Chapter 1071: Chapter 1069: Bronze Labyrinth (Part 1) Chapter 1071: Chapter 1069: Bronze Labyrinth (Part 1) “Hmph, in the whole of Lincheng, anything that Fu Mou has set his sights on has yet to escape from the palm of my hand.”

From within the dim room, ripples of cold laughter erged.

Sitting leisurely on the living room sofa, Fu Qian exuded a look of complete dominance, and what he held in his hand was a bronze Human Face Helt.

This setup, combined with his dialogue, really encapsulated the essence of an adolescent fantasy.

It wasn’t intentionally done to create an atmosphere by not turning on the lights, mainly due to the poor light-blocking curtains in the living room.

If the shape of a human head were to be illuminated by light and accidentally caught sight of, it might frighten a bunch of elders who stay up late at night.

In short, after establishing a reputation as a long-term patient turned physician and a dedicated psychological consultant among his friends, Fu Qian bid farewell to the deeply touched youths and declined their offers to escort him, choosing to head ho alone.

The reason for his refusal was simple.

“My patient also ca here alone.”

After pointing this out regarding Lady Cecilia, no one insisted further.

This was an irrefutable fact, and even though Fu’s thoughts might be a bit unconventional, Lady Cecilia too didn’t seem quite normal.

Having carried the box ho this way, and reconfirming there was no particular danger, Fu Qian decided to handle it imdiately.

No wonder so many people say that art is abstract.

As a top-tier art connoisseur, Fu Qian, holding the “Bronze Lady” in his hand, adopted a solemn posture to break through the surface and multifacetedly explored the intrinsic qualities of this artwork.

He eventually concluded that the human anatomy featured on it indeed originated from a person, and a young woman at that.

As for whether it’s related to the Na, that remained uncertain.

“It seems that wearing it is necessary for it to take effect.”

After making observations, Fu Qian murmured to himself.

Just as suspected, though he held it in his hands and knew it was an Extraordinary Item, he could not hear the murmurs from before.

The next mont, he did not hesitate to adjust the helt’s position and slowly placed it on his head.

The sll wasn’t as bad as imagined; the structure, once pieced together, appeared to have undergone so special treatnt.

Imdiately, Fu Qian arrived at the sa conclusion as Lady Cecilia.

A mont later, a voice surged towards him, albeit different from the previous one.

The strange murmurs seed to be stretching themselves and recombining in the echo.

After a brief tumult, a peculiar sensation spread, and the helt began to squirm like a living creature, gradually enveloping every inch of skin on his head.

Simultaneously, the viscous flesh even ford an unimaginable barrier, turning everything outside vague.

Being unable to breathe was one thing; if it wasn’t for his status before becoming a Demigod, he might have completely lost any sense of the outside world by now.

Fu Qian silently made a judgnt, did not attempt to remove the helt, but instead sat up a bit to avoid dirtying his sofa with the expanding mass of flesh.

Roughly half a minute later, the expansion finally halted, and Fu Qian could feel as though there was a fifty-pound raw atball on his head.

At that mont, the murmurs had transford into rhythmic sobbing.

It seed he had overthought before.

It didn’t need any action from him; just by wearing it, such changes occurred, suggesting the sound might rely be a protective chanism.

Only when a Transcendent being stuck their head inside would it resonate, leading to subsequent transformations.

While silently making judgnts, Fu Qian focused his thoughts on the crying sounds.

“They fell off… grow another…”

The next mont, the sa person evident in the sobbing let out a sowhat distracted mutter among them.

Simultaneously, a glimr of light appeared in the darkness.

What is this… a guillotine?

As the light engulfed everything in front of him and his vision restored in an instant, Fu Qian found himself in a desolate courtyard.

Straight ahead, on a square platform, he saw three kneeling bronze statues.

Without exception, all were headless, resembling condemned prisoners refusing to fall after decapitation.

But upon closer inspection, there lay the grotesque detail.

The statues were covered in what seed like rotten clothes put on afterward, with complex, intricate designs and hoop skirts outlines discernible.

These did not resemble condemned prisoners waiting for execution but rather a group of courtly ladies.

Yet, simultaneously, the exposed arms were as shriveled as chicken claws, even missing a number of fingers, not fitting the typical image of courtly ladies.

This doesn’t seem like a guillotine; it’s more like a live-head station!

Fu Qian’s gaze finally settled on one of the necklines below the statues, where the sunken chest entirely mismatched with the clothes prompted a silent speculation.

These statues might just be the origin of the helt in his hands.

Certainly, although the color was very similar, these three statues, like the Bronze Lady, were evidently of a bizarre material.

And if all were ford from living beings, the deformities found on the bodies could be understood.

The earlier phrase “They fell off… grow another” likely referred to the heads.

Due to temporarily unknown reasons, their heads fell off, then the bodily tissues surged up, attempting to grow another?

Although it wasn’t realistic, it was sowhat abstract.

Indeed, Fu Qian was certain he was experiencing an effect akin to the Clear Dream Ring.

His real body remained seated on the living room sofa, with everything before him rely an illusion.

And if he wished, he could remove the helt at any ti, interrupting it all.

Of course, there was no reason to do so.

Lady Cecilia had brought it from afar, successfully discovered this place accessible only to Transcendents, perhaps even to Transcendents of certain strength.

In general, shouldn’t there be so Transcendent secrets to be discovered by the destined ones?

Or there could also be so lethal traps awaiting the destined ones.

With high hopes for this journey and an ever-burning curiosity, Fu Qian proceeded up the stairs step by step until he stood on the stone platform ahead.

Almost simultaneously, a stunning scene unfolded on the other side of the platform.

Hundreds of statues densely packed in a courtyard-style corridor, all kneeling in the sa direction.

Although they no longer had faces.

And at a glance, they resembled the three here, with deford limbs and extravagant dresses.

Such a familiar scene!

Fu Qian sighed.

During the encounter with Su Gao and others in the Old City, the hall filled with soft-bodied creatures almost shared the sa deanor.

Could it be that where their gaze directed, there exists an Evil God or its offspring?
