The Tear Grass was a long blade of dark-green grass.
The Tear Grass appearance was very unique, it actually has two blades of grass fitted together as if it was the head of a screwdriver.
Roland observed the Tear Grass carefully and upon a closer look, he realized that above each blade that was on the form of screw's head, there was actually a liquid-like substance stuck into it.
According to the author of the website he read earlier, this liquid-like substance was called the 'tear'. It was also the main reason why the Tear Grass could make people shed tears just by being around them.
Once the 'tear' was vaporized, it would create an effect like that of a tear gas used by the ard officials.
One or ten Tear Grass that constantly had their 'tears' vaporized doesn't actually affect their surroundings that much except in a close room where the vapors were sealed.
However, Tear Island was full of Tear Grass.
After a long ti of accumulation, it already has the effect of making those who set foot on it shed a bucket of tears the mont they arrive at the island.
Culling them was also not possible as they were like pests that would grow again after a few days even if you pulled them to their root. What was more alarming about this grass was that you would not be able to block its effect even if you wear a tightly sealed mask.
Roland stared at the Tear Grass with curiosity. This was the first ti that he had heard of such a magical grass.
If not for the fact that Stacey experienced this grass' effect firsthand, Roland would have not even believed that sothing like this existed.
At the sa ti, Roland frowned at this troubleso matter.
If it could not be culled and if it could not be blocked, then this only ans that Tear Island would not beco the island resort that he and Stacey dread of.
Roland now understood why the governnt was willing to sell this island. It turns out that it was just a complete waste of ti trying to develop it.
Roland dropped the Tear Grass he pulled on the ground as he began to look around.
Although he was not affected by the Tear Grass' effects, Roland could more or less confirm that its magical properties should probably be true.
True to what the author of the website has stated, the island was truly full of Tear Grass.
Everywhere he looked and went, a Tear Grass would always present itself on his eyes.
Heck, the only place they have not invaded were the sand and stones that was near the sea.
The island was basically infested with Tear Grass.
Roland shook his head as he looked at the Tear Grass' around him. However, Roland was actually not that worried about this problem.
The author of the website stated and even the entire governnt could do nothing against this blade of grass. However, Roland was different from them, entirely so.
Fiddling with the blade of tear grass in his hands, Roland accessed the Face-Slapping Store to buy the knowledge regarding all kinds of plants.
After scrolling for a bit, Roland finally bought the Level 1 Botanist Knowledge for 10 Face-Slapping Points.
All information regarding plants imdiately poured like a waterfall inside his brain. However, Roland already has a Level 2 soul and this kind of knowledge downpour only made him feel as if he was experiencing a sudden breeze.
After a minute, the downpour of knowledge finally stopped. At this mont, Roland was already considered to be one of the best Botanists in the BluePink Planet.
Roland quickly scanned through the knowledge and searched for the information regarding the Tear Grass plant.
He closed his eyes and images and descriptions of plants imdiately appeared inside his head as if it was on playback.
However, a few minutes had already passed but Roland had still not found the Tear Grass' information, it stayed the sa even after scanning all the knowledge that was provided by the Level 1 Botanist Knowledge.
"What's going on?" Roland asked himself in bewildernt.
He tried scanning inside his mind once again, as he might have skipped sothing while skimming through earlier.
This ti, Roland scanned the knowledge slowly. However, a few minutes had passed once again and Roland was already at the end of the list. Information regarding the Tear Grass was still nowhere in sight, except for so superficial knowledge that he already knew from the author's website.
"Could it be that it's not in the Botanist Knowledge?" Roland said as he went to the System store again to search for any knowledge or even skills that could help him in his current predicant.
However, after so careful consideration, Roland thought that the 'Botanist' should be right. The System's description about the knowledge was few but concise. Roland trusted the System fully regarding this matter.
[Level 1 Botanist Knowledge: Contains a massive amount of knowledge of all kinds of mortal plants.]
As Roland read the description and the na of the knowledge again, he could not help but notice the 'level 1' and the 'mortal' words.
'Could it be that the reason why I could not find it was because the Tear Grass was not in the Level 1 Knowledge but at Level 2, or possibly higher?' Roland thought.
'And what's with this 'mortal' anyways, could it be that there are indeed immortal people living in the world right now?'
Considering that there was the System that was helping him behind the scenes, Roland did not disregard the idea of there being immortal people in the world.
It was not outside of the realms of possibility and after upgrading to Level 2 Physique, Roland could also vaguely tell that he has already surpassed the human limits and that his strength was gradually approaching those only spoken in the legends.
As these were still outside of his reach for now, Roland decided to focus his mind on the matter at hand first.
He turned to the System shop again and looked at the price of the Level 2 Botanist Knowledge. The mont his eyes landed on the price, he could not help but 'hiss' in shock.
To think that it was actually priced at 50 FS Points, how expensive was that compared to the previous level which was only 10 FS Points?
In the end, Roland could only grit his teeth as he reluctantly bought the said knowledge for 50 FS Points. His hard earned Face-Slapping Points went down to 13640 again after he bought the level 2 knowledge.
The next mont, another batch of plant knowledge surged towards his brain yet again. Unlike the previous one where Roland only felt a breeze, this ti, his head actually turned a little dizzy the mont the plant's knowledge entered his brain.
Roland closed his eyes to resist the feeling as he absorbed the knowledge.
It was only after ten minutes that the onslaught of plant knowledge finally stopped. Roland massaged his temple to ease the uncomfortable feeling brought by the onslaught of knowledge.
When Roland only has a level 1 soul and physique, the Level 2 Knowledge and Skills were actually grayed out because they were unavailable for him to purchase.
At that ti, Roland was wondering why it was made that way. However, only now did he realize the real reason why the level 2 items were locked when he was still at level 1.
If he did not have a level 2 soul and he acquired the Level 2 Botanist Knowledge, Roland knew that his mind would not be able to endure the vast knowledge it contained and he might sprawl over to the ground aching in pain.
Just the thought of that made Roland shiver in fear. He hurriedly thanked the System for its consideration as he began to scan the knowledge that he just obtained.
As he 'skimd' through the knowledge, Roland could not help but notice that there were a lot of plants with magical properties and plants that seed like they only existed in a fantasy novel.
There was fruit that can cure fatigue in an instant if eaten, there was a plant that could heal minor wounds in an instant and there was even a plant that could imdiately close a person's severed arm to prevent blood loss.
If not for the fact that the knowledge has co from the System, Roland would have not believed that such plants actually existed at all.
At the sa ti, Roland also concluded to himself that the chance of there being an immortal, and those stronger than him physically existed was very high.
This just gives Roland another reason not to underestimate just anyone. Who knows if the person he offended was actually a hidden immortal trying to experience a mortal's life?
On the other hand, although Roland was kind of worried about eting people like them, he was actually also secretly hoping that he would et one in the future.
If the previous Roland were to hear Roland's ridiculous thoughts right now, it would be amusing to see what kind of reaction he would give.
As the excitent of eting immortals intensified, Roland continued to search for the knowledge and information of the Tear Grass.
After a few minutes, Roland's thought finally landed on a particular familiar grass.
The Tear Grass imdiately ca into view as Roland began to understand its magical properties one by one.
Looking at the Tear Grass descriptions, Roland could not help but widen his mouth in shock of what he just read.
It turns out that Tear Grass was not a simple grass that just sprouted out of thin air because they like it.
