Lots of questions marks popped up inside Li Dafu’s mind!
Who the hell has the same dream as you? I am following what you said, and you take it seriously?
You are a motorcycle manufacturer, and I am dealing with renovation materials. Our factories have nothing to do with each other! Can magnesium-aluminum alloy be used on your motorcycles?
Actually after Li Dafu’s factory had successfully produced a magnesium-aluminum alloy, he was thinking about the uses for this alloy, other than for renovation. The renovation market was too small.
The areas Li Dafu had thought of and researched on, did not include motorcycles!
“Mr. Feng, what are you trying to say?”
Feng Yu laughed. Li Dafu was confused by him, and that’s good.
“Mr. Li, can you drive? What do you think of the automobile market?”
“Automobile market?” Li Dafu’s eyes widen in shock. This motorcycle manufacturer, Feng Yu, now wants to build cars?
If Feng Yu really wants to manufacture cars, then it was indeed related to him. This aluminum alloy can be used on vehicles. It was lighter than steel and will lessen the vehicle’s weight. Furthermore, this alloy will not rust easily.
That means Feng Yu really wants to manufacture automobiles.

But Li Dafu knew that although the automobile market is expanding, those established automobile manufacturers’ production is also increasing. There are also imported cars. He was not so optimistic about entering this industry as a new player.
The most promising mode of transportation in China now should be the motorcycles. Maybe Feng Yu had earned a lot from his bikes business and had this thought of manufacturing cars. This might not be a problem two years later. If he were to start now, it might be too early.
“Mr. Li also think automobile industry has the potential? That’s great. Our goals are the same again.|
Li Dafu: “……”
Never mind. I don’t care if it is the same or not as long as you place a big order with me.
“Mr. Li, have you ever thought that one day our Chinese automobile manufacturer will be one of the world’s top automobile manufacturer and might even be the world’s number one?” Feng Yu continued.
World’s number one?
Li Dafu felt that Feng Yu was crazy. Don’t talk about the world, just China alone had so many established automobile enterprises. Their production, scale, and technologies were the best in China, and your new automobile pany might not even survive in China, and you want to think about being the World’s number one?
It’s good to have a dream, but it must be realistic. Li Dafu felt that if Feng Yu’s goal was to survive in China’s market and get a part of the market share, it might be possible. But to be the world’s number one, he must be China’s number one first!
“Huh…. Mr. Feng is really ambitious.” Li Dafu doesn’t know what else to say.
The future Chinese market will be the biggest market for the automobile industry, regardless of trucks or saloon cars. The Chinese economy will grow rapidly, and from 1995 onwards, the automobile market starts to flourish. After the year 2000, this automobile market grew even faster. There was another sudden growth of the automobile industry after China joined the WTO in 2003.
In Feng Yu’s previous life, Toyota and Volkswagon were also because of their China sales to bee the world’s number one and two automobile manufacturer. If Feng Yu could get a large part of China’s market share, then Feng Yu can be the world’s top automobile manufacturer.
China’s automobile market will only be this big in the future, and Feng Yu must get the biggest market share!
“Mr. Li, it is important to have dreams. What if the dreams really e true? The most important thing is to work hard towards your dream then the dream will e true. If one day you are standing on the world stage, you can announce to the whole world that you had firm believes that your dreams will e true from day one. Imagine how beautiful that will be.”
Feng Yu’s words were very encouraging. The entrepreneurs of this era were all people who were not satisfied with working for others. Li Dafu had started his own business in 1986, and after so many years, his factory had grown from a small workshop with only a few employees to this factory with over a hundred employees. But this was still far away from his dream.
Li Dafu had also dreamt of his products being sold all over China and even exported overseas. But reality told him that this dream will remain as a dream. He was only someone who sells renovation materials. He thought that he was successful when he was the first one in China to produce a magnesium-aluminum alloy, but soon, he discovered that other factories also had made breakthroughs and was able to produce the alloy too. His products were not able to be sold all over China. Even in the surrounding provinces, he had many petitors.
But in his heart, he had not admitted his losses. He firmly believes that he would succeed one day. Feng Yu’s words had touched his heart. All this while he was working hard towards his dream.
If his goal was to let his family have a good life, then he had already achieved it. His factory was worth over 10 million, and if he sold his factory, he and his family could retire fortably. But that kind of lifestyle was not what he wanted. He still wants to work hard and achieve his dreams!
“So, Mr. Li, join my pany. Leave this factory for your family members to manage. e over to my pany, and we can create history!”
Huh? Li Dafu returned back to reality. Wasn’t Feng Yu going to place a big order for his alloy to manufacture cars? Give up this factory and work for him?
“Mr. Feng, are you telling me to work for you?” Li Dafu was not happy. He was the boss of a factory and even though his business was not as big as Feng Yu, but why should he work for Feng Yu?
“It is not working for me. It is creating the future together with me. Our Chinese automobile industry's future. Join my pany as the Deputy General Manager of my automobile project. I will give you some pany’s shares within 3 years as a reward. Once you own the shares, you are also a shareholder and consider one of the owners of the pany. What do you think? Do you dare to try?”
