Zhang Beixing then lit his cigarette and resud working on his phone.
Seeing him so engrossed yet clearly frustrated, Lin Siqi couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy. She stood up, moved behind Zhang Beixing, and reached out to gently massage his head, hoping to alleviate so of his stress.
Little did she know, the source of Zhang Beixing’s current frustration wasn’t the editing at all—it was her!
Because of the earlier incident, although Zhang Beixing hadn’t said anything, his mind inevitably began to wander. It was a normal reaction for any man! However, just as these thoughts began to surface, he suppressed them with his strong willpower. Smoking now was just his way of trying to restrain himself, to stop himself from overthinking.

At this mont, little remained of Zhang Beixing’s rationality; his base instincts had taken over. Their eyes locked. Zhang Beixing was panting heavily. Lin Siqi t his aggressive gaze without flinching, her own breathing heavy as she tilted her head up to look at him, her eyes gradually becoming dazed.
