Chapter 1114: Chapter 112: Visitor

I now understand why the ancient Divine Beings despised “oaths”—it truly is a path of desecration.

Not only does it desecrate believers, but even the Divine Beings themselves.

Of course, seeing as how they later emulated the very actions they despised, this thod proved to be more convenient and efficient than faith.

It involves accommodating a tool, then using one’s own authority to define concepts and collect, thus repairing oneself.

All the oaths I’ve encountered so far follow this routine.

As for the Dragon King, from the puzzle on the ground, it seems that the concept he accommodates in his tool is likely “Scales.”

Everyone within His blessing who takes the posture of grasping their own three umbilical cords is encompassed by His concept of scales.

Not only filling what is lacking, but the more tools amassed, the more dazzling it becos—a truly brilliant idea.

Of course, this does not change His current awkward predicant.

Barely surviving, such that He only has one opportunity to act each year; and after finally managing an instruntal person, it turns out to be a top-notch double-crosser.

Even the attempt to clear house was blocked, utterly stifling to the extre.

If He had known there would be such a day, who knows if He would have deigned to descend to the mortal realm and conduct these hidden operations.

Moreover, there’s another issue: this year the attempts to prevent the Dragon King’s return were perfectly successful, but what about next year?

Without the troublemaker, it seems not difficult for Him to develop more instruntal people; could it be that another visit will be necessary then?

Hopefully, the warehouse has this under control, not wanting to engage in such tedious tasks.

As the prompt appeared, Fu Qian rolled down his sleeves, picking up another weapon and a Bronze Headband from the table before him, and then putting on the ssenger.

Watching the sunrise then the sunset does bring a distinct flavor.

Unsurprisingly appearing inside the Research Tower, Fu Qian looked outside through a small window.

I rember that it was midnight when I last left, and this ti, taking leave from ho did take so effort.

But the harvest has been worthwhile.

And it would be even more perfect if Miss Liushuang could offer more surprises.

Weighing the Bronze Headband in hand, Fu Qian optimistically placed it on his head again.

The code was still scrambled, showing no changes by shifting to this world.

Of course, this doesn’t an there were no anomalies.

After observing the celestial phenona while wearing the headband, Fu Qian concluded—either his sense of direction was reversed, or the splendid spectacle outside was not a sunset but a sunrise.

Previous extensive traveling experiences had confird that ti on both sides was consistent, so theoretically, this shouldn’t happen.

What’s the reason?

As a professional, Fu Qian is not adept at doubting himself, so the conclusion was simple—the world was wrong.

Alright, the first step of deduction is perfectly complete. So onto the second question— who caused the world to go awry?

Finally standing up, Fu Qian did not rush to antagonize the whole world or even bother to go downstairs to check the door; instead, he continued up the stairs beside him.

Speaking of which, since owning this special laboratory, this is the first ti he climbed to such a height.

Spacious yet unable to hide its magnificence, the solemn atmosphere it exuded seed to evoke images of sternly dressed ancient scholars, furrowing their brows in deep thought.

And in the crisp sound of stone steps, Fu Qian finally reached the top of the Research Tower.

The amber-colored spire that looked impressive from the outside was no longer translucently luxurious at this mont, appearing pale as wax at a glance.

Mysteriously oppressive.

Even the gold decorations around it had dimd.

“Indeed, it’s not an ordinary laboratory.”

Muttering to himself, Fu Qian’s gaze fell on the spire side, where a golden pattern with a special aesthetic gathered into a dial, reminiscent of the Star Watchtower he had just seen.

Both even seed broken.

The pointer in front of him was clearly changing its angle, but the pendulum connected to the dial was not moving.

However, if there was nothing wrong with the pointer’s timing, it seed that it was indeed the sunrise outside.

After observing briefly, Fu Qian thought and directly fiddled with the pointer in front of him.

As he did so, the angle of light entering through a nearby window was also rapidly changing.

At a certain mont, his hand felt heavier, and the pendulum below suddenly started moving without any warning.

Fu Qian released his hand, and everything around him seed to gradually regain its gloss, with light swiftly re-entering through the spire.

It seems it’s not the world that’s reversed, but ti.

Silently arriving at a conclusion, the next mont Fu Qian snorted coldly, adjusting the Bronze Headband on his head.

“I’d like to see who dares to tamper with my belongings!”

Not staying long at the top, Fu Qian quickly strolled downstairs and finally sat waiting in a direction away from the front door.

As it turns out, the impolite person did not act impolitely again.

Within monts, a rhythmic knocking sounded.

“Co in.”

Fu Qian did not turn his head, casually calling out.

And hearing his voice, the person outside seed to hesitate for a bit, but a few seconds later, the door was firmly pushed open.

Only then did Fu Qian turn his head to see two figures entering one after the other.

Walking in front, Miss Liushuang seed sowhat startled by his appearance, her initially maintained composure showing a slight fluctuation.

“Faster than you ntioned in your letter.”

Fu Qian felt no embarrassnt, nodding slightly towards her.

“I rushed the ti a bit.”

This remark seed to relax Ji Liushuang, who stared straight at Fu Qian’s face, and then she smiled warmly.

“I thought I might not see you this ti.”

…Are you not here as a volunteer? What kind of attitude is this, looking like you’ve known each other for ages!

Observing the interaction between the two, especially Ji Liushuang’s expression when saying this, Professor Lisa, who was originally watching the drama unfold, almost couldn’t help but shout out.

“Almost didn’t make it, but sotis things work out in such wonderful ways.”

Fu Qian nodded, gesturing for Ji Liushuang to sit and glanced at her shoulder, which had once been shattered by his Air Bullet.

“A close call?”

“Just so.”

This simple show of concern brought an even brighter smile to Ji Liushuang, mainly for the honesty it represented.

“How co Professor Lisa brought you here? Got the wrong address?”

Only then did Fu Qian seem to rember the Giant Serpent girl beside them, nodding again as a greeting.

“I ca here on my own this morning.”

Ji Liushuang smiled, shaking her head.

“Earlier, Professor Lisa ca looking for you, and when she found you weren’t here, she asked if I was interested in visiting her place.”
