Indeed, another victim.

Although the Clear Dream Ring was almost instantly canceled, it did not prevent Fu Qian from reaching a conclusion.

The dical elite before him also seed to have suffered contamination from Lek.

Once this point was confird, the other person’s previous unpleasant behavior beca quite intriguing.

Why couldn’t it be a pure coincidence?

Because this was the third activation of the Clear Dream Ring in a short period.

The two blockers before exhibited behavior identical to his, also ordinary people, with a similar resilience to the Clear Dream Ring.

In this situation, their behavior seed interpretable as a slight disturbance to his malicious intent.

However, the magical part was that Fu Qian was quite sure he hadn’t been discovered before this.

This is the confidence of a Second Phase Transcendent.

Their actions, heartbeat, and breathing had no sign of pretense at all.

This made their playful interference much more interesting.

Completely unintentional actions just happened to target an undetected presence.

What an unwitting display of Unity of Heaven and Man.

To so extent, this seed to confirm his previous concerns.

That even in a Blood Conquest state, contacting the current apparent source of contamination, Lek Wesley, could likely not avoid contamination, thus leading to mission failure.

It’s indeed no wonder he chose this second investigation site. Just a few steps in and, with the help of the three enthusiastic individuals, he already gained insights.

Of course, they needed to be a bit more enthusiastic.

Hi!

The next mont, Fu Qian greeted the back of a head.

...

The fact proved that a safe distance is a psychological requirent for everyone.

Even though Fu Qian’s tone and volu were perfect, as sunny as visiting a children’s park.

But such a close-up greeting still startled the person in front of him, almost making him drop his writing board.

"Who are you... What is it?"

Turning around almost at the limit of human speed, the dical elite glanced at the suddenly appearing smiling face, his voice trembled a little.

"Sorry I was too close, just wanted to ask for directions."

Apologizing verbally, Fu Qian was not the least bit embarrassed, directly stating his purpose.

"Dr. Lek Wesley once worked at this hospital. Do you know his specific office location?"

"...Sorry, I’m not sure about that, you might want to ask soone else."

Asking for directions in a hospital is entirely normal, but unfortunately, faced with Fu Qian’s question, the doctor who had just caught his breath quickly shook his head, expressing helplessness.

After answering, he turned away with a bit of coldness and left quickly.

Though infected, he indeed seems unfamiliar with Mr. Lek.

Without insisting on an invitation, Fu Qian watched the departing figure and sighed over the unwarranted disaster the other suffered.

Though not enthusiastic, he did not doubt the truthfulness of the other’s answer.

This overly strange way of asking for directions makes it hard to remain calm and composed.

The reason for his hasty departure was clearly an unconscious move to maintain distance, a completely normal reaction.

A victim even unfamiliar with the source of contamination, this renowned dical facility does worry .

"Hello there."

The sentint didn’t delay Fu Qian’s actions, in a mont he turned in a different direction and approached another figure nearby.

It was an elderly gentleman wearing gold-rimd glasses, with a face full of wrinkles and mostly white hair, exuding an air of high esteem.

What’s the saying?

The morals are degenerating, people’s hearts aren’t the sa.

So perhaps I should find soone with an older mindset.

...

Sure enough, the old gentleman proved to be quite perceptive.

Maintaining a safe distance, Fu Qian’s second inquiry target exhibited a full deanor of old-fashioned gentility.

After a gentle inquiry into Fu Qian’s doubts, the person soon recalled Lek’s na and provided a detailed office address.

Even as Fu Qian thanked him and took his leave, he was still lanting over Lek’s early retirent and the waste of his exquisite dical skills.

Following the direction pointed out by this kindly gentleman, and without activating the Blood Conquest, Fu Qian proceeded quickly to his destination—only to find no such room.

Marvelous!

Looking at the door plaque beside the hallway, Fu Qian increasingly felt that this trip was worth more than expected.

The old gentleman seed to have the intent yet lacked the ntal capacity, having rembered the wrong place.

Thus Fu Qian was quite certain, there was absolutely no room as ntioned around here.

Though the location was advantageous, this building evidently appeared old compared to the entire hospital complex, as few seed to be working inside.

...

Knock knock!

A mont later, Fu Qian knocked on one of the few rooms with occupants.

"Who are you?"

In a corner with elegant decor, a woman who appeared sowhat younger than the previous old gentleman, put down what she was holding and looked over with a frown.

"Hello madam, I’m looking for Dr. Lek Wesley."

Despite the unwelco deanor, Fu Qian was undeterred, politely greeting her.

"Was this his office before?"

"How could it be!"

Regrettably, his attitude didn’t prevent the woman’s frown from deepening.

"I’ve been in this office for over a decade."

The old woman scrutinized Fu Qian as if examining a ntally ill person.

"Oh... So Lek wasn’t here previously either."

The next mont, Fu Qian complied with her impression, earnestly repeating sothing aningless.

"Yes, also I don’t know any Lek Wesley, please leave, or I’ll call security."

The latter part was evidently out of irritation, as she appeared completely unwilling to engage further.

Evaluating the other’s performance, Fu Qian didn’t rush to say anything but turned to look behind him.

The door he had just closed was abruptly pushed open from the outside, and three figures silently entered.

"Who are you, and why are you here?"

Leading them, the person’s puzzlent was even more pronounced than the woman behind the desk, voicing a familiar question.

"Because this is the lady’s office, why did you barge in?"

Feeling the Transcendent aura from the three, Fu Qian remained justified and casually borrowed a line.

"Please leave, or I’ll call security."

"Her office? Since Lek Wesley retired, hasn’t this place been empty?"

The three Night Watchn were montarily at a loss.

"You see, right?"

Without any intent to argue, Fu Qian adeptly turned to question the old woman with this reasoning.

"So why don’t you think again, did you co to the wrong place?"
