Face-Slapping System Chapter 183 Start Anew

Fred raised his hand respectfully as Alfred was about to explain the situation to Roland.

"Uhm, wouldn't it be better if we discuss this in the eting room?"

Right now, they were still in front of the door, it would be inappropriate to continue discussing important matters here, right?

Roland and Alfred nodded at the sa ti, thinking that it was indeed right to discuss these matters in an important place. Besides, Alfred also wanted to discuss the future of the company with Roland anyways.

After the decision was made, all of them went to the eting room where Fred and the others were earlier.

At this mont, all the people in this room were considered the bigshots of Protect Life Security Company.

Benjamin and Gonzalo were both captains in the Fore City branch. They could be considered as Fred's right and left hand when it cos to authority in this branch.

Protect Life Security Company was considered a big security company. At the Fore City branch alone, there were already a total of fifty n, with ten people on every squad led by a single captain or the chief.

Gonzalo and Benjamin were one of the ten captains of the Fore City branch. The two of them were previously assigned at the Sea Anemone District, but after that incident, both of them were withdrawn as the managent of the district doesn't consider the company as safe to work with anymore.

Speaking of that incident or crisis, Alfred finally started to narrate the whole situation to the clueless Roland.

"The company is in grave danger right at this mont..."

After a whole thirty minutes of speaking, Alfred finally paused and said, "So, that's what happened, before the company was bought by Mr. Roland, here!"

Roland nodded his head with a frown. After hearing the whole situation, even he himself can say that the company was indeed in dire straits.

Apparently, a week ago, a group of online hackers managed to breach the defense of Protect Life Security Company' website and database.

Aside from defacing the website, the group of hackers also managed to get all their important files of their clients and leak it online including the supposedly private contract. What caused even more major damage was the fact that they deleted most of the company's important files, causing irreversible damage to the company.

After the incident, the Protect Life Security Company still tried to salvage the situation, however, it was to no avail as their custors started withdrawing one by one.

After seeing that, the board of directors imdiately moved their shares and decided to sell it online for a cheaper price to at least get sothing in return before the company completely fails.

Even the four branch managers were not aware of this matter yet. They only knew the surface, and not the real dire situation that the company was truly in.

At this mont, the company could be said to be a bird without any feathers. It was still a bird, but it could no longer fly without its feathers.

The news of their security being weak, was spread online. Their good reputable reputation that was built for years could be said to have crumbled after that incident. Of the four branches and the main one, only a handful of their custors remained. Even the Sea Anemone District's Managent decided to withdraw from their services.

Now, the company was truly in dire straits. Fred and Cred had gloomy expressions on their faces as they heard the real situation. Heck, even Benjamin also realized the seriousness of the situation.

Now, the important question was, would their new owner, Roland, solve the company's problem, or will he ultimately disband it and save so money before everything was too late?

Even Gonzalo was looking at Roland with a hopeful expression.

For all of them, they preferred the company to be saved. After all, they had already grown old working for the company, it would be quite uncomfortable to work for another at this point of their life. It could be said that the company has grown along with them and they were naturally unwilling to part with it just like that. These feelings were especially true for Fred and Alfred.

The eting room was silent, each person was having their own thoughts regarding the matter.

The silence was broken when an impatient Alfred decided to ask the most important question, "So? What do you think Mr. Roland, what should be our next move?"

A tense atmosphere rose around the room as they waited for his decision.

Alfred has already confird the authenticity of him owning the company earlier. There was no doubt that the company's future would be decided by Roland's next words.

Now, the question was whether he would continue it or wait for its eventual demise. No matter what Roland's decision was, none of them would be able to do anything about it. After all, he was the owner, and Alfred was the only one who had the remaining 5% share that Roland has not bought yet.

After a mont of silence, Roland finally looked up and smiled, "Of course, we'll revive the company and even surpass its past glories!"

An aura of confidence oozes out of his body. Everyone unconsciously thought that what he said, although vague, might truly co true in the future.

This was an effect bought by his level 3 soul unconsciously influencing the other people around them. They could not help but he swept along with his montum of confidence.

"By that... what do you an?" Alfred asked.

Roland smiled and answered almost imdiately, "Simple, we will build the company again from scratch. Our reputation was crushed? Let's just build it up from the ground then. We have no more custors? Let's find one first then. Little by little, let's build an empire together!"

Alfred looked at Roland with a bit of uncertainty in his eyes. What Roland said was indeed plausible, however, this required imnse effort and this could not be achieved in a short period of ti.

Can Roland, the new owner, truly pull this off and be victorious?

At this mont, Alfred was only a little hopeful. Guessing from the previous interactions, he could sohow tell that Roland was kind of spoiled since young. If he was anything capable, he would surely not try to buy the declining company at all.

Benjamin, Fred, and Gonzalo on the other hand still had so kind of confidence in their heart. It was a wonder if it was due to their past 'experiences' with him, but they sohow felt that he would be able to pull this off as well.

"Mr. Roland, I don't think it's as simple as that.." the doubtful Alfred said.

However, Roland rely smiled as he answered, "I don't know. But for now, let's start by changing the company's na as we start anew."

The reason why Roland was confident about this was because the System has already gave him a hint even before he knew of the company's situation.

On the note it provided, the System ntioned that he could change the na of the security company on the website. However, as he could not think of any na and the fact that he still wanted to et the company's employees first before deciding where he would change the na or not, Roland has been postponing the situation until now.

And it looks like his decision was indeed right. Who would've thought that he would truly need to change the company's na?

Alfred and the others didn't know what was the need for the na change, however, it was the owner's decision, so they could do nothing about it other than to follow it.

Fred and Alfred actually had so misgivings to this abrupt decision. After all, changing the brand of their 'product' could be considered to be the sa as renaming their child.

Roland saw through their emotions and decided to explain.

"This is the only thing we can do to revive the company for now. If the na and the reputation is already ruined, why don't we create a new one and build another reputation from the start? Surely, this is logical right?" He asked as he looked at the people in front of him.

After a while, they finally nodded their heads as if to agree with Roland's decision. Roland also smiled seeing their response.

"Now that everyone of you agrees, how about we think of the company's new na? Co on, give so suggestions," he smiled as he waited for their response.

On the other hand, a serious expression appeared on everyone's face.

None of them think that Roland would want their opinion on this matter after all.

They looked at each other first, as if to confirm that they had indeed heard the sa thing. It was only when they confird Roland's words that one of them finally decided to give a suggestion.
