At two in the afternoon, a call ca through to Zhang Beixing. Bartram, on the other end, said, "President Zhang, we have located your disciple Lin Pengfei."
Upon hearing Bartram’s words, Zhang Beixing paused his weapon cleaning, raised his eyebrows slightly, and took the phone from his ear to hold it in his hand.
"Where is he?" Zhang Beixing asked.
Bartram replied, "According to our investigation, your disciple Lin Pengfei has successfully escaped from the criminal gang and is currently hiding in a small hostel in the slums. Should we call the police to assist us in bringing him back?"
"Call the police..."
"No need!" Zhang Beixing replied after a mont’s thought.
During the few days since arriving in the Ladyboy Nation, Zhang Beixing hadn’t just been idling in his hotel. He had cooperated with the police and thoroughly investigated the Lin Pengfei incident, delving deeply into its causes and intricacies.
Thus, he discovered many problematic aspects to Lin Pengfei’s kidnapping. The biggest issue lay in the process itself.
It had happened too quickly.
So fast that Lin Pengfei, having just deplaned and taken a stroll in the city center of the Ladyboy Nation, was swiftly kidnapped.
During that ti, Lin Pengfei hadn’t even managed to send a distress ssage. Moreover, the incident hadn’t caused any local stir.

"But... President Zhang, if we don’t contact the police, what do we do? Do we go for the rescue ourselves?" Bartram asked.
To be honest, he was not keen on doing that. It felt far too risky.
What kind of people were in that criminal gang? They were extrely vicious and lawless individuals. And most importantly, the gang was very professional and powerful, spanning across Eurasia—clearly no ordinary organization. Moreover, these people were ard with guns!

"I will personally go to the rescue!" Zhang Beixing declared.

Second, even if they went, they might not necessarily succeed in rescuing him. After all, they were just a group of ordinary people facing a criminal gang that was likely ard. Other than drawing their own guns and engaging in a shootout, they had no effective counterasures. Following the location pinpoint, Bartram also added further details about Lin Pengfei’s exact hiding spot and its distinctive features.
