Gustav looked at Roland with a scrutinizing gaze. He knew Roland's situation more than anyone else.
He knew how poor the kid was so knowing him being able to buy an expensive phone like this, he could not but feel suspicious.
"Did you go to the dark side?" Gustav said with an apologetic tone.
He suspected him of selling drugs or he might be doing sothing illegal.
After all, the only way to quick riches was to win in a lotto or do illegal and dangerous activities. He has not heard of any person winning the lotto these past few days so it could only be the latter.
If what he claid was indeed true, then he was partly to bla for Roland ending up that way as he was the one who fired Roland and even left him to fend on his own.
Hearing what Gustav claid, Roland could not help but be taken aback in surprise. Even Stacey at the side could not help but giggle. After all, she 'knew' that Roland was actually rich and was only pretending to be poor before.
"What? No, it's not sothing like that. Actually, I got adopted by a rich mysterious person a few days ago and now he wants to inherit his wealth so I'm now living extrely well," Roland lied with a straight face.
