After a few hours, a rampaging Ice Demon Qi suddenly burst from the Ancient Ice Louse, instantly forming a storm that swept the surroundings, enveloping Fang Yan and the Ice-armored Cold Emperor Scorpion. However, the two had already used Gang Qi and Demon Energy to create a protective shield as soon as the storm erged, so they were unaffected.
Though they remained unhard, the environnt around them was utterly destroyed. Within a range of several miles, the storm wreaked havoc, countless Ice Crystals tumbling, raising waves of ice dozens of ters high, devouring and grinding everything to pieces...
When the storm subsided, the white mist around the Ancient Ice Louse disappeared, revealing its true form. But the form had changed; its four legs appeared elongated, looking quite awkward.
At that mont, a glow erupted from the Ancient Ice Louse, and its towering ten-plus zhang tall body shrank within the light, transforming into a person appearing about forty or fifty years old, albeit with an exceptionally pale complexion, similar to the whiteness of snow!

After a brief thought, it asked Fang Yan: "I don’t know what you want with the Ice Bear. That creature is simply super monstrous, incredibly powerful, and has no weaknesses. If not for my speed, any other creature would have been devoured by that old beast. If not necessary, I suggest not provoking that creature."
"Typically, where powerful Demon Beasts exist, there are benefits, and the stronger the Demon Beast, the better the things they guard. I’m interested in what it’s guarding." Fang Yan made no attempt to hide his intention, openly expressing his desire to acquire precious treasures, plain and simple.
But Fang Yan’s words left the Ancient Ice Louse stunned, pondering seriously with frowned eyebrows before finally responding: "Sir, if you’re looking for treasures, you might be disappointed. That creature roams without a fixed dwelling in that area. I was once curious and explored the area at the risk of being chased by the Ice Bear, using my speed, but found no treasures. "Is that so?" Upon hearing this from the Ancient Ice Louse, Fang Yan was taken aback, not expecting such an outco. How could such a formidable Demon Beast guard no treasures?
"Sir, I’m telling the truth. I was puzzled back then too, but that’s just how it is. I even explored the ice beneath while running around, and it was nothing but ice; no one understands why the Ice Bear is there!" Seeing Fang Yan’s disbelief, the Ancient Ice Louse quickly added. It wasn’t trying to hide anything; that’s just how it was. Offending the Ice Bear for no reason is really not worth it.
Hearing the Ancient Ice Louse’s explanation again, Fang Yan frowned, realizing the Ancient Ice Louse wasn’t lying. What it said must be true, and given that the Ancient Ice Louse was previously at Demon Immortal Realm Peak, it couldn’t have been mistaken. This made the situation quite unusual.
After a brief contemplation, Fang Yan abandoned this plan and shifted his attention elsewhere. "Is there nowhere else special on this level?"
"Of course, there are other special places. Over nurous years, I’ve figured this place out, but there aren’t many special areas. Only a few places, none of which held anything, except eventually finding this Cold Pool where I settled."
When the Ancient Ice Louse heard Fang Yan’s inquiry, it answered imdiately. This level was too vast; it couldn’t rember how long it took to explore fully. Fortunately, it was fast; otherwise, it would have perished many tis over.
With that, its face held an apologetic look, initially intending to lure Fang Yan to the Ice Bear to get him killed, but now that Fang Yan had helped it reach the Demon Venerable Realm, it couldn’t do that anymore, so it could only tell the truth now.
"Very well, take to the other places." Fang Yan nodded gently, quietly speaking, not believing the Cold Pool was the only place of interest on this level; there must be others.
"Alright, no problem!" The Ancient Ice Louse was now too happy for words, swiftly reverted to its original form, and quickly said as it carried Fang Yan and the human-shaped Ice-armored Cold Emperor Scorpion, charging into the distance!
When the Ancient Ice Louse started running, Fang Yan finally realized why it was so fast; it didn’t walk but hopped forward. Each leap covered several miles, faster than flying...

Elsewhere, Qin Kun and Wu Shan were in a different situation on the second layer, struggling bitterly against a cold ice-type Demon Beast, suffering greatly! This beast was a Demon King Realm Peak Demon Beast; its form resembled a tailless otter lying prone, tens of zhang long, covered in dense ice, exuding intense Cold Qi. Light blue Demon Energy coated its body, making it appear even more eerie.
Its na was Ten Thousand Cold Ice Otter, ranking among the top three beasts in Ice Abyss’s second layer, indicative of its power!
Qin Kun and Wu Shan were now frustrated beyond asure. Though in Heaven Demon Forest, both of them could separately challenge the Demon King Peak Demon Beasts, against this cold-type Demon King in Ice Abyss, they lost all initiative. The reason was simple; the Cold Qi here affected them, and this cold-type Demon King mastered various Cold Qi utilization techniques, leaving them clueless on how to deal with it!
But with Fang Yan absent, they knew survival depended solely on themselves. They struggled bitterly for more than half a two hours; neither side prevailed. The cold-type Demon King had lost a claw, while Qin Kun and Wu Shan were covered in thick ice, severely hindering their movent.
"We can’t continue like this; staying here will get us killed!" Qin Kun, observing the worsening situation, transmitted to Wu Shan. Facing this predicant, if they didn’t co up with a response, they were truly in danger.
"I know, but the ice is too heavy, hindering Gang Qi flow; what do you propose?" Wu Shan replied, troubled, having exhausted all ans to no avail. Carrying hundreds of pounds of ice against a Demon King Realm Peak cold-type Demon Beast, if he had a solution, it’d be miraculous!
"If we can find a way to shed the ice, seize an opportunity, we might defeat it! Ice...oh yes, listen..." Suddenly, Qin Kun thought of a plan, imdiately transmitting to Wu Shan, making Wu Shan’s eyes light up. This plan might turn the situation around.
But just then, the Demon King Realm Peak cold-type Demon Beast, the Ten Thousand Cold Ice Otter, spoke: "You two give up. To let this Demon King be dismbered, there’s no way I’ll spare you today."
The voice was cold, laden with killing intent. Just after speaking, it turned into a mass of white light charging at Fang Yan and Wu Shan. Wherever it passed, the air froze. Though it now had only one claw, it bore three tal-like talons, enshrouded in boundless ice, slashing at Qin Kun and Wu Shan!
Without exaggeration, should this claw strike, Qin Kun and Wu Shan would be crushed into at patties instantly. After all, the power of a Demon Beast at the Demon King Realm Peak was incomparable to humans, and the might of this strike was beyond what ordinary people could withstand.
"Now!"
Confronting the Ten Thousand Cold Ice Otter’s attack, Qin Kun showed no panic. In the crucial mont, he suddenly transmitted, then imdiately lunged at the nearby Wu Shan! Prepared, Wu Shan also rushed towards Qin Kun; they instantly unleashed all their Gang Qi, colliding like two ice figures!
"Boom!"
A loud sound of collision ensued; because of their incredible speed, they almost instantly crashed into each other. The hardened ice on them was forcibly smashed, indicating the imnse force they used, and the shattered ice pieces even flew towards the Ten Thousand Cold Ice Otter’s incoming claw, briefly pausing it.
But that brief pause shifted the entire battle.
Now free to move, Qin Kun and Wu Shan ignored the blood at their lips and the injuries from the collision, fully unleashing their Gang Qi, launching each of their trump cards at the Ten Thousand Cold Ice Otter!
A sword, seemingly about to pierce the void, overflowing with killing intent, the sword’s white light flickering, infinite sharpness!
An axe, seemingly splitting the earth, powerful enough to cut through, gleaming white, full of piercing intensity!
