The conversation on the way ho left Zhang Beixing lost in thought, but he soon dismissed it. After all, to him, won weren’t as captivating as martial arts practice.

After stumbling through another class, feeling groggy and confused, he found himself practicing his forms in the small grove that evening. As he trained, Zhang Beixing thought about the rapidly approaching final exams and the textbooks he had barely opened. He imagined the disappointed looks from his parents, grandparents, teachers, and his academic advisor if he were to fail his finals.
Zhang Beixing genuinely felt a pang of guilt.
So, he slapped himself.
Damn it, martial arts training is so enjoyable. Why do I have to think about these unsettling, unlucky things?

With that said, Zhang Beixing returned to his martial arts training, continuing until nine at night.
Seeing it was getting late, and concerned that practicing any longer might disturb people carrying out their "family planning" for a first, second, or even third child, Zhang Beixing packed up his things and left.
Upon returning to the dorm, he saw Zheng Jituo and the others. For once, they weren’t playing gas but were instead hunched over their desks, scribbling away furiously.
Seeing this, Zhang Beixing uttered a surprised, "Well now!"
"My brothers are actually studying? Well, I’ll be! Secretly grinding away without , huh?"
Hearing this, Zheng Jituo didn’t even lift his head and simply said, "Grinding my ass. We’re writing cheat sheets. The exams are in five days, Lao Zhang. Aren’t you even going to prepare?"
"Cheat sheets? Preparing for exams? Hah! Such a fuss over a trivial final. Jituo, it’s not that I’m picking on you, but you’re really disgracing us college students. I could answer all this stuff with my eyes closed!" Zhang Beixing spoke with supre indifference.
As soon as he said this, Jin Linyu, who was also furiously jotting down cheat sheets nearby, looked up and raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Lao Zhang? So, you’re saying you’re pretty much guaranteed to ace these finals?"
"Pretty much, easy peasy!" Zhang Beixing waved his hand dismissively, implying it was no big deal.
Then, he suddenly felt sothing was amiss. Why are only Jituo and Jin Linyu making any noise?
He walked over to Dong Guoning and patted his shoulder, starting to ask, "Dong Guoning, what are you do—" But then he saw Dong Guoning’s actions and broke off, utterly astonished. "Holy crap?!"
Dong Guoning was writing with a pen in each hand, scribbling on paper.
But that wasn’t the most crucial part. The most crucial part was that Dong Guoning’s eyes were also, unbelievably, looking at two different things at once!
Holy hell! Ambidextrous... no, that’s not it... dual-wielding... no, that’s not right either... Anyway, it’s freaking aweso! Dong Guoning, are you so kind of anti-human anomaly? What in the world is going on? Zhang Beixing was flabbergasted.
This whole display was truly wild!
Hearing this, Dong Guoning rubbed his eyes, returning them to normal. He turned and looked at Zhang Beixing, saying, "Writing cheat sheets. What’s up?"
"I know you’re writing cheat sheets, but... why are you writing two identical ones? And your eyes..."
"Oh, you an this? One set’s for my goddess. As for my eyes, heh, I only discovered this special ability today. Cool, right?"
"More than cool? It’s like a heifer sitting on a landmine—freaking aweso! Is this the power of a simp?" Zhang Beixing exclaid, astonished.
Dong Guoning shook his head. "No! It’s the power of love! You wouldn’t understand!"

Then he sat down, opened his laptop, and started watching "Empresses in the Palace."

June 13th, Tuesday. Weather: Sunny. Five days left until the final exams, but your bro isn’t worried at all. I even had spare ti for martial arts training—it’s all about being elegant and composed! A asly little final exam thinks it can distract ? Ridiculous!
June 14th, Wednesday. Weather: Heavy rain. Four days left until the final exams. The weather in Shishi really changes in an instant. Bored out of my mind, I went ahead and upgraded both Yue Family Continuous Fist and Northern Sect Eight Pieces of Brocade to 30. My Power and Constitution also reached 99.9. Now I only have 0.1 Ability Points left. This stuff sure goes fast! Got to get back to serious training!
June 15th, Thursday. Weather: Moderate rain. Three days left until the final exams. This damn rain still hasn’t stopped! I’m so incredibly bored. Can’t even practice the Hidden Force version of Northern Sect Eight Pieces of Brocade in the dorm. I’d barely started when the dormitory manager stopped , saying I was deliberately disturbing others and wasn’t allowed to practice. So annoying! Decided: I’m going to play gas all day to change my mood!
June 16th, Friday. Weather: Sunny. But I don’t have much enthusiasm for martial arts training anymore because, damn it, there are only two days left until the final exams! Two days! Is there any way to learn an entire sester’s worth of knowledge in just two days? Asking online, super urgent!
