Capítulo 489: See my sins… [1]

The creature, in the guise of Axel, closed his eyes and spread his arms, reveling in being able to live again as a human and more. The power of a 2nd phase seeker, especially soone as strong as Axel, and most of the mories he carried. Flowed through his mind and bone, having the warm human blood circulate in his veins, felt wondrous.

The creature laughed like a maniac. This ti, it did not need to touch the original a second ti to generate a consciousness, since it had already developed a permanent one. So, generating a copy of another being’s consciousness would be like opening the door just to call in a poison snake.

Axel watched the imitator with a bit of apprehension, almost unnerved even when trying to stay calm. It couldn’t be helped, really, if you think about it deeply.

Imagine a freakin alien tal sli turning into your absolute perfect doppelganger in every sense of the way, then trying to kill you, so that it could truly cent its position as the true placeholder of the original, literally becoming you.

Yet, the biggest catch here was that the imitator did not know how seekers in this world worked on a fundantal basis, the dual aspect chanism. Depending on the two aspects, one Seeker could almost be two different, polar opposite existences molded into one.

Or one core being divided into two.

So, the creature had no idea of his demon bloodline, his chaosblood aspect. Axel doubted whether even this perfect imitator could truly replicate his unique demon bloodline, which controlled the mutated sin attributes.

Axel corrected himself, according to pri, it should be ‘The Seven Eternal Sins’, attributes that were very, very much alienated than the ‘Seven original Sins’.

Axel controlled the demonic energy concentrated in his demon blood flowing through his veins. He internally channeled so of it to his hand that was nearly rotten by the poison toxins; eventually, the corrosive substances that were harming his cells were destroyed in just a few seconds. He was as good as new.

The doppelganger finally opened his eyes, and looking at him, the alien imitator stated almost in a grateful tone, in the sa voice as his own, “Thank you. Axel Nomrad. I almost wish that I did not have to kill you. But this is not sothing I can control. I have to kill you, to beco you, to replace you truly. Please forgive ….”

Axel chuckled, hearing that. He held his healed hand forward, gesturing with his fingers, almost in a provocative manner, “It’s fine, because you won’t be able to….”

No more words were needed, as the two parties dashed towards each other. Axel did not bring out any sword or any rune tools, though that would make the fight easier for him. It would ultimately defeat its purpose.

Axel did not simply need to defeat the doppelganger, but he needed to crush the will of the creature, break his spirit, in a manner that it would have no choice but to serve him. He had to show the creature what it ans to be Axel Nomrad, fair and square, without using any cheats. Or his overpowered abilities, like the sin-based abilities.

The force of their steps kicked up a flare of the red sands. Leaving their deep footprints, even causing a few of the dunes to break from the force exerted by their feet. Eventually, their fists directly t in a frontal clash.

The runic eyes of both parties deed this the optimal attack. Besides, Axel actually wanted a proper brawl. Sword fights were good and all. But there was sothing about a good hand-to-hand combat that could not be put aside by anything else.

A rain of an unending barrage of fists ca towards both Axel and his doppelganger.

BANG!!

BANG!!

BANG!!

BANG!!

Whosh!!!

The imitator continued to lunge at the original brutally, each of his powerful blows kicking up an explosion of red sands. With a beastly growl, he accessed all the techniques and fighting thods Axel Nomrad knew of, channeling them all outward towards the original.

But the man remained relaxed, almost at ease, despite the fight seeming brutal; they were not on equal footing. The creature poured more power into the runic eyes, trying to see through, but the sa stalemate remained, an almost bored look on the face of the original.

The imitator’s mind spun faster and faster, doing everything small and big possible available in its arsenal. But the result was the sa. It was only then that he realized that sothing was wrong; it almost felt like his opponent was used to fighting a version of ‘himself’? But how could that be possible?

The doppelganger could not wrap its head around that thought, so the creature used its last resort. The imitator could retain the abilities of those beings it had transford in the past.

Veins of purple venom started to wriggle around both of his arms. The imitator used that venomous power, shaping it into a crude spear and hurling it towards Axel with every ounce of its strength.

Axel narrowed his eyes. There was a strange power contained within that spear strike. If he let that thing hit him, it could be troubleso, not that he would let that happen in the first place.

Axel relaxed his stance, letting go of all of his vigilance and worries, focusing only on the present mont. His golden runic eyes dimd, and a strange calming pulse ran through his whole body. His blue eyes, like a true ocean, started to churn. Waves crashing to the shore.

His hands moved as smoothly as a gently flowing river, creating a swirl of the worldly mana that drew in the spear; he also rotated his own body slightly—deflecting the spear without actually touching it physically.

This ti, he did not show rcy to the doppelganger because no one faced a version of himself in fights as often as he did. So, how could he not know the counter to every possible move he could make?

Grabbing the wrist of the imitator…

CRACK!!

“ARGHHHH, Noooo……”

Axel broke his right hand, then his leg, followed by a brutal kick to the face, which broke his nose. Though beating up his own handso face and making it into such a bloody thing was a bit uncomfortable for him. But it had to be done.

Axel said to the imitator in a solemn tone, “Don’t be so pathetic and sully my na, look inside, deeper into my mories, my knowledge, my purpose, my will.”

“The purpose and the burden I carry. Glimpse into my desires and my sins. Only then will you see what I truly am, not this shallow shell of a re human runecaster that you are inhabiting right now.”
