Now reading: Chapter 81: A Date With Cecilia... II {Mass Release} from Extra's Pov: The Goddess Wants Me To Conquer Milfs, a Fantasy novel by PervertedSaint.

Cecilia’s shoulders relaxed in visible relief. She had spent the entire walk overthinking whether the dress was too much or too little, but hearing him call it perfect sent a small thrill through her chest.

With that, they began walking toward the central district at an unhurried pace.

The streets had grown quieter now, lanterns casting warm golden pools of light across the stone paths.

For the first few minutes, silence lingered between them.

Comfortable.

Yet strangely charged.

Cecilia glanced sideways at him, violet eyes flickering beneath the lantern glow.

"I still can’t believe you showed up at my door. After seeing you’re part of the academy now... I assud you’d be focused entirely on training."

Logan gave a faint smile.

"Training matters. But so do promises."

He glanced toward her briefly.

"How have you been since the coffee date?"

Cecilia exhaled softly, her gaze drifting ahead.

"Tired, honestly. My father’s been pushing harder lately. Working the registration desk is exhausting. Dealing with arrogant fighters all day, listening to the sa crude comnts..."

She let out a faint, bitter laugh.

"Sotis I wonder if I’ll ever be more than just his daughter or the girl behind the counter."

Logan walked beside her quietly, listening without interrupting.

"You want more than that."

It wasn’t a question.

Cecilia nodded slowly, her grip on his arm tightening just slightly.

"I do. I train whenever I can. I want to beco strong enough that nobody can look down on anymore. Not my father. Not the people who think they can treat however they want."

Her violet eyes lifted toward him.

"What about you, Logan? You’re clearly talented. Why did you even co to the academy?"

For a mont, only the sound of their footsteps echoed softly along the street.

"The academy is everything right now," Logan said at last. "That’s where I’m going to carve out my future."

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"And honestly... I love fighting a little too much. It’ll be nice dominating everyone in my generation."

Cecilia listened carefully, her expression softening.

"Most people with high potential act like the world already owes them everything. You..."

She hesitated briefly.

"You speak like you’re still fighting for every single step."

Logan glanced at her calmly.

"Because I am. Potential without effort is worthless."

A faint flush spread across Cecilia’s cheeks.

She looked away for a second, unable to fully hide the small smile forming at her lips.

"You’re strange, you know that?" she murmured softly. "Most n only see one thing when they look at . Sothing to use. Sothing temporary."

"I’m not most n."

The simple confidence in his voice made her chest tighten slightly.

Cecilia let out a quiet breath that almost sounded like a laugh. Tilting her head slightly, she studied him beneath the lantern light.

"No... you really aren’t."

Her fingers lightly traced the fabric of his sleeve as they walked.

"The way you spoke to that night at the registration desk... even those few kind words you wrote on that paper stayed with . Most guys would’ve flirted, made crude jokes, or tried to act charming in so sleazy way."

Her gaze softened.

"You didn’t. You made feel... seen. Like I mattered beyond my last na or what I could offer soone."

She paused briefly before continuing in a quieter voice.

"It’s dangerous, you know. Being kind like that to soone like . I might start hoping you’ll keep doing it."

Logan t her gaze steadily, the corner of his mouth lifting faintly.

"Good. You should expect more."

His voice remained calm, but firm.

"You carry yourself like soone who’s been forced to carry too much alone for far too long. I’m not interested in adding to that weight."

Cecilia’s steps slowed for half a heartbeat as his words settled over her.

Warmth blood visibly across her freckled cheeks.

"Careful, Logan," she murmured softly. "Keep talking like that and I might actually start believing you an every word."

"I do."

His reply ca almost instantly.

For several seconds, Cecilia simply held his gaze in silence before looking away again, unable to stop the faint smile tugging at her lips.

The conversation flowed naturally after that.

Sotis teasing.

Sotis surprisingly personal.

The tension between them gradually softened into sothing warr, more intimate, as they continued toward the restaurant together.

By the ti The Silver Lantern entered their view, the distance between them felt noticeably smaller.

Inside, the restaurant glowed with soft candlelight and low conversation.

Cecilia hesitated briefly before speaking again.

"I like stargazing sotis. When the arena gets too loud, I sneak onto the old rooftop near my house."

A faint laugh escaped her.

"It’s quiet there. Makes feel... small, but in a good way."

She looked slightly embarrassed afterward.

"Sounds childish, doesn’t it?"

"Not at all," Logan replied, his dark eyes steady on hers. "It sounds honest."

Sothing in her expression softened imdiately after hearing that.

The main courses arrived soon after.

As they ate, the conversation drifted naturally between topics.

The academy entrance exams.

Her hidden training routines.

His own preparation before joining the academy.

Little by little, Cecilia relaxed completely.

Her laughter gradually beca easier, brighter, no longer restrained by nervousness.

At one point she leaned forward excitedly, violet eyes sparkling as she recounted a ridiculous story from the arena that even drew a faint chuckle from Logan.

Dessert arrived later in the form of warm honeyed pastries.

The candlelight danced softly across Cecilia’s freckled cheeks and the elegant curve of her neckline as she smiled across the table at him.

By the ti they finally left the restaurant, the night air had grown cooler.

Cecilia unconsciously stayed closer to him during the walk back, their arms brushing lightly from ti to ti.

Eventually, she stopped beneath a flowering tree.

Soft night blossoms drifted gently through the air around them.

For a long mont, Cecilia simply looked up at him silently.

Her violet eyes shimred with nervousness and hesitation, but beneath both emotions was a quiet kind of courage.

Her fingers tightened slightly against his coat.

Then, after taking one deep, shaky breath, she slowly rose onto her toes.

Logan’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.

He hadn’t expected her to make the first move so directly.

But before he could fully process the thought, her lips pressed softly against his.

The kiss began tentative and delicate, filled with quiet longing.

Yet as the seconds passed, Cecilia leaned closer into him, one hand sliding gently against his chest.

Logan responded instinctively.

His arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer against him.

What began as her hesitant advance gradually deepened into sothing mutual.

It was warm, slow and dangerously intimate.

He tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss as their lips moved together with growing hunger, the rest of the world fading away around them for those few precious monts.

When they finally pulled apart, both of them breathed unevenly.

Cecilia’s cheeks were deeply flushed now, her glossy violet eyes trembling faintly as she looked up at him.

"Logan..." she whispered softly, voice barely audible. "Wh-why don’t we go to a hotel or sothing? I... I want to be with you tonight."

For a mont, Logan looked genuinely caught off guard by how forward she had beco.

Then his expression softened.

He gently cupped her cheek.

Leaning closer once more, he gave her one last slow, lingering kiss, savoring the warmth of her lips before finally pulling back just enough to rest his forehead lightly against hers.

"I cherish you, Cecilia," he murmured quietly. "There’s sothing special between us. I don’t want to rush it."

His thumb brushed gently across her cheek.

"Your first ti deserves to an sothing. Not happen because of impulse or emotion in the middle of the night. You deserve better than that."

Cecilia’s eyes softened imdiately, warmth and disappointnt mixing together inside them.

Slowly, she nodded before biting lightly against her lower lip.

Logan leaned down and kissed her forehead gently.

"Rest well. I’ll see you again soon."

With that, he turned and walked away into the night, his long coat swaying softly behind him.

A quiet, satisfied smile rested faintly on his lips.

Another thread of fate had wrapped itself firmly around his grasp.
