Capítulo 475: Brother of Swords [1]

Axel ran. The mont he exited the central area of the capital, he ran like a madman, with no regard for what was ahead. Or if anyone noticed him. His mind was in shambles, his heart an empty chaos. Her saving him like that, seemingly for no reason, made him feel even worse.

It was not sothing he could control; his very identity was based on the obsession he felt towards her. The Despair encroaching on him wasn’t the worst part. But he himself felt an existential crisis when standing right in front of her, without that intense, obsessive feeling for her.

His figure, like a juggernaut with no defense, smashed through the trees, the large boulders, animals, beasts, any wildlife, or even stronger creatures. All of it was destroyed in his path. It was only when he stood in front of a barren, giant mountain terrain with no visible path forward that he stopped.

Just to let his anger out, he punched the mountain wall.

Bang!!!

A shallow tremor ran through the massive structure. A visible fist dent appeared where he punched, so Axel punched again, this ti using his mana and runic circuits to boost his physical prowess. For a small mont, even his runic eyes flickered.

He was not wearing a single rune artifact, which could further boost his strength or any specific attribute. His punches did not contain any precision, any tactic or coordination, simply a rush of raw fury, at himself.

For a mont, he wanted to transform into a demon and shatter this entire thing. But in the end, he did not, as he knew that he would truly lose his mind if he did transform when on this broken ntal state.

He continued to punch….the mountain wall….

BANG!!!

Again….

And again….and again…

The tremor running through that mountain continued to grow steadily stronger. The section he was punching had already cracked, and the crack was spreading all over the structure. But Axel’s own state was far worse.

Without the demon transformation, his physical constitution and self-healing capacity weren’t nearly strong enough for him to treat his own body in such a manner. The bones on both of his knuckles had all shattered.

Both of his hands were bloodied to the extre, and even his own mind was fighting against the continuous pain delivered to his nervous system, begging him to stop. His demon hearts roared like an engine, trying to heal his hands, but he was injuring them too fast and badly for it to be able to keep up the healing.

It was only becoming worse and worse. Eventually, he gave in to the roaring pain, dropping to his knees, droplets of tears fell from his eyes, as he grit his teeth, like a wounded beast, he scread to the heavens.

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

Suddenly, his scattered senses picked up a distinct energy signature. Soone that he knew very well. Axel growled like a bloodlusted beast, “Heinz, I’m not in the mood, fuck off right now.”

Heinz revealed himself, appearing exactly a few ters behind Axel. He did not respond, first observing the ruin of the mountain closely, the place Axel was punching was sared in an unhealthy amount of blood. Sowhat impressed by the feat.

Heinz said without a care, “Does it look like I give a damn about whether you’re in the mood or not?”

Axel did not take well to his arrogant tone, not right now, a sliver of his bloodlust radiated outward, he stated again, in a heavy and serious tone, “I will not repeat myself, Heinz, I don’t know what I might do. LEAVE RIGHT THIS INSTANT….”

Heinz felt the potency of the bloodlust but did not flinch; the amount of ti he had brushed shoulders with death even before awakening as a Seeker was too many to count. He wasn’t afraid of Axel in the slightest. No matter how deep his killing intent may be.

He let out a laugh, filled with mockery, “You know I find it all so fucking funny. I don’t know what you’re going through, but all I see is a shitty, self-pitying, whimpering bastard. Who can’t do anything but cry at their own situation instead of actually doing sothing worthwhile about it.”

Then an absolute silence descended on that mountain range; the silence was so oppressive that it almost had weight on the spirit of the living that existed there. Even from the other mountains, countless birds flew away in fear, their instincts warning them of an invisible, unfathomable danger lurking in the open.

Even Heinz felt a sense of danger radiating from Axel Nomrad. But with a force of will, he brushed off that sensation. He thought in amusent, ‘So, this is why Vyra told to keep a proper distance and only observe. It seems this guy is indeed dangerous. Incredibly strong. Not so random runecaster.’

Axel stood up, his blue eyes glaring at Heinz, containing a trace of true hatred. For the first ti, he almost had the urge to kill his once-best friend truly.

While Heinz remained unbothered, he rely shook his head, “See? You can’t even accept the truth even when soone spits it right in your face. You’re in denial…. more than you yourself realize it so.”

Axel was on the verge of breaking point, his voice almost turned inhumane, “You really think I won’t kill you right here and now? You fucker?”

Heinz chuckled, indifferent to the threat; he even took a step forward, as Axel was spewing intolerable rage, “You can try…”

Axel clenched his jaws until they began to bleed. It took every shred of his willpower not to attack with all of his might, turning the warlord aspect holder into a freakin at paste.

Heinz continued with a heavy sigh, “I get it, I know very well that it doesn’t feel right to be told by so nobody that your suffering doesn’t matter in the grand sche of things. Soone told that very thing to when I was at my lowest. And it took a long… long ti to understand or even accept those words.”

Then he added in a solemn tone, “Smashing that mountain won’t make you feel good, hurting yourself won’t make you feel good. Pitying yourself won’t make you feel good.”

“Drowning yourself in despair won’t make you feel good. In reality, it will only be a reflection of the disappointnt you have beco in contrast with your goals and expectations.”

“But if you’re not truly a disappointnt to yourself….”

Heinz brought out a mundane, worthless-looking sword from his storage space, throwing it on the ground, “Then show , Axel Nomrad, that you’re more than just a fucking sniveling pussy.”
