Now reading: Chapter 197 - 195: Manufacturing the Flying Stone from Extreme Cold Era: Shelter Don't Keep Waste, a Sci-fi novel by Seventeen Kites.

Perfikot was very interested in Imaginary Alchemy, and she quickly began experinting with making Flying Stones according to the knowledge taught to her from the Jade Record.

Because this is essentially an imaginary elent, manufacturing it requires the assistance of the Philosopher’s Stone, which makes having a laboratory and experintal equipnt not so important. After all, if you’re just using your hands, what’s the big difference between doing alchemy with flasks and test tubes on an alchemy table or at the dining table with knives, forks, and plates?

Although an alchemy table and various professional equipnt can effectively increase the success rate of experints, these are secondary in the presence of the Philosopher’s Stone.

Perfikot rely used the Philosopher’s Stone as a base to spontaneously generate the materials needed to make the Flying Stone, and then drew an alchemy ritual array on the dining room floor of the Behemoth. Using the Philosopher’s Stone, she combined several spontaneously created materials, transforming them into a Flying Stone roughly the size of a coin.

It’s a blue crystal, looking like an alternate-colored version of the Philosopher’s Stone, emitting a blue fluorescent glow and floating within the alchemy array in a manner that defies the laws of physics.

Perfikot put away her Golden Touching Rod and then reached out with her right hand towards this imaginary stone that defied the laws of physics.

However, before she could grasp the stone, Claudia suddenly spoke out to stop her, "Miss, could it be dangerous? Let handle it!"

Saying so, Claudia was about to reach out to contact the Flying Stone before Perfikot.

Claudia had no particular thoughts; she was rely executing her protective program instinctively to safeguard Perfikot.

This stone, an unknown and unknown object, could potentially cause accidents or harm with direct contact. As a bodyguard, she should be standing in front of Perfikot at such a ti.

But Perfikot simply waved her hand to signal not to worry and then grasped the Flying Stone with her right hand.

Imdiately, an indescribable feeling of extre lightness radiated from the Flying Stone throughout Perfikot’s body, causing her clothes to begin floating, and she herself experienced a sensation of weightlessness.

Although Perfikot was still standing on the dining room floor of the Behemoth, she could truly feel that with just a light touch of her feet, she could leave the ground, floating into the air.

It was like being imrsed in a swimming pool without wearing a swimming ring, her feet feeling as if on cotton, and with just a little force, she could detach from the ground.

Perfikot thought this way, and acted accordingly; she rely lifted her toes slightly off the ground, and indeed, she floated up as though she could fly.

This scene astonished the crew mbers of the Behemoth and the Knights of the White Bear Order who were watching, they gazed at the floating Perfikot with eyes full of wonder, exclaiming in amazent.

But suddenly, Claudia noticed Perfikot’s dress and quickly shouted at them, "Everyone out! Where’s your gentlemanliness? Are you intending disrespect toward the Count?"

Claudia’s exclamation prompted Major William to react first; he coughed once and imdiately ordered all crew mbers back to their posts as captain, forbidding lingering further.

Similarly, a senior knight of the White Bear Order issued the sa order, directing all knights to the other side of the ship and the dining room.

Seeing everyone leave, Claudia then ca to Perfikot’s side, reaching out to help hold down her already floating dress, concealing its exposure.

"Sorry, I didn’t expect this to happen," Perfikot said a bit embarrassed; she truly hadn’t anticipated her dress would fly up before her.

Moreover, Claudia, who ca to help hold the dress, seed to be affected by the Flying Stone too, as her hair and clothes also had a tendency to float.

Luckily, she was rely standing by Perfikot’s side, and the influence of Perfikot’s Flying Stone seed limited, not enough to lift two people, so Claudia’s body remained firmly grounded, holding onto Perfikot to prevent her from drifting away.

Perfikot looked sowhat troubled at the Flying Stone in her hand and tried to release it.

She could clearly feel that upon releasing her grip, the force keeping her body suspended quickly dissipated, restoring the gravitational pull, bringing her down to the ground.

Since Claudia was beside her for support, Perfikot didn’t fall, but it still left her feeling sowhat lost, even slightly uncomfortable.

This wasn’t psychological; the previous floating also affected her internal organs and the blood within her body, with the short-term gravitational change causing so reaction in her organs, leading to her discomfort.

Yet, Perfikot quickly adjusted herself, then looked at the still-floating Flying Stone, unsure of how to manage it.

This magical imaginary creation was manufactured by her for the first ti, and she was currently clueless about controlling the Flying Stone’s power.

Although the Jade Record provided comprehensive information, Perfikot mainly studied how to craft the Flying Stone before; the aspect of controlling and harnessing it, she had rely glanced over without delving deep.

Now the stone, floating here, genuinely felt sowhat uncontrollable; she needed a way to store it properly instead of leaving it floating.

Otherwise, researching and processing it would be troubleso, which is impractical.

Thankfully, as the Jade Record unfolded new pages, Perfikot’s connection with it deepened, allowing her to directly query the knowledge recorded through the Eye of Omniscience. Thus, she soon discovered the thod to temporarily "turn off" the Flying Stone.

Following the relevant procedure to bring the Flying Stone into an inert state, it quickly lost its luster and dropped to the ground.

Seeing this, Perfikot picked it up and tucked it into her pocket.

"Miss, what is this thing? It seems like it can... fly?" Claudia couldn’t conceal her curiosity, asking Perfikot.

"Flying Stone, an imaginary elent crafted through the Philosopher’s Stone; it makes objects as light as a feather, breaking free from the constraints of gravity. To put it simply, indeed, as you say, it can fly," Perfikot answered Claudia’s question.
