In the study of Windsor Castle, the Eldest Princess Annie finished reading the two letters she received and fell into deep thought.
One of the letters was written to her by Perfikot, while the other was an action report penned by the Intelligence Bureau’s spies.
From these two letters, the Eldest Princess Annie had gained a comprehensive understanding of Perfikot’s activities in the New Continent and the Northern Territory, and she was further aware of the impact caused by Perfikot beyond the progress of the plan that Perfikot was advancing.
Not only did she whip those sluggish nobles of the Langton Noble Council into producing a feasible doomsday response plan within months, she also had a profound influence on the situation in the New Continent colonies.
The Eldest Princess Annie still recalled that before Perfikot set out to the New Continent, she had warned to be cautious of the independence movent’s impact on the situation in the New Continent and to avoid it affecting the Empire’s doomsday response plan.
Unexpectedly, in just a few months, or rather, rely a week’s ti, Perfikot had managed to resolve a matter almost considered as a fundantal concern for the Empire.
Though it couldn’t be said to be completely resolved, at least for several years, the Empire need not worry about the independence issue in the New Continent colonies.
Perfikot’s efficiency was so high that in comparison to her efficacy, the Empire’s policies and actions concerning the independence movent in the New Continent colonies over the past decade appeared almost clownish.
Of course, with the insight of the Eldest Princess Annie, she would not one-dinsionally assu that the colonial authorities of the Empire in the New Continent were rely holding sinecures.
Perfikot was able to achieve such results because she had enough power and was willing to adopt so radical asures.
The Empire’s colonial authorities appeared inept largely because they had to maintain the Empire’s rule in the New Continent and couldn’t use so extre asures to exacerbate the conflicts between the colonies and the Empire’s holand.
While Perfikot’s radical asures seed effective in the short term, from a long-term perspective, these were tantamount to quenching thirst with poison.
However, right now the Empire no longer had the luxury to consider the long term; problems had to be solved in the short term.
At such tis, Perfikot’s strong-arm and iron-blooded radical approach produced comndable effects.
"Who would have thought that Alina’s daughter wouldn’t resemble her personality at all." The Eldest Princess Annie sighed, recollecting her intimate friend as she could not help but lant, "If Alina knew I let her daughter soil her hands with blood and even dispatched royal spies to monitor her, she’d surely be endlessly upset with ..."
Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but pick up the letter from Perfikot again, looking at the elegant handwriting and the worry for the future expressed between the lines, the Eldest Princess Annie couldn’t help but shake her head.
Compared to Perfikot, those nobles of the Empire were truly disappointing.
Even at the front eting, they continued to shirk responsibilities, arguing without resolution for their individual benefits.
If the Empress hadn’t personally lost her temper and denounced their incompetence while urging them to produce the Northern Territory expansion plan that was almost entirely copied from Perfikot’s plan, they probably wouldn’t co up with a viable plan until next year.
Yet even when faced with the Empress personally dealing with three noble families, stripping one of its title, what they presented was still deplorable.
They didn’t even bother to make edits, directly using Perfikot’s plan almost verbatim, rely seeking to exploit her ideas, intending to make her their pawn and tool, so they could directly claim Perfikot’s labor’s fruits.
Although she argued based on reason at the front eting, she still couldn’t secure any benefits for Perfikot, only negotiating a title for Count of Exploration and so verbal promises of benefits.
This made the Eldest Princess Annie quite angry, nearly throwing a white glove at one boisterous speaker at the front eting.
Fortunately, Perfikot didn’t follow their planned path as those insects imagined, nor did Duke Gloucester cater to these imperial parasites, as they reached a new agreent granting Perfikot absolute discourse power in the Northern Territory expansion plan.
Moreover, the Eldest Princess Annie took the opportunity, at Perfikot’s request, to send over the troops once commanded by her grandfather along with so of his old subordinates.
The Eldest Princess Annie was not certain how much influence the Brandlis Clan still had over these troops, given that Perfikot’s father did not serve in the military and Perfikot’s uncle, who did, died prematurely, causing the Brandlis Clan’s military influence to diminish significantly.
Nonetheless, the Seventeenth Guards Division had always maintained a connection with the Brandlis Clan, not only was the current regintal commander still a "Brandlis," but so of Perfikot’s grandfather’s remaining old subordinates still existed.
As long as the Brandlis Clan could rise again, to regain control of this army would not pose a problem.
Regarding whether Perfikot could command this army, although the Eldest Princess Annie was concerned, she still had confidence in Perfikot.
After all, the consistently brilliant performances of this prodigious young girl had never disappointed anyone; she believed Perfikot can resolve these matters.
"Alright, little Perfikot has no problems there, and I can’t let her down either!" The Eldest Princess Annie reviewed Perfikot’s requests ntioned in the letter once more, recorded the contents earnestly, then tidied the two letters and prepared to go out.
The construction order for a Flying Airship issued by Perfikot to the Royal Shipyard before her departure from Langton had now been completed under the shipyard’s three-shift construction schedule, but Perfikot herself had no intention of attending the launch ceremony, so this matter fell to the Eldest Princess Annie.
She and Perfikot’s representatives would attend this airship’s launch ceremony, or rather it should be called an ascent ceremony.
Perfikot didn’t return, partly because she genuinely didn’t have the leisure, and partly because back then, Perfikot had extorted quite a bit from the Royal Shipyard using the na of humanity’s first Flying Airship, and had them rush construction with three shifts.
Consequently, she personally turned around and produced a Flying Airship capable of traveling between the Northern Territory and the Empire’s holand, which undoubtedly dashed the Royal Shipyard’s expectations.
Though considering Perfikot’s current status, reputation, and fa, it was unlikely for the Royal Shipyard to bicker with her over this matter, it still didn’t project a favorable appearance.
Thus, it was understandable why Perfikot didn’t wish to return.
