Before long,
Logan found himself standing before one of the black crystal pillars.
The smooth surface of the crystal reflected his figure faintly, his long, silver-white hair cascading over his head and outlining his handso appearance.
Countless eyes unconsciously shifted toward him. So out of boredom. Others out of curiosity.
A few felt he seed familiar but couldn’t completely place where they’d seen him.
During the previous incident, not all the students were present.
And due to the fact that the entrance examination beca a written test, many new, strange faces, far different from those who partook in the Origin Gate trial, could be seen.
The line had beco noticeably quieter ever since the appearance of multiple high-ranked talents.
Everyone wanted to see whether another monster would appear as they eyed him suspiciously.
Logan himself remained calm.
He already knew what his result should roughly be.
Back when he wrote the story, "Logan" was never ant to stand at the center of the stage. In fact, the character shouldn’t have existed.
Taking his spot should have been Ethan with an SSS-rank potential. However, due to the fact that he hadn’t completely awakened his system, Logan guessed that his potential likely capped at SS-rank at most.
That was how the original story should’ve gone. Now, however...
Logan calmly raised his bracelet toward the crystal.
The mont it made contact-
The black crystal suddenly trembled faintly.
’Hm?’
Logan’s brows raised slightly.
Then suddenly-
A deep crimson light exploded from within the crystal pillar.
The entire hall instantly brightened.
The previously noisy surroundings abruptly fell silent.
Everyone’s expressions froze.
Even the academy staff nearby widened their eyes slightly.
The crimson light rapidly intensified, becoming stronger and stronger.
Until the crystal itself began emitting faint cracking sounds.
Crack.
Crack.
The expressions of several instructors instantly changed.
"What the hell?!"
"Impossible-!"
Then-
A massive holographic screen above the hall flickered violently.
[Origin Rank: ???]
The entire hall erupted instantly.
"Question marks?!"
"What does that an?!"
"Did the machine malfunction?!"
Even Logan narrowed his eyes slightly.
That wasn’t supposed to happen.
When he’d written the novel, the protagonist’s own had only shown ’SSS’ rank and that was it.
The crystal continued trembling violently.
Then suddenly-
A second line appeared beneath it.
[Potential Evaluation Initiating...]
The surrounding noise gradually died down again as everyone stared upward nervously.
A few seconds later-
The screen flickered.
Then:
[Potential Rank: SSS]
BOOM!
The entire registration hall exploded into chaos.
"SSS-RANK?!"
"WHAT?!"
"No fucking way!"
"That’s impossible!"
"Wait, I recognise him, is he... the monstrous genius from the Origin Gate?" Soone finally recognised Logan and shouted.
Instantly, a few others took a closer look at Logan, and their expressions changed drastically.
Who didn’t know about Logan and his terrifying feats of challenging ten Origin expert beasts all by himself?
Even the previously indifferent academy guards visibly lost composure.
An S-rank was already considered a top-tier genius.
SSS-rank potential?
That was the realm of true monsters.
Existences capable of standing at the very peak of humanity.
Countless shocked gazes locked onto Logan instantly.
Disbelief. Jealousy. Shock. Fear.
Every emotion appeared at once.
anwhile, Logan himself remained staring silently at the screen.
Even he was genuinely surprised.
This...
Wasn’t part of the original story.
Then suddenly-
Warning sirens erupted throughout the entire hall.
[Abnormal fluctuation detected.]
[Re-evaluation required.]
[High-priority talent confird.]
At the sa ti-
Far above the registration hall-
Inside one of the academy towers-
Several figures abruptly looked up from their seats simultaneously.
One elderly man wearing a black academy coat narrowed his eyes sharply.
"SSS-rank potential?"
Another instructor frowned deeply.
"The last ti that happened was..."
Nobody finished the sentence.
Because they all rembered exactly who the previous owner of such an evaluation was.
Avery Adams.
anwhile, back below-
Logan slowly lowered his hand from the crystal while countless stunned gazes remained fixed onto him.
Then-
For the first ti since arriving at the academy-
The corner of Avery Adams’ lips curved upward faintly inside one of the upper-level observation rooms.
’Interesting indeed.’
Her eyes glimred with a strange fighting intent, and her body flickered like a ghost.
’Unfortunately, he’s still too weak,’ she muttered in regret.
Avery Adams loved fighting stronger opponents...
Seeing soone like Logan made her heart race expectantly...
She couldn’t wait until he was strong enough to battle her.
’That’s if he’s able to catch up with at all...’ she muttered in her heart, her fighting spirit blazing wildly.
The atmosphere inside the registration hall remained chaotic long after Logan stepped away from the crystal pillar.
Nurous students still stared at him with disbelief.
So looked shocked.
Others looked threatened.
An S-rank already represented a genius capable of dominating an entire generation.
But SSS-rank potential?
That was an existence people only heard about in stories.
Even the academy staff no longer looked at Logan normally.
Several instructors whispered amongst themselves while repeatedly glancing in his direction.
anwhile, Logan himself remained unexpectedly calm.
Though internally, his thoughts were rapidly moving.
Sothing had clearly changed.
His Origin rank couldn’t be unknown... except...
Logan thought of sothing and imdiately understood.
It was likely because he possessed two Origin paths, sothing which the academy’s artificial intelligence had never encountered in its life, that it was unable to fully calculate his potential.
’Then what of when I have 3 or even 4?’ The thought made Logan’s heart race expectantly, and the urgency to et the next heroine’s mother filled him with anticipation.
Before he could think further, a chanical voice suddenly echoed throughout the hall once more.
[Registration complete.]
[All first-year students are to proceed toward their assigned orientation sectors.]
Imdiately afterward, countless holographic screens shifted simultaneously.
Nas began appearing rapidly alongside sector numbers and departnt assignnts.
Students hurriedly searched through the lists anxiously.
"Combat Departnt, Sector Twelve..."
"Research Division..."
"Support Course?"
"Wait, why did I get assigned to Logistics?!"
The previously tense atmosphere shifted slightly into noisy confusion once more.
Logan calmly glanced toward one of the floating screens.
[Logan]
[Combat Departnt]
[Class Assignnt: Special Class A]
[Dormitory: Tower Nine, Room 307]
His eyes narrowed faintly.
Special Class.
’As expected.’
That only made things much easier from here on.
It was ti to et the next heroine’s mother.
The academy divided students not only by departnt but also by overall value and combat potential.
Special Classes were reserved for monsters.
The true elites among freshn.
Students expected to eventually beco pillars of humanity.
At the sa mont, nurous nearby students also noticed Logan’s assignnt.
"Special Class A..."
"Of course he got placed there..."
"Damn..."
Envy imdiately filled several gazes.
Special Class students received better instructors, greater academy resources, priority access to Origin Gates, and vastly superior treatnt overall.
The academy never believed in equality.
Only value.
Suddenly, a cold female voice echoed from nearby.
"Move aside."
The crowd instinctively parted.
Several students imdiately stiffened.
A tall woman wearing a black academy uniform walked through the hall calmly.
Her sharp crimson eyes swept across the surroundings indifferently while imnse pressure radiated from her body.
An instructor.
Logan instantly recognized her.
Selene Vale.
One of the combat instructors for Special Class A.
And one of the strongest instructors in the academy. She was even strong enough to rival Daenerys.
In the original storyline, she’d personally trained the protagonist during several major arcs.
She was cold, ruthless, and extrely powerful.
Her gaze briefly landed on Logan.
The hall suddenly felt colder.
"You."
Her voice was calm.
"Follow ."
Nurous stunned gazes imdiately landed on Logan once more.
He calmly stepped forward without hesitation.
Selene Vale turned around instantly and began walking away.
Logan followed behind her while the surrounding students watched silently.
So looked jealous while others looked relieved that such a monster wasn’t in their class.
As they exited the registration hall, the scenery around them gradually changed.
The noisy plaza disappeared behind them while the surroundings beca noticeably quieter.
Towering tallic buildings stretched across the academy grounds while transport rails moved overhead continuously.
Students could be seen sparring in distant arenas.
Explosions occasionally echoed from training zones.
Others hurried toward classrooms carrying stacks of books or holographic tablets.
The academy truly resembled a world of its own.
Eventually, Selene stopped before an enormous silver building.
Special Class Tower.
Unlike the other academy structures, this building possessed a strangely oppressive atmosphere.
Only a small number of students stood outside its entrance.
Yet every single one radiated powerful Origin fluctuations.
None were ordinary.
The mont Logan arrived, several gazes imdiately shifted toward him.
Their eyes were filled with curiosity, sharpness, and a scrutinizing look.
One black-haired young man leaning against the wall smirked faintly.
"So you’re the SSS-rank guy?"
Another student with chanical prosthetic arms narrowed his eyes silently.
A girl with erald hair openly observed Logan from head to toe without hiding her curiosity whatsoever.
Ethan’s eyes flickered faintly as he felt a certain wave of oppressiveness in his neck upon seeing Logan, as though he’d taken sothing from him.
Logan noticed that most of them weren’t present during the entrance test.
They likely ca from top families with special tokens that didn’t require entering through a test.
Monsters.
Every single one of them.
And these...
Were now his classmates.
