Whoosh—
Black Sea West Coast.
With the help of the northeast trade wind, a Level 3 battleship flying the Phaletis blue pennant was speeding towards the Kingdom's naval base "Dierben Castle" in the New Continent with full sails.
This is also the usual procedure in the New Continent garrison mission, first escorting oceangoing rchant ships departing from the holand to the Kingdom's first royal colony in the New Continent, Thoms Town.
Then head separately to the Kingdom Navy's northernmost base, Fort George, and the southernmost base, Dierben Castle.
The fleet arriving this August is also the first large-scale fleet of the fall sailing season this year.
In the captain's cabin of the battleship.
"I can't rember if it was eight or nine years ago the last ti I ca to the New Continent for a mission?
Although starting from scratch, the developnt of this colony is changing day by day; it's different on the mainland.
If only Heir... sigh, never mind him."
Looking at the sowhat unfamiliar yet familiar scenes on land outside the porthole, First Mate Perry couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion. After being penalized and removed from the battleship sequence, he never imagined he'd return to this magical land one day.
Without a doubt, this battleship is Gel's "May Wind."
"The mistakes of the past, I will personally make ands for.
Fortunately, after the great war with Hilus last year, Chris finally grew up, barely making it to an Official Knight at the age of 35. It wasn't all in vain after many years of hard work."
After advancing to Tier 3, Gel no longer held the fleeing Heir, a re Tier 2 "Exiled Prisoner," in his heart, but felt a sense of consolation looking at his longti loyal boatswain, Chris.
"Heh, Captain, compared to Elante, what do my achievents count for?
He, a genius who completed the Extraordinary Transformation at just sixteen, only a little later than General Aiven. When he graduates from the Royal Navy Naval Academy, it will be his ti to soar, and the captain has worthy successors."
Chris chuckled; he felt his own potential had been exhausted. But Elante, with two more years of study left at the Royal Navy Academy, was already a standout among his peers, and he might not have no chance of advancing to Tier 3 like Gel in the future.
"Hahaha..."
These words tickled Gel, making him burst into hearty laughter. Becoming a brigadier general, advancing to Tier 3, and receiving an audience and comndation from Her Majesty the Queen at the beginning of the year were not as joyful as Elante's breakthrough becoming an Official Knight.
He knew very well that behind all this was one person's silent contribution.
Just as the few were chatting happily.
Suddenly.
"Click, clack, click, clack..."
An unusual sound emanated from Gel's pocket, knowing very well what that sound signified, the three in the captain's room couldn't help but change their expressions.
Quickly taking out the "Sea Monster Compass," like a silver pocket watch, the complex chanical dial in the middle, a gemstone needle slowly rotating amidst continuous clicks, finally resting at the 8 o'clock position.
"A sea monster, right when we just arrived at the New Continent? Sound the alarm, prepare the 'Siren's Song'!"
Without hesitation, activating the power of the "Life Tree Totem Warrior," a flash under Gel's feet, he took the lead in rushing out.
Swish—
At the rear left side of the battleship.
An enormous dark shadow over fifty ters in length underwater led the way, a bregentine-type two-masted mixed sail ship with an ink-green hull aside from the white sails skimd nimbly across the water, automatically aligning alongside the "May Wind."
A young general with arms crossed, a cloak billowing behind, stood alone at the bow, turning his head to glance at the battleship.
Shooting up to the ship's foredeck, Gel's solemn expression quickly dissolved when he saw who it was, quietly turning mischievous.
Snap!
The heels of military boots clicked together, leading the way to salute:
"Major General, Gel Cooper reporting to the New Continent!"
The tall young general solemnly returned the salute:
"Welco to your arrival, Brigadier General Gel!"
Then, there was a burst of laughter between the two as they locked eyes.
Following close behind, First Mate Perry and Boatswain Chris exchanged glances, seeing the delight followed by...a full asure of exasperation in each other's eyes, those two are just too much.
It was only then they noticed that on the peculiar-looking ship, there was only Aiven alone, with no other crew mbers. They suspected it as a wizard's technique but did not inquire further, rely expressing astonishnt.
In fact, this was the first ti the two-masted mixed sail ship equipped with "Activated Ship Armor" ventured to sea, and Aiven's goal was far more than rely greeting Gel.
Gaining inspiration from that layer of "Venom" on the Wizard Tower, combining the small mushroom n derived by Midorra with "Venom," the intelligent "Venom" Activated Ship Armor was easily realized.
Replaced all the sailor ropes, allowing one person to maneuver the ship. Additionally, it integrated several useful auxiliary functions like automatic cruising, freshwater extraction, decomposing organic matter into edible fungi, among others.
Completely enveloping the hull drastically reduced seawater resistance and provided superior protection than copper sheathing, any shipworms attempting to attach themselves to the hull would only beco food for "Venom."
Suddenly, Aiven's ears twitched as if receiving so signal.
"Oh, what a coincidence."
Whoosh whoosh whoosh...
Turning to look out at the sea surface, a substantial whirlpool appeared without warning on the left side of the ship's hull.
