After casually asking for directions, Lin Feng appeared in Zhou Yang’s office.

"Haha, Lin Feng, you’re here! Please take a seat, make yourself comfortable!" Zhou Yang, seeing Lin Feng’s arrival, was thrilled and hurriedly ushered Lin Feng to sit on the visitor’s sofa. It seed that Lin Feng was in a good mood today, probably nothing special going on. Otherwise, every encounter with Lin Feng was bound to involve so earth-shattering issue, which made Zhou Yang sowhat nervous whenever he saw Lin Feng.

Lin Feng didn’t stand on ceremony and both sat down on the sofa, one after the other.

"Director Zhou, I’m here today because I have a matter to discuss." Lin Feng saw Zhou Yang brimming with vigor and felt happy for him. After being suppressed by Liu Jilong for so long, it was great to see him doing well. Lin Feng would have felt the sa joy. Such enthusiasm would lead to great efficiency at work. More importantly, Zhou Yang hadn’t acted like the petty people who pretended not to know him, which reassured Lin Feng that he hadn’t misjudged Zhou. If it had been soone else in Zhou Yang’s position, those he knew from before would pretend not to recognize him. That’s human nature for you.

Luckily, Zhou Yang remained as warm as ever, even more enthusiastic than before, which genuinely pleased Lin Feng.

"What’s the matter? As long as I can help, consider it done without a second word!" Upon hearing that Lin Feng indeed needed his help, Zhou Yang imdiately inquired. He knew that he had to take Lin Feng’s matters seriously, as Lin Feng had helped him so much, and he hadn’t had the chance to repay him. He felt he must do well this ti; otherwise, he would be very uneasy.

"Actually, it’s nothing too important. The school wants to lead a team to Yuegang for an exchange, but I lack the necessary docuntation," Lin Feng explained, not wanting Zhou Yang to worry unnecessarily over thinking he had another difficult issue to deal with.

"Oh, just that? That’s easy, I’ll arrange for soone to take care of it right away." Upon hearing what Lin Feng said, Zhou Yang couldn’t help but laugh, realizing he had been overly anxious. All the issues he had encountered with Lin Feng were significant, and it never occurred to him that Lin Feng would co to him just for this. But since Lin Feng had asked, he would definitely see to it personally. With this thought, he activated the intercom on his desk and called for his secretary, Xiao Li, to co in.

"Xiao Li, Mr. Lin Feng needs to process the paperwork for travelling to Yuegang. Take care of it, would you? And bring the docunts here afterwards!" Zhou Yang ordered Xiao Li to handle Lin Feng’s paperwork as soon as Xiao Li walked in.

"Yes, Director! I’ll go right away!" Secretary Xiao Li glanced at Lin Feng and then respectfully exited. However, his mind was anything but calm. Who was this man sitting on the sofa, and why was Director Zhou treating him with such favor? Director Zhou was famously impartial and it was unknown who could be so close to him. This young man must be soone extrely important for the Director to take such special notice of him.

Who exactly was he anyway? Xiao Li had never seen him before; it was as though he had co out of nowhere. Regardless of who he was, since the Director had given his orders, Xiao Li was determined to handle the matter well. Just a trip to Yuegang, he would directly opt for the highest level of service, to save face for the Director and also demonstrate his own smooth handling of affairs!

There was no ti to waste, so Xiao Li quickened his pace, knowing that getting the docunts processed quickly was the real priority.

Just as Xiao Li left, a hearty laugh ca from outside. As soon as Wang Ming saw Lin Feng, he ca over warmly.

"Lin Feng, I heard from the Director that you had co, so I hurried over. How have you been lately?" Wang Ming was imnsely grateful to Lin Feng. He had initially thought he’d spend his life as a vice-captain of a sub-bureau, but in the few months since Lin Feng appeared, he had risen swiftly to beco the captain of the city bureau’s criminal police team. The change was so huge that he still felt like he was dreaming.

Regardless, everything he had now was thanks to Lin Feng. Without Lin Feng’s appearance, he would have remained a vice-captain until retirent. This favor was sothing he would always rember and if needed, he was determined to assist Lin Feng with all his might, a decision he had made long ago in his heart.

"Yeah, it’s been quite a while since we last t. I’ve been very well," replied Lin Feng, also feeling indescribably joyful upon seeing Wang Ming. After all, it was rare to find a policeman with such a strong sense of justice as Wang Ming these days. Not to ntion anything else, the fact that Wang Ming was willing to take the fall for him during the human trafficker incident was enough to show Wang Ming’s character, and such police officers were truly a rarity now!

"Hehe, Lin Feng, what brings you to the city bureau this ti? Just say the word if you need my help," said Wang Ming, knowing that Lin Feng wouldn’t co to the city bureau without a good reason. He just didn’t know what the issue was or whether he could be of assistance. But if it was within his power, he wanted to do his utmost to help.

Although he didn’t know Lin Feng very well, one thing was certain: given Lin Feng’s capabilities, there didn’t seem to be many things that could trouble him. After all, he had knocked down a whole bunch of thugs single-handedly. So what could possibly be challenging for him? That ant it wasn’t an issue of that nature. Then, what else could Lin Feng possibly want from the police station?

"It’s nothing, Director Zhou has already sent soone to take care of it!" Lin Feng assured Wang Ming, not wanting the old policeman to worry.

"Lin Feng, shall we have lunch together?"

"Yeah, Lin Feng, we’ve known each other for so long and haven’t had a al together yet."

"I don’t have anything on this afternoon, I should be able to."

"How are your uncle and aunt doing now? Just let know if you need my help, okay?"

"Heh, I don’t have any big capabilities, I can only make sure no one dares to bother them."

...

While the three people were chatting here, it wasn’t long before Xiao Li ca back with a docunt and respectfully handed it over to Lin Feng.

"Mr. Lin, this is for you!"

"How co this isn’t a visa?" Lin Feng took the docunt and casually flipped through it, it seed different from the usual visas, what was this?

"Lin Feng, this thing is much more useful than a visa, it’s an internal docunt for the police, it can reduce a lot of trouble, but it is only for use within Yuegang. At critical tis, it can even be used to call on so police forces." Zhou Yang imdiately answered the question. It was normal for Lin Feng not to know the significance of this docunt; Zhou Yang had learned about it only when dealing with matters in Hong Kong. Indeed, it was very useful as it could directly summon a part of the police force in Hong Kong, showing just how effective it was.

"Director Zhou, I’ll go back to work now." Seeing that there was nothing more to do here, Xiao Li planned to go out and do his job. No leader would want their secretary to know too much, and a secretary should have the awareness of what their role entails.

"Mm, go ahead," Zhou Yang understood Xiao Li’s thoughts and casually agreed.

"Lin Feng, I’m also heading back. The Criminal Police Team is busy, and I can’t leave for too long. We can et again at noon." Wang Ming also took the initiative to say goodbye. There was really a lot going on at the police station these days, with several pressing cases accumulated over the past two years, keeping him extrely busy. It would be better to gather with Lin Feng at noon when they could speak more freely.

"Let’s go for a walk, is there sowhere around here we can talk?" Lin Feng felt uncomfortable staying in the office and wanted to change the environnt to chat with Zhou Yang. He was just unfamiliar with the surroundings, which is why he asked.

"The park behind the office is nice, we can go there for a walk." Upon hearing Lin Feng’s words, Zhou Yang promptly chose the closest place. However, he was puzzled by what Lin Feng ant. The office was just fine, so why go outside? Could it be that Lin Feng had sothing important to tell him?

Thinking this, Zhou Yang promptly led Lin Feng toward the park behind the office building.

"Tell about my senior disciple, Wang Anjun," said Lin Feng. Every ti he saw Zhou Yang, he thought of his senior disciple, Wang Anjun, but he hadn’t seen him yet, which left a lingering concern in his heart.

"Brother Wang was originally our instructor. Before I transferred out, I was a mber of that departnt..." Only now did Zhou Yang understand what Lin Feng ant and, without hesitating, he started to slowly talk about everything related to Wang Anjun. Lin Feng would eventually learn about these things anyway, and there was no need to keep them a secret from him. Had it been soone else, Zhou Yang definitely wouldn’t have spoken of it. But a big question mark was spinning in his head—who could be the teacher of Lin Feng and Brother Wang? Producing two disciples of such heavenly level, their ntor must be incredibly powerful. If he could just be a nominal disciple like Brother Wang, he definitely wouldn’t be just a police director!

"How long has it been since you last saw my senior disciple?" Lin Feng was well aware of the special regulations of those so-called special departnts, where it’s common not to et for several years. But these past two days, he had a feeling that sothing was about to happen to Wang Anjun, and he had divined a Blood Disaster. Hearing Zhou Yang speak of his senior disciple’s cultivation, it seed decent, so who could have injured him? Moreover, the most important thing was to find out where Wang Anjun was now.

"It’s been years since I last saw him, but the first ti I saw you at the police station, it was after receiving his call that I went. And now, I also have no news at all," Zhou Yang narrated in detail, not sure why Lin Feng asked, but knowing that Lin Feng never spoke nonsense; everything he said had a purpose. What then was the intention behind his question?

"Oh, I see," Lin Feng replied upon hearing what Zhou Yang said. He realized that it was impossible to get any clues from Zhou Yang and thought that he might need to use a computer to handle so affairs later.
