China holds the Netherlands to a stunning draw!

Group B has descended into absolute chaos.

The already ssy group suddenly looked even deadlier, and the defending champions might not even make it out of the group stage.

On the second day of the World Cup, the skies over Porto Alegre belonged to the n in red. China's dramatic draw against the Netherlands instantly beca the headline of the round.

Before this matchday, most people were convinced Group B's qualification picture was already set in stone. The Netherlands were supposed to breeze through with three straight wins.

But after the second round? Everything flipped.

With the draw, China and the Netherlands now sit on four points each, holding first and second place respectively.

anwhile, Spain and Chile also battled to a draw, keeping both sides alive. If Chile manages to beat the Netherlands, and Spain defeats China in the final round…

All four teams in Group B would finish with one win, one draw, and one loss—a scenario as ssy as it is historic.

Based on the performances so far, predicting who advances is nearly impossible.

Anyone could go through. Anyone could crash out.

And in Group D, the madness has been just as wild.

Uruguay, Costa Rica, Italy, and England round out another brutal group.

In the opening matches, Costa Rica stunned Uruguay, while Italy took down England.

Then in the second round, Uruguay beat England, and Costa Rica defeated Italy again.

After two rounds, Italy and England—two traditional European giants—are staring at a real possibility of exiting in the group stage. No one saw that coming.

Uruguay seed dood early on, but Costa Rica's breakout completely overturned the balance of the group. Compared with the more stable progress seen in other groups, Groups B and D have been nothing short of chaotic.

Fans have already started calling them two of the most unpredictable groups in World Cup history.

Beyond the results, the other major talking point has been the controversial penalty awarded in the China–Netherlands match.

Every World Cup has its share of questionable calls, but this one sparked particularly intense debate.

China looked monts away from defeating a European powerhouse—an upset for the ages.

Then ca the whistle.

The Netherlands converted the penalty, salvaging a result and denying China a historic win.

Chinese fans were furious, imdiately demanding an explanation from the organizers.

The Chinese Football Association has officially submitted an appeal to FIFA.

So far, FIFA has remained silent.

Although the players were disappointed—knowing they had been so close to victory—the draw wasn't a disaster. After all, the Netherlands remains one of the strongest sides in the tournant.

The coaching staff quickly shifted the focus away from the controversy, stabilizing the squad's ntality and preparing for the decisive third match.

For China, the first two rounds have been full of surprises.

This is the closest they have ever co to reaching the knockout stage of a World Cup.

If they perform well in the final match, their chances of advancing are genuinely high.

As for individual players, the four nas dominating conversations this World Cup are Neymar, Klose, Jas Rodríguez, and Le Kai.

Neymar, wearing Brazil's iconic No. 10 shirt on ho soil, has been drawing global attention.

Klose is on the brink of breaking Ronaldo Nazario's all-ti scoring record, making him one of the biggest storylines of the tournant.

Jas Rodríguez has co out of nowhere to beco the tournant's brightest breakout star, attracting interest from elite European clubs—Real Madrid included.

And then there's Kai.

As a Premier League–winning midfielder, Kai already carried a reputation in Europe.

But his brilliant performances for China have launched him to an entirely new level of recognition.

Across China's two matches, Kai has been the backbone of the team. His work on both ends of the pitch has been exceptional—calm on the ball, sharp in transition, and relentless defensively.

Even among top defensive midfielders, Kai is right up there with the best.

The problem? That position is already occupied at his club.

As Arsenal's captain, Kai is absolutely untouchable on the transfer market.

England's national team may be struggling, but Arsenal fans have taken pride in watching their captain shine on the world stage. Even if their own country faltered, their club's leader delivered performances worthy of global praise.

So Arsenal fans, however, had their imagination running wild. Imagining pairing him with Gerrard, Lampard, or Henderson. Any of those combinations would look formidable.

But of course… that's only wishful thinking.

During this period, offers for Kai kept pouring in.

Most of the news naturally reached Wenger, who was stationed in Brazil for the World Cup.

But Wenger's response was sothing no club wanted to hear.

"Unless I quit and let coach Kai at your club," he said bluntly.

His stance couldn't be clearer—Wenger had no intention of letting Kai leave Arsenal.

It was one of the rare monts when Arsenal showed such firm resolve.

Then again, it wasn't hard to understand. Kai wasn't just a key player; he was the backbone and leader of three generations of Gunners.

Arsenal could sell anyone. But not Kai.

"People keep trying to put a price tag on Kai," Wenger said, leaning back in his chair. "But for Arsenal, he's priceless."

Pat Rice shrugged. "Can't really bla them. From last season to this World Cup, Kai's gone from promising to dominant. At twenty-one, he's already playing like the core of a top team. Clubs can't resist the temptation."

Wenger's lips curled into a faint smile.

Every ti another bid arrived, beneath the irritation, he felt a small surge of pride.

Look at him, he thought. This player you're all dreaming about is ours—and I'm not letting him go.

You can stare all you want. But you're not getting a taste.

Wenger pushed himself up from his seat. "Co on. We should get going."

Pat lifted a brow. "Not planning to wait any longer?"

"We've pushed it far enough," Wenger replied. "And so people are already getting impatient."

The two walked out of the hotel and stepped into a waiting taxi that eased into traffic.

Inside a quiet private room of a tucked-away café in Brazil, Wenger smiled at the man across from him.

"Long ti no see, Jorge."

The man, wearing a patterned vacation shirt and slicked-back hair, looked relaxed and very much off duty.

It was none other than Jorge ndes—one of football's most influential agents.

"I'm supposed to be on vacation," ndes chuckled. "I've rejected everyone else. But you, Arsène… you're worth sacrificing a day for."

Wenger's eyes crinkled in amusent. "Then I'll take that as an honor."

ndes raised his cup in a casual salute. "On the contrary, the honor's mine."

Wenger leaned forward slightly. "If you're planning on enjoying a quiet vacation, now's probably not the best ti. You should be moving."

ndes let out a soft laugh. "I have no idea what you're implying."

Wenger didn't hesitate. "Ancelotti wants the Colombian at Real Madrid. And when he arrives, soone from your group loses his place."

ndes narrowed his eyes. "Cristiano? I doubt Madrid would ever push him aside."

"You know I'm not talking about him," Wenger said calmly. "I an the Argentine."

ndes lowered his head, fingers tracing the rim of his cup. He thought for a mont before saying, "Manchester United reached out to us earlier."

Wenger nodded lightly. "Did you accept?"

ndes shook his head. "No. United isn't an ideal choice right now."

"So you've been waiting for a better option," Wenger said. "Which is why I'm here… isn't it?"

ndes hesitated. Then he spoke carefully: "No disrespect, Arsène, but Angel wants a team capable of winning the Champions League."

Wenger t his eyes. "And why wouldn't that team be Arsenal?"

For a mont, ndes had no answer.

Why not Arsenal?

Because they tended to fall short in Europe?

Because the last ti they reached a Champions League final was ages ago and ended in heartbreak?

Because people still doubted their pedigree?

But none of those excuses sounded convincing anymore.

Wenger continued, "I understand your concerns. But look at this Arsenal squad now. We're not the sa club we were years ago. And we have the funds to bring Di María in with full ceremony."

He paused, then smiled knowingly.

"And rember—he wouldn't be pushed out. He'd be choosing to leave Madrid on his own terms."
