This was going to be annoying.
I looked up at the intruder who had dared to cast a shadow over my glorious body. Of all people, he was the last one I expected to interact with this soon… but oh well, life hates anyway.
"How dare you humiliate ?" The boy demanded arrogantly.
…Okay, I'll take it back.
I should have expected this guy.
I an, I did shower him in glass shards when I exploded through the window like a cool superhero.
This guy was a Dragon Prince who valued his reputation more than his own life. So, him marching up to like this was completely normal.
"That wasn't my mistake," I replied, matching his tone with pure arrogance. "Why were you even sitting there to begin with? You should have known the great hadn't made his entrance through that window yet."
…Okay, that was low-key cringe.
But also extrely funny.
Alden Redspire, the oh-so-mighty Dragon Prince blinked with actual confusion for a second.
Honestly, he probably had never t anyone more arrogant than himself and that alone made the mont priceless.
"How dare you speak to that way?" he snapped. "I demand an honorable duel this instant."
This guy was the least of my concerns.
Sure, he was strong, even stronger than in so areas right now but he was also painfully childish and obsessed with his weird knightly principles.
And he had that massive secret… the one he would rather die than let anyone discover.
So honestly, I couldn't care less about this nobody.
"I apologise if I was too rude, Your Highness," I said, letting a mischievous smile slip. "You can write all your complaints about , including when you want the duel, neatly on a white sheet of paper…"
I paused when I saw the satisfied look forming on his face.
"…and once you are done writing, kindly shove that paper up your ass because I don't care about your complaints or your useless duel."
I barely managed to hold back my laughter when I saw the mix of anguish and humiliation twisting his face.
A few of the extra students who overheard burst into loud laughter, which only made it worse for him.
"You… you bastard."
His fists clenched so tightly his knuckles went white, his face turning beet red as he practically stord off with his cheeks puffed like an angry child.
Okay, that was rude but honestly I did not care. I had more urgent business to take care of.
And that Dragon Prince… or more accurately, Princess, yeah, I wasn't exactly worried about her.
And yep. She was a woman.
When she awakened, she ended up with a flaw that turned her into a man during the day and she only reverted to her original female form at night.
A brutal flaw… but unlike most people, hers actually had a possible cure, sothing that could completely erase it.
Naturally, though, her being an extra character, I didn't have much more information about her than that.
She was fated to die in the first major catastrophe after serving as the trigger for Sylvie awakening her Seed of Chaos.
Damn… didn't that make my insult to her hundreds of tis more humiliating?
But in my defense, she was in her male form, so honestly, who cares.
With those thoughts swirling around, I stood up from my seat and headed toward the entrance to handle my very important business.
And right on cue, Arthur appeared beside … with that sa earnest smile plastered on his face.
"Hey, brother, you wanna grab a al together?" He asked, sohow fully recovered from the morning's mana-overdose torture session.
"I have sowhere to go… so I can't right now," I replied casually.
"If it's not long, I can wait." He said imdiately, like a loyal golden retriever in human form.
I thought about how long I would be gone, then looked at him.
"Okay, sure. You go ahead to the cafeteria. I'll join you in half an hour, brother."
I made sure to return the "brother" right back at him.
I an, if a useful pawn was going to hand himself over so willingly… who was I to reject such a gift?
"Alright, brother," he said, his smile sohow brightening even more.
Looks like my little gesture worked.
He headed out.
As I started walking out, I let my eyes scan across the classroom one more ti.
Viola was in her seat without even looking in my direction because she was talking to that depressed bastard Noah and… honestly, I had no idea how that even happened.
But I didn't step in.
I was planning to befriend that bastard eventually, sure, but right now, Viola was still pissed at .
If I walked over and said anything, she would probably start cursing out on the spot.
So for now, keeping my distance was the smartest move.
Arza was still in her seat, staring blankly into the air while chewing on her chocolate like she was contemplating the fate of the universe.
I hadn't spoken much to her since the engagent, and yeah, I did need to fix that at so point…
but not right now.
I couldn't let anyone get suspicious about our engagent.
With those thoughts, I exited the classroom.
A grand hallway of the first-year building greeted for the first ti, mostly because when I entered earlier, I had taken a shortcut.
Countless students were moving around in groups, so alone, all in the sa uniforms as .
But naturally… none of them looked even close to as glorious as I did. The glares aid at made that pretty obvious.
I ignored them all and kept walking.
My destination was Azriel's office.
After all, if I wanted to deal with him properly, I first needed to understand the reason behind his hatred.
I had a few guesses already… eting him would let confirm them and if I was right, neutralizing that threat would be way too easy.
As I walked, I couldn't help thinking about how far I had co in just a few months.
I an, Noah only started eting gods after, what, a thousand chapters?
He didn't even kill his first S-Ranker until around the eight-hundredth chapter… and even then the guy was already injured, so Noah who was at B-Rank back then practically got the easy mode.
And here I was, already t five or six gods, pissed off at least half of them… and now casually planning how to take down an S-Ranker.
All while the original novel was barely past its first three hundred chapters.
Yeah.
I was moving a little faster than the script intended.
In the original novel, the first day of the academy didn't even happen until three hundred chapters after Noah's awakening trial and entrance test arc…
And that arc didn't even have real bosses. Half the main cast wasn't even introduced yet. Honestly, that was one of the reasons Noah's story flopped so hard.
I an, what kind of slow-paced clown of an author takes three hundred chapters just to reach the academy and only then introduces the main characters?
But… to be fair, a lot did happen during that stretch, which I skipped most of, because it was boring as hell.
Except… the Forest of Unmasked part. That arc was actually interesting because Noah suffered quite a lot in it.
I always considered the academy to be the first real major arc. Everything before that felt more like a glorified prologue than an actual story.
Still, I had to admit it, I really had co a long way. About one-tenth of the whole story, actually. I an, the original had like three thousand chapters…
"Good morning, Boss."
Just then, a loud greeting snapped out of my thoughts. I lifted my head and saw my seven underlings, led by Arckon, bowing before …
But they weren't alone.
Behind them stood fifty, maybe more, students, humans and demons alike, all bowing in the exact sa fashion.
What the hell?
I definitely did not accept anyone else into my faction.
"Who are they, Arckon?" I asked, eyeing the green-haired boy at the front. "I told you not to accept anyone without my permission, didn't I?"
Arckon raised his head while everyone else kept bowing.
"I didn't accept anyone, Boss." He said respectfully. "These students kept following our group to earn your permission… even after we told them not to."
Tsk.
I clicked my tongue but I didn't have the ti or the energy to deal with this circus right now.
I had already wasted precious minutes just walking here and I was finally standing right in front of the elevator.
So I simply waved my hand at Arckon.
"Okay, we'll talk about it later. You can go now."
I dismissed him and all his little followers on the spot.
He nodded, bowed and left with all the students with him.
I turned toward the elevator.
Demons hated technology, so of course this thing wasn't chanical, it worked on so fancy wind-elent magic and whatever other arcane principles they used to pretend they weren't just reinventing elevators.
I stepped inside and, without even a mont of hesitation, pressed the button for the top floor.
Because now… it was ti to take care of that annoying bastard.
Azriel was officially going to regret ever trying to harm .
A smile appeared on my lips instead of nervousness or fear.
There was sothing thrilling about tricking an enemy way above my strength level.
Maybe I really was starting to embrace my inner trickster.
