guess the involvent of the Nomrad family in this matter? There was a cruel determination in his eyes, for he had held himself back for a long ti from utterly demolishing that family and what was barely left of it. Even when Damien Nomrad’s grandson started to undermine their authority, he planned to deal with the boy slowly.
But this ti, they have truly poked a hornet’s nest. Mason was most definitely sure that even if the Nomrad was not directly responsible for this matter, they were related to it without a shadow of doubt; otherwise, who else within the Great kingdom would dare so viciously co for his Vex family and so daringly at that.
There was no need for any more mind gas; it was ti to end this farce. No matter what the consequences were to be, he didn’t care. There was only the light of vengeance in his dark pupils.
Taking the main teleportation gateway of the Valanir region, he directly set foot onto the Dusker region, but he purposefully did not land in the central city. Instead, he landed on a remote location at a distance. He would arrive at the Nomrad mansion unannounced.
Even if they surrendered and spoke the truth, they would die.
Even if they lied, they would die.
No matter what they did,
Even if they were innocent, the Nomrad family would end today once and for all.
Their existence would be utterly obliterated from the annals of History.
