"How did you solve the energy consumption problem? Enlarging magic tools surely increases magic power consumption, doesn’t it?" Perfikot inspected the Godslaying Armor under maintenance, and as she looked at the enormous sword, shield, and spear, she voiced her question.
Although, for her, just a glance with the Eye of Omniscience could reveal the answer, asking the question also showed respect for the researchers.
"We used an energy conversion array and installed a steam core on each piece of equipnt to power the magic array," a Mage explained, appearing sowhat intimidated by Perfikot. "Although there is a ti limit to its use, generally speaking, as long as we store enough steam in advance, it can et basic combat requirents.
Also, generally, such high-level magic tools are only used once or twice on the battlefield; any more would exceed what the tools can endure.
So, after careful consideration, we decided to use the steam core to maintain daily functionality of the magic tools, while the high-pressure gas tank is responsible for storing power. When a powerful capability is needed, the tank instantly releases a large amount of energy to et the demand."
After hearing the explanation, a playful expression appeared on Perfikot’s face.
She had to admit, this answer exceeded her expectations, but she was satisfied, even pleasantly surprised.
Initially, Perfikot thought the Mages would use a less sophisticated or more conservative thod to et her demands. However, constructing a large tool shell and using the magic tool as the core to amplify its power with a magic array was beyond her expectations, yet effective.
During the test, the Godslaying Armor wielded Victor Empire’s enlarged National Guardian Divine Sword, creating a massive sword mark over 200 ters long and several ters deep in the testing ground.
And this was only in normal mode, with power enhanced at least tenfold compared to the original sword.
As for the great power of the Divine Sword itself, Perfikot did not attempt it, partly because such an explosion of power would be too great, and she worried the testing ground could not contain it.
After all, the Godslaying Armor’s test was in the wild but not too far from the city.
Another concern was that such power would damage the enlarged magic tool itself.
"Is this damage based on your estimate, or do you have theoretical data backing it?" Perfikot asked regarding the researchers’ reason. She wasn’t disbelieving, rely inquiring about their rationale.
"The materials can’t withstand energy releases of this scale," a Mage explained to Perfikot: "In testing, we used the sa materials for capacity testing, proving that during high-power releases, our current materials can’t withstand such large-scale energy. After rapid cooling following overheating, they experience cracking, deformation, and a series of issues.
Although it doesn’t lead to damage, the equipnt needs to be recovered for repair and adjustnt before the next high-power release."
"Haven’t you tried developing new materials with Imaginary Alchemy?" Perfikot asked curiously. She believed these Alchemists mastered Imaginary Alchemy; if existing materials couldn’t withstand it, they would develop new ones.
But these Alchemists shook their heads and replied, "We’ve tried, but progress is slow at the mont and may take so ti to develop new materials. During developnt, we had so new ideas, hoping to create a material that ets multiple needs.
This leads us to delay current progress while awaiting the completion of new materials.
We estimate that the new material developnt will take about seven to eight months; until then, the Godslaying Armor can only use weapons made from existing materials."
At this point, another Alchemist hastily added, "We’ll do our best to shorten the work period and research cycle, reducing the ti needed for new material developnt.
Rest assured, existing materials are enough to et all uses of the Godslaying Armor, except for high-power release. Moreover, if needed, the current weapons can release high power, though existing materials can only support it thrice.
To be safe, we recomnd one safe release within limits or a slightly risky two releases since a third would indeed break it."
"Three tis is the limit of the material? I see," Perfikot nodded slightly. If that’s the case, it’s understandable; needing to use a major ability three tis in one battle adds no significant advantage.
A major ability is so called because it can turn the tide, dealing a massive blow that normal attacks can’t.
Reality isn’t a ga with health bars to chip away; if a slash can’t pierce the defense, the second usually can’t either.
But considering sotis one more major ability could turn the battle, Perfikot did request they resolve the issue quickly.
The researchers confidently assured her they would, as the only missing component was material, not an unsolvable technical issue.
With Imaginary Alchemy, in a sense, they just needed to set requirents, and the Alchemists could create sothing from nothing to et those needs.
No matter how outrageous the demand, Imaginary Alchemy can et it; it’s that extraordinary.
However, the developnt speed depends on the Alchemist’s skill. If the Alchemist isn’t very capable, it will take a long ti for trial and error and adjustnts.
Perfikot had no intention of intervening; though she could solve the problem quickly, it wouldn’t help train the team. If she had to handle everything herself, why would she need these people?
In terms of using major abilities in battle, Perfikot, having seen their replica of Gungnir, didn’t see urgent necessity.
