Chapter 1504: Chapter 1499: Human Plant (8)

Zero Blade 999, sitting without even blinking, ascends to High-level Extraordinary?

Earlier, it seed like calling soone a Divine was self-aggrandizing, but listening to this, it now appears sowhat conservative. This should be called the Divine Race, but…

“With such a dangerous constitution, the Night Watchman has actually allowed it to persist till now?”

Fu Qian looked at Aike with suspicion.

“Why not allow it… What image does the Night Watchman have in your imagination?”

Demigod Aike seed to be provoked by the glare, his first reaction was to defend the Night Watchman.

“Ti is pressing.”

Unfortunately, this air of righteousness had no effect on Fu Qian.

Turning sideways, he was the first to pass through the open door, casually reminding them.

“Even before handing over power… such blessings haven’t appeared among their newborns for many years now.”

Soon realizing so things were pointless, Aike followed, sighing as he spoke.

That’s more like it!

Even though Fu Qian hadn’t systematically learned the corporate culture of the Night Watchman, to say they relied solely on fairness and clarity to reach this level, he couldn’t fully believe it.

We all are just getting by, with such an extrely unstable ti-bomb, also a remnant of feudalism, even if not cleared, the handling thods couldn’t be too gentle.

“But you still have concerns in this regard, so the first response to good news is blessings along with a physical check-up?”

Facing Lord Aike’s fairly efficient candor, Fu Qian expressed his thoughts straightforwardly.

“Although adorned for the occasion, the motivation doesn’t seem quite pure.”

“…I suppose they wouldn’t mind.”

Such frankness in speech caused Aike to pause, not bothering to argue much.

So things finally beca clear, like the reason the Night Watchman showed such respect.

The ancient royal celebration’s significance goes far beyond the remnants of old days.

Of course, Aike was correct, the Larea Family wouldn’t mind her presence, even knowing the real motive.

This acts like a safety certification; the Night Watchman not doing this would be the cause for concern.

Hence, the issue arises—as Lord Aike still hadn’t seen the newborn, instead facing such a dilemma.

The reason seems like the concerned parties already have the answer.

“It’s hard to tell if our luck is good or bad, but it seems we’re fortunate enough to witness the revival of the ancient royal lineage.”

Behind the door was the sa corridor, empty.

Seeing this scene, Aike wasn’t overly pessimistic; she even wore a cold smile.

“Could the newborn also be a target of Divine Power’s blessing? And its self-protective behavior leads to the scenario we’re experiencing now?”

Though mainly expressing emotions, sorting out the logic behind was easy for Fu Qian, as he continued moving and asked.

“The transformation of the Larea Family into a Divine is entirely random. From this angle, the newborn and adults have no difference. I ca to confirm if the new mber has any natural anomalies.”

Aike’s answer clearly affird Fu Qian’s point and her resolve.

“So regardless, I must find this newborn.”

“Are you sure continuing this path will have an end?”

After expressing personal resolve, Demigod Aike’s actions beca more decisive, continuing for a long ti.

However, after traversing nurous near-double-digit turns, faced with the sa opulent corridor, her steps didn’t stop, yet she couldn’t help but seek opinions.

Though not likable, this mysterious figure nad Anke, following closely in these perilous situations, validated the truth in his previous resolute words.

“Sowhat certain.”

Fu Qian’s response was concise and firm to her query.

“The reason?”

“I’ve discussed the orientation before, and aside from this, I’ve been observing the corridor itself.”

Even though Aike’s tone was not polite, Fu Qian didn’t hold back the information.

“Although we’ve theoretically traversed quite a distance, have you noticed the overall style remains consistent?”

“Such royal architecture, even if different projects are involved, keeping consistent style is normal. Then?”

Aike seed not to understand his intention.

“It’s normal, but also the issue at hand. While admiring the royal dignity, I noticed a slight inconsistency inside. Did you notice the lamp stands on either side?”

Ah?

This bizarre focus succeeded in having Aike scrutinize them again.

Gold and black intertwined, with smooth lines, though not oversized, the things embedded in the walls showcased royal grandeur.

Yet, none were lit, making them easier to overlook.

“Of course, you’re saying the lamp stand style is inconsistent?”

“Consistent.”

“Hmm?”

“But the spacing isn’t consistent.”

“The distance between our current position’s lamp stands compared to when we first entered already exceeds tenfold.”

Without waiting for further doubts from Aike, Fu Qian continued explaining.

“The whole process happens gradually, and the length of each corridor varies, so it’s not visually obvious.”

“Setting aside the possibility of intentional design, I lean towards the belief this corridor is elongated, creating an endless perception.”

During the discourse, Fu Qian even gestured forward, especially indicating moss-covered areas.

“Don’t you feel the appearance resembles intestines, with increased humidity and occasional inflammation?”

“…You don’t need to use taphors; I understand your aning.”

Expert Fu’s exceptional communication successfully gave Demigod Aike a sense of ntal discomfort.

Though signaling Fu not to continue, Aike felt a complete unease surveying the corridor.

Spacing seed indeed larger; without reminder, easily overlooked; elongated intestine taphor sowhat accurate.

But then, navigating these corridors, what does her presence signify, and even Fu is amidst it…

“Alright, overall it’s simple, elongation has limits; I incline towards the belief the number of lamp stands in this corridor is finite too.”

Fu Qian pointed forward, resembling inclusion of stars and seas within his grasp.

“Keep forging ahead, you’ll reach the end.”

Oddly compelling reasoning…

Despite subjective evidence, the lines were cringe-worthy, Fu Qian’s statent mildly resonated with Aike.

Not enough to illuminate the path, at least breaking the endless repetition perception.

Following this would be a race against the countdown; for a mont, she felt relieved the conversation continued without interruption—

Boom!

Yet the next instant, as she prepared to push open another half-open door, the sole lamp in her view suddenly lit, emitting a “deafening” brilliance.
