Chapter 1280: Chapter 1278: Loss of Image (22)

A seasoned doctor must absolutely abstain from the bad habit of making assumptions.

All conclusions must be based on reliable examination results.

Orintel was not naive enough to believe that cutting off one’s legs would solve everything. Clearly, he had a ticulous side—though not much of it.

Fu Qian had rarely overlooked the changes in Jane after undergoing Orintel’s treatnt.

The first thing that drew attention was the charred ash scattered everywhere. Unlike the fragnts of the nightgown, they did not disperse and fall.

From the earlier conclusion that clothing, as a part of the whole, was still subject to the command, it was easy to deduce that the ash was still governed by the command.

Therefore, this ti-reversal effect wasn’t too surprising.

Overall, the effects of the command seed as stable as ever. Orintel’s treatnt had proven ineffective.

As for adverse effects, perception wasn’t sensitive to the command. Fu Qian perford a few basic tests.

One of the tests involved trying to move closer.

The results showed that the symptoms were significant.

Fu Qian quickly realized that the movent speed had been capped.

Like the length of a dream.

“It seems I’ve inadvertently triggered it… How did this happen…”

As previously ntioned, although Orintel wasn’t particularly sharp, he was at least willing to be guided.

Under Fu Qian’s prompt, he stared at his slowly regenerating legs, took two steps forward, and decisively reached a conclusion—then allowed himself to shut down again.

“According to your diagnostic logic, the contamination is too severe. rely purifying the most corrupted parts is no longer effective.”

Though he held the upper hand, Fu Qian maintained the deanor of a primary physician, respecting Orintel’s turn and making an inference based on his approach.

Of course, the implication behind this inference was excessively pessimistic, which instantly thrilled a certain family tutor.

“You’re saying I’ve been too conservative and need to purify it completely?”

As the one being respected, Orintel didn’t appear particularly pleased. He glared coldly at Fu Qian.

“It doesn’t have to be that extre—gradual progression is an option.”

Adhering to rigor, Fu Qian proposed a more rational suggestion.

“Heh… You’re right. Things should follow a sequence.”

Surprisingly, Orintel seed agreeable to reason.

But in the next mont, from his left and right hands, two Lead Fla Pythons began to slowly slither out, their molten reflections making Natalie’s eyes shine even more brightly.

Yet a mont later, her brightness dimd slightly—for the two serpentine heads were ultimately aid at Fu Qian.

“Did you think I would leave such a dangerous elent here and give you the chance to escape?”

Orintel’s icy voice reverberated.

“If complete purification is unavoidable, I’d rather give Jane a bit more ti and let her witness the downfall of the true culprit with her own eyes!”

“Eliminating dissenters to control the diagnostic outco? That is indeed… a thought.”

Orintel’s rciless yet rcy-frad statent elicited mixed reactions from the Winslow couple, while Fu Qian gave a slight nod, acknowledging the unconventional ingenuity of the idea.

“However, from the patient’s perspective, this could make achieving the best outco unlikely. You’ll have to bear greater responsibility.”

“Whether the effect is good or not is not up to you.”

Juggling two snakes at once seed to strain Orintel significantly, slowing the creation speed compared to before.

However, given that the target showed no signs of dodging, the serpents soon swayed nacingly above Fu Qian’s head, their combined form even more imposing than before.

“That is indeed the crux of this plan. But I’m sorry, as the attending physician, I must reject it.”

Fu Qian sighed, appearing entirely unbothered by the looming threat above him.

“Because my diagnosis remains unchanged: Miss Winslow has no issues. She will heal completely before dawn.”

“Really?”

Faced with a survival instinct, the power of mysticism grew undeniable. Mrs. Winslow, frazzled and desperate, clung to Fu Qian’s seemingly unreasonable diagnosis, her surprise and joy evident.

“Of course. Don’t you see? The external wounds have already healed.”

Fu Qian gestured above, where, in just a few exchanges, Jane’s missing legs had fully regenerated, even down to the scarlet streaks.

The only imperfection remained her tattered nightgown—with its shredded hemline clearly exempt from the miraculous treatnt, its forr grandeur now lost.

“You call this healing?”

While the Winslows were at a loss for words, a furious rebuke broke the silence.

The family tutor, Natalie, looked enraged, her last glimrs of light snuffed out by Fu Qian’s string of remarks.

“Haven’t you hard Jane enough already?”

This towering moral judgnt was nearly unassailable, leaving even the Winslow family montarily at a loss for a retort.

The heart bent on revenge was so steadfast, tirelessly blocking every path of escape for Jane.

Looking at Natalie’s indignant face, Fu Qian couldn’t help but offer another round of silent admiration.

Magnificent.

It is only when everyone strives wholeheartedly for their own goals that more intriguing outcos erge.

“Do you know why I don’t believe your revenge story?”

In the next mont, Fu Qian shook his head with an amused smile.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

The puzzlent in Natalie’s eyes seed entirely natural—like a performance rehearsed dozens of tis.

From it, Fu Qian extrapolated the aning: no matter what was said, he couldn’t hope to bait her into a mistake.

“Obstetrics isn’t my specialty, so I can’t be certain whether you’ve ever had a child before. But I am sure that right now, there’s a child in your womb.”

Unfortunately, young people understand too little about this world. Shaking his head again, Fu Qian spoke earnestly.

As if struck by lightning, all traces of Natalie’s composure instantly disintegrated, leaving her as stiff as paper.

“You’d better focus all your energy on helping the child find their father.”

Yet Dr. Fu’s well-aning advice wasn’t even finished.

“What nonsense are you spouting?”

Natalie finally regained a semblance of composure, instinctively turning her head to glance around, her voice rising sharply.

“Ah, it seems you’ve already found him.”

Alas, Fu Qian ignored her entirely, casting a glance at the ashen-faced Orintel.

“They say that when a woman first learns she’s pregnant, she subconsciously looks toward the child’s father.”

“Congratulations—the test results indicate you are not the father.”

The Lead Fla churned, the two serpents on Orintel’s hands exploding in a magnificent display, shredding his hands into a blood-soaked ss.

And yet Orintel remained oblivious, staring fixedly at Natalie—and at the butler she had looked to first.

See? Orintel was quite impressionable after all.

Fu Qian nodded in satisfaction.

Surely, the emotions stirred from here would take the place of Natalie’s revenge, driving even more intense drama and extending an invitation to those unseen “eyes” watching from the shadows.
