70: The Gift 70: The Gift Axel’s friends looked at him with reverent expressions, as if a supre being had descended into the mortal world.

Axel was sitting in his personal room within the walls of the colosseum; perhaps his own brother was looking at him with more reverence than anyone.

While the librarian’s eyes looked hollow, this ti, it seems the old man has truly lost his soul.

Emma gulped down as she said, “Are you even a human?” Jason jabbed at her, “Maybe you should ease your gaze a little.

You look like you’re about to eat the guy alive.” Emma blushed and glared at Jason, but the latter ignored her angry gaze, Wang interjected looking at Akon, “Let guess, more of your female friends said how handso your brother is?” Akon asked, bewildered, “Eh?

Brother Wang how did you know?” But everyone glared at him, which prompted him to cough slightly.

Ezekiel intoned in a dry voice, “And how much should we expect to be surprised today?” All of their faces turned pale as they looked at Axel, hoping for an answer, but also not hoping for an answer.

Even the soulless librarian seems to have regained a bit of his sanity, while Akon’s eyes shone even brighter.

Axel opened his mouth to say sothing but no words ca out of his mouth.

then with a lot of effort, he spoke the words, “I think you should expect the worst.” Emma despaired, “Oh lord.” Ezekiel, “Yes, lord.” Jason muttered, “The grim reaper is here.” Osborn, “I can already sense the grave danger in the air.” Wang muttered, “I am the danger.” Everyone looked at Wang questioningly, anwhile drops of sweat trickled down from Axel’s forehead as he looked at Wang with wide open eyes, he was terrified internally, ‘You’re kidding , was this fucker secretly a transmigrator all along?’ ‘How does this guy know Walter White’s famous line?’ Wang notices everyone’s strange stares said, “Oh…Um…sorry, I ant, I am already in danger.” Axel squinted his eyes at Wang despite everyone looking away, he continued to be suspicious, but breathed a sigh of relief sensing nothing amiss, but he still made a ntal note to keep an eye on the guy, better be safe than sorry.

Little did Axel know his paranoia was for naught, the shitty author just wanted to make a joke out of him.

Poor guy is continuously being tortured by the sadistic Author.

Then, shaking his head, he thought about what happened after the competition, in the night.

Axel was relaxing a bit, looking at the moon high in the sky from the walls of the gigantic colosseum, it looked quite beautiful and calming in his heart, which was filled with maelstrom, almost all the ti.

A gruff voice sounded beside him, “It’s really enchanting, isn’t it?” Axel was slightly surprised and looked beside him with so alertness, being wary that sothing had slipped past his senses.

he was surprised.

Axel hurriedly got up and bowed slightly as a form of respect for the person who appeared in front of him.

“Ashborn greets the vice leader of the Berserker Sect,” stated Axel respectfully, but he was quite wary on the inside, as far as he knew, this person was one of the most dangerous individuals in the entire empire, mostly because of his unpredictability.

This man literally did whatever he wanted on the fly.

So, he was quite tense.

The berserker remarked, “Oh, calm down, boy.

I can almost hear your paranoia screaming out aloud, you know?” Axel winced and straightened his posture and looked at the person, he had black hair and black eyes, very tall and quite a well-built body, but not too over the top muscular, well-trimd beard on his face, and long hair.

he was wearing a simple white tunic and jeans.

He looked like a very healthy and handso man.

But the guy was pretty old from what he knew.

The Berserker grunted annoyingly, “Done inspecting this mighty one?

Now sit down, don’t ruin the mood.” A wave of annoyance swept through Axel as he sat down as asked, the Berserker continued, “How did you co to condense your killing intent into a tangible liquid form?” Axel looked at the man for a mont and said honestly, “I sohow was able to do it when trying to kill soone.” The mighty warrior laughed at that response, and said, “No shit.

Obviously.” “At what age did you learn it?” he asked.

Axel hesitated for a mont but chose to answer the truth, “At 9.” The berserker slowly turned his head and looked at Axel with a deadpan expression, but seeing his unwavering gaze, he asked, “You’re kidding, right?” “I’m afraid not, and I am currently 15 years old, in case you didn’t know,” he replied.

The vice leader’s eyes widened, but he laughed aloud again after a few monts.

He then turned towards Axel and said seriously, “You must co to my sect.” Axel showed a frown.

“Sir, if you’re asking to abandon Runecasting and go to the berserker sect, I’m afraid that’s not possible.” But the warrior shook his head and said, “When you’re not busy with Runecasting anymore, then you must co.” Axel said, “Then I’m afraid it will be a long ti.” “That’s fine,” the berserker announced, “I understand from your fights that you like fighting with swords?

And maybe close combat in general?” Axel nodded with apparent interest, seeing that the mighty warrior chuckled, as he continued, “Well, you certainly do fight like shit in that regard, no proper sword art or techniques and ever the use of liquid bloodlust is beyond retarded.” Axel barely held in his frown from showing on his face, hearing such comnts.

He waited for the Berserker to continue, and he did, “You were born to be a killer, a slaughterer of unmatched and unbound prowess, yet you waste away your talent in this shitty runic sorcery?

It’s beyond disgusting.” Usually, if anyone said those words he would have beat the shit out of them, considering runic sorcery was his best bet in creating the cure of cancer for his little brother as it deals with very concepts of the world itself more closely than anything maybe.

But he couldn’t do anything against a warrior who held status similar to his master, or show any form of disrespect.

Not to ntion, it didn’t feel like the warrior said any of those words with bad intentions or anything, so he didn’t mind much.

The expert might even throw in so valuable info or helpful comnts, which might help improve his combat prowess through so insights and contemplation in the long run.

“But you’re talented regardless of that and extrely talented, no, no no, monstrously talented I say.

Its a sin I tell you that wasting away yourself in the damn runic studies, when you can just unleash your might to slaughter thousands and thousands in the battlefield.” stated the berserker with so apparent helplessness.

Then he stood up and handed over a weird-looking manual to him, explaining, “The reason I ca here is to give you this, one of the greatest sword arts of my sect.

I just couldn’t see such a talent rot away in silence.” “Learn it, practice it.

You might be able to start using it in just a month of practice, considering your high talent, though you won’t be able to learn much after a certain point.

Even so, it will increase your combat prowess greatly nonetheless.” Axel looked at the plain-looking manual with large eyes, expressing his excitent about it, which made the warrior chuckle.

Axel hurriedly stood and bowed again, “Thank you so, so much, Vice Sect Leader, I shall never forget this kindness of yours.” The berserker laughed and said goodbye to him.

he jumped from the 5-story tall walls of the colosseum and vanished in the next monts.

Axel kept looking at the manual, but there was an apparent caution in his eyes that replaced his excitent.

Since the mighty berserker said that it was a very powerful sword art, it should be as such, but he didn’t trust the guy blindly.

He needed to see if there was anything harmful in it, in the long term.

His master appeared after a few monts with a pleasant smile on his face.

Axel asked, “Is this thing trustworthy?” “Should be, that brute isn’t known to be manipulative and scheming, but I would be careful about it nonetheless, but it’s incredibly valuable, that sword art, I an.

It’s the third most powerful sword art in the entirety of the Berserker’s sect,” revealed his master.

Axel showed a surprised expression at that revelation, “But why would he just throw sothing so valuable, without asking for anything concrete in exchange?” “It just shows how much he values, and he isn’t wrong, aside from runic sorcery, you would make a great warrior, if trained well.

But I know you’re not willing to invest too much ti into it, for now,” stated his master.

“True, I need to hurry up and break through to the 4th circle.” His master sighed at that statent of his disciple and looked at the boy with pity.

For anyone else, their arrogance and pride would have pierced the heavens by now.

But his disciple only cared about making a cure for his brother.

His master stated, “You did well, till now.

My disciple, it ans a lot to for what you have shown, what a runecaster can be upon realizing their full potential, and the real challenge cos for you next.” Axel nodded, “It will not be easy in the 5th category fight.” “Nothing is, or ever was, for that note,” added his master.
