"Hurry up, Sangqiu. We need to enter the city before sunset to visit the noble Perfikot Brandelis. Arriving too late would be quite disrespectful," a knight in antique armor said as he led an emaciated old horse through the streets of Chernobyl.

Behind him, a short, chubby servant was leading a mule carrying their luggage.

"Master Don Quixote, are you sure we won't be kicked out with the way we're going to visit that Count?" The servant looked at his knight master with so concern, finding it hard to imagine that the Lord, who controlled everyone's life and death in the entire Northern Territory, would be willing to et his knight-novel-obsessed master.

"Sangqiu, how can you speak like that? While the Count Brandelis is indeed noble and holds a high position as one of the top figures in the entire Empire, that doesn't give us a reason for self-deprecation," the knight master said. Although he was sowhat consud by knight novels, fantasizing that it's still the age of knights and that he's a wandering knight of justice, he had only a severe case of wishful thinking, not a ntal problem.

He puffed out his equally emaciated chest and knocked on his old antique armor confidently, "I am at least a knight myself, also a mber of the nobility. While the Count may not necessarily have ti to see us, she, as a noble, would certainly give us the treatnt befitting our noble status, rather than tossing us onto the street like those rude folk did before."

Despite his master's confidence, Sangqiu was not so optimistic.

After all, last ti his master said the sa thing, they ended up being thrown onto the street without even getting to the door when visiting a notable noble in that town.

If it weren't for the fact that his master's noble dismissal letter was genuine, indicating his knight title, he surely would have suffered more.

This made Sangqiu very worried because he had heard that the Count Brandelis was not a person with a good temper. If they offended her, it wouldn't be as simple as just being tossed onto the street.

Thinking of this, Sangqiu couldn't help but sigh.

His master, Don Quixote, wasn't a bad person; he just read too many knight novels, such that his head wasn't quite clear.

He always fantasized about being the protagonist of a knight novel, able to travel widely, enforce justice, punish evildoers, and then win the favor of a noble lady, or even a princess, thereby earning land, glory, and fa.

So when the great migration to the Northern Territory ca, he thought his opportunity had arrived. He sold all his property, sohow acquired a Northern Territory knight enfeoffnt scroll, took his only servant Sangqiu with him, planning to wander the Northern Territory to enforce justice.

But in Sangqiu's eyes, ever since he traveled with his master (his master called it an expedition), they've encountered nothing but mishaps.

First, his master mistook an inn for a castle and the innkeeper for a noble, causing all sorts of embarrassing misunderstandings; later, he mistook a train passing on the railway for so kind of roaring monster, mounted his old horse, and foolhardily charged at the train; then he mistook a factory for an evil wizard's lair incarcerating the common folk...

All in all, they had encountered many things on their journey, and if everything were as his master said, it would indeed be a marvelous adventure story.

But in Sangqiu's eyes, his master was rely a madman with a severe case of delusions; on this journey, they had only been making fools of themselves repeatedly.

If his master weren't genuinely a noble and benevolent enough to bring Sangqiu from the Empire holand to the Northern Territory, Sangqiu would've left him long ago.

Instead of following him with an uneasy heart as they stood at the gates of the Lord's manor.

Looking at the several Steam Knights standing guard at the manor gate, and then at his master wearing ragged antique armor, Sangqiu seriously doubted the legitimacy of his master's knight status.

After all, you could tell those were knights at a glance, but his master...

Well, at least his master truly was a knight. Sangqiu thought it better not to speak ill of him behind his back; after all, he was their master and treated him quite well.

Don Quixote reported his intentions to the guards at the manor gate, asserting his noble status as a knight and expressing his hope to et the Lord.

To be honest, the guards had never seen soone like Don Quixote.

He was indeed a knight, and the knight enfeoffnt docunt couldn't be faked.

But in this day and age, how could soone dressed in tattered iron scraps claim to be a knight, fantasizing about upholding justice and roaming the world?

Moreover, looking at him, he hardly seed capable of withstanding the harsh weather. How had he traversed the Northern Territory's cities in just this clunky armor?

With these peculiar thoughts in mind, the guards still reported the matter of Don Quixote to their superior.

After all, this guy looked quite odd; maybe the Lord would consider seeing him.

-----------------

"Miss, there's a sowhat… peculiar guest at the door. Might I ask if you'd like to see them?" The old butler carefully chose his words, tactfully introducing Don Quixote's visit to Perfikot.

Perfikot was at that mont researching how to lock the two different modules of the Floating City together. Hearing the old butler's words, she furrowed her brows slightly, "What kind of guest uses the term 'peculiar,' grandpa Fu?

If it's just a common visitor, you can turn them away for , or use a stand-in puppet if necessary. I don't have the leisure to et any 'peculiar guest' at the mont."

"Miss, if I may, I think it best you et them. Though this guest appears to be a poverty-stricken knight, with too much of a fondness for knight novels, the fact that he can traverse the Northern wilderness in this harsh climate wearing only old-style knight armor and accompanied by a servant is enough to warrant your attention," the old butler remarked in awe at Don Quixote's feat, noting that even with his current abilities, he wouldn't dare to venture through the Northern wilds dressed in just an old iron suit.

Hearing the old butler's introduction piqued Perfikot's interest, raising her eyebrows in intrigue at the situation described.

So she asked, "What is the na of this peculiar guest?"

"He is nad Don Quixote," the old butler revealed, successfully widening Perfikot's eyes in surprise.
