"Why the hell is this hole so dark…?"
I couldn't help but curse as I forced myself into the narrow passage, darker than pitch black. Just monts ago, I had been gulping down water like a madman after that bastard Winter left to dry for god knows how many days but then the entire treasury started shaking, cracks spreading across the walls.
Winter wasn't happy about the developnt either but what could he even do when the Heavenly Principles themselves were pushing this treasury out of the Mortal Realm?
According to him, the treasury had long overstayed the ti it was allowed to exist in the Mortal Realm as he had been resisting the push while I was inside his father's mories, chatting with the Trickster and trying to revive Eidolon.
Naturally, I, being a sane and perfectly normal human drowning in greed, cursed him. After all, he had promised to send to the places where I could obtain the artifact I wanted in exchange for helping him with that entire situation and I wasn't about to take a loss.

He said he also had a lot to talk about with his dear old dad, whom he had just reunited with after so many years.
So, with the smile of a complete maniac, he declared that he would burn away a small part of his own existence just to extend the treasury's stay by a few more hours and then he sent on my way, opening a tunnel that would lead near the chamber where the artifact I wanted was stored.
But now, my goal had changed slightly.
I still wanted the artifact but I also wanted to have so sweet revenge because if my guess was right, those transmigrator bastards should be there, assuming they hadn't already gotten their hands on whatever they were searching for and from what Winter had told , many elves had also gathered in that room.
So in a way, this was the perfect ti to get my revenge on both groups I hated.

The thing I was actually worried about was the fact that I had been climbing through this tunnel for the past half hour and I still hadn't seen anything close to an exit.

Still, as they say, there's light at the end of every tunnel and I didn't have to wait much longer.
I finally saw a bright glow shining down from above as I picked up my pace, inching closer to the exit but the mont I reached the opening, I heard voices.
I didn't stick my head out imdiately to assess who was outside as most of my body was still inside the tunnel and if I peeked out now, I wouldn't even be able to defend myself.

A feminine voice echoed. It was soft, but unfamiliar.
Who the hell is having a romantic date in this hellhole right now…?
I wanted to curse them, maybe even throw a few stones, but I held myself back because I still didn't know whether they were enemies.
There was no verbal response to her question.
Instead, her soft laugh echoed.
I guessed the guy must have nodded or sothing.
The feminine voice spoke again.
"Although I could never be… with you, you know… I do have a sister who is single and from what I have seen of you, I'm sure she'll like you too. After all, you are so sweet… and cool… Bearlo."

I saw a red silhouette above the opening as I pushed myself forward and leapt out of the hole, my fist already extended, amplified with internal gravity and mana, fully intending to give that bastard a proper whack.

As my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw Bearlo standing there, staring at in shock and behind him stood a white-furred bear who looked suspiciously like a female.

Before I even had to waste my precious brainpower, the dust began to settle and a white-furred bear, similar to the one behind Bearlo beca visible within the rubble.
He had a beard, his body wrapped in bandages and thanks to my punch, he looked even more injured than before.

I had many questions I wanted to ask but I knew better than anyone that this wasn't the ti for it as I quickly began assessing our surroundings because this sure as hell wasn't the General Hall.
