Now reading: Chapter 105 Stronghold from Extraordinary Voyage, a Fantasy novel by Beihai Whaling.

Like many evil-oriented Extraordinary professions, the induction ritual of a "Crimson Shooter" is absolutely unacceptable to the civilized world.

By conducting a malicious sacrifice ritual, sacrificing intelligent life (most commonly referring to humans) to summon Demons from the Lower World, then consuming the Demon Blood to et the prerequisites for induction.

This alone is a complete path of evil!

After successfully transforming through the Extraordinary Awakening, the inductee’s hands will turn crimson during combat, greatly enhancing dexterity and strength.

The constitution can be comparable to that of a low-level Knight, while also gaining an Extraordinary Power called "Crimson Spiritual Light." It is very suitable for using dium-range weapons like Flying Sabers and Firearms, which is how the profession "Crimson Shooter" got its na.

This ti, the man in the trench coat was sent out to collect children with unique qualifications to be used for the organization’s next sacrifice ritual.

In other words, their collected kind is a sacrifice for the Demons, a hundred tis more evil than the human traffickers who separate family mbers!

However, this path that can quickly form combat power, seems to be much stronger than ordinary Knights, just at the Tier 2 Official Transcendent Level, it can obtain the apparent Extraordinary Power that the Knight’s path only obtains at the Tier 3 Great Knight level.

But as the power becos easier to obtain, the risk of losing control grows to a terrifying degree, accompanied by major hidden dangers such as the normalization of amplified desires and a very high transformation death rate!

Combined with the constant need to commit cris and collect negative emotions from victims to make progress, this profession, while granting the inductee powerful strength, also puts them on a tightrope, always at risk of falling into the abyss if not careful.

"Huff..."

After a prolonged stalemate, with the continuous use of "Crimson Spiritual Light," the Demon Blood within the body of the man in the trench coat becos increasingly active, and his Reason starts to quickly dissipate, with negative emotions being infinitely magnified.

He understands that although the battle is still at a stalemate, and on the surface, he even seems to have the upper hand, his strongest moves pose no mortal threat to the young boy, and once his Flying Sabers are all used up, the one to die in the end will definitely be him!

"You want to save people, don’t you? Then let ... save!" The man in the trench coat becos ruthless, seeing that he is in a bad position, he decides that the boy won’t be a hero either.

Swoosh——

The next Flying Saber shoots out.

The target, however, is not Aiven, but rather the last living person in the scene, the emaciated girl who is still tied on the ground and struggling to escape like a worm.

The girl lying face down, constantly wriggling away from the battlefield, has not yet realized that a deadly Flying Saber is already flying toward her, and with her ordinary constitution, there is no way she could survive a hit from a Flying Saber.

A tragedy is about to unfold.

Clang——

A long tallic resonance rings out very close to the girl.

Her body stiffens, and she struggles to turn and look back.

In the moonlight, a silhouette, not particularly tall yet imnsely towering, stands behind her with a Longsword raised high. A Flying Saber ricochets off the blade, landing not far from her, with its sharp tip piercing into the ground and disappearing from sight.

This silhouette in the moonlight is imprinted on the girl’s mind, never to be forgotten for the rest of her life.

"Hehe..." Watching the man in the trench coat turn and flee after launching his Flying Saber, Aiven lets out a couple of cold laughs.

He had long known not to underestimate the depths to which these scumbags could sink, and while continuing his pursuit, he kept an eye on the girl left behind.

Aiven had no doubt that if the man in the trench coat had known his true strength earlier, he would have held the girl hostage without any hesitation.

After all, Aiven wasn’t like a policeman from the United States, capable of simultaneously taking out a hostage and a kidnapper with a dazzling maneuver!

If it had co to that, the situation would have been quite ugly. Fortunately, the arrogance of the man in the trench coat gave him a chance, and at least now the "hostage" was safe.

With a thought, two large Frigatebirds with black feathers and red bellies, spanning over three ters, landed on the walls flanking the alley.

"Stay here and wait for to co back, and don’t run around." Cutting the ropes binding the girl with a swipe of his sword, Aiven instructed.

Whoosh——

With a push of his feet, Aiven turned into a blur, pursuing the fleeing man in the trench coat like a leopard.

Leaving the girl alone guarding the two slowly stiffening corpses on the ground, not knowing whether to cry or laugh.

"Caw... Caw..."

In the darkness of the night alone, accompanied by the occasional calls of the two black birds, the girl huddled with her sowhat numb shoulders, crouching on the ground, feeling particularly desolate and cold.

...

With the Sea Birds as scouts, Aiven had no worry of losing track of the man in the trench coat.

He leaped and dashed across rooftops and walls, quickly catching sight of the man in the trench coat with the guidance of the Sea Birds.

Unfortunately, the area where the warehouse was located was already on the border of the slum and comrcial districts, and after a brief delay, the man had already slipped into the comrcial district.

Unlike the deserted slum at night, the comrcial district was still brightly lit.

Watching the man in the trench coat slip into the back door of a bar, Aiven’s face turned slightly grim.

This bar was clearly a hidden stronghold of the "Blood Hand Gang."

At this ti, many people were still indulging in taverns, nightclubs, and other money-draining establishnts. It might be overlooked in the slum, but committing a public murder in such a place, even with his officer identity, Aiven would not be exempt from responsibility.

This was also a consideration when the man in the trench coat initially chose the transaction spot, preparing to quickly escape if an unforeseen accident occurred.

However, Aiven did not intend to give up.

From what he heard from the driver Hoyl, and what he saw himself, the child disappearances in the slum had evidently been ongoing for so ti, with a number of victims too large for the authorities not to notice sothing was amiss.

It was conceivable that if such a situation continued unchecked, the number of innocent children who might fall victim in the future was unimaginable.

Moreover, considering the capabilities of the man in the trench coat, it was evident that the core mbers were likely all Extraordinaires, and even the ordinary City Guard could do nothing about witnessing their transactions.

Aiven did not consider himself a Saint, but in a situation where he had the ability, he could not turn a blind eye to such tragedies occurring.

Letting the Sea Birds continue their surveillance, Aiven decided to first handle the aftermath properly.

A mont later, he returned to the warehouse where the transaction had just taken place.

Though still in shock, the emaciated little girl listened to Aiven and remained there. Seeing Aiven’s return, her eyes imdiately lit up with a joyful sparkle.

"Child, where is your ho? I’ll have soone take you back." Although Aiven wasn’t much older himself, it didn’t deter him from referring to the malnourished and particularly petite girl as a child.

"My ho is at Mog Farm, thank you for saving , big brother!" Perhaps due to the recent ordeal, the girl’s voice carried a hint of attachnt and admiration for Aiven.

After all, which girl hasn’t dread of a prince rescuing her from misery?

In his hurry to return to "cleaning up the ss," Aiven paid little attention to the particular tone in the girl’s voice.

"You’re welco, hold tight to ."

Aiven nodded, bending down to pick her up, and dashed toward the road running through the slums.

His carriage was still waiting there.

As for the two corpses on the ground, they were naturally left for the City Guard to handle. Aiven was confident that with just a sword mark above, there was no way it could be traced back to him.
