Chapter 1615: Chapter 1610: Netherworld Disrupted (5)

Scorching, viscous, leaping like a heartbeat.

Few flas give people such a sticky, damp feeling.

Yet appearing in this place, it sohow feels appropriate.

Under the powerful propulsion, this group of flas, suspected to be the Netherfla converted from absorbed vitality, directly struck in front of Lisa.

Just ten centiters away from the target, the speed of the fireball suddenly slowed down until it was almost still, as if snagged by an invisible net.

Though the attack was sudden, Professor Lisa, fully focused, still managed to respond in ti.

Using this montary hindrance, her body swiftly dodged to the side.

Almost simultaneously, the fireball showed no sign of dissipating, as if it finally burned through the invisible net’s barrier, tracing a ghostly light as it curved to chase Lisa, who had evaded.

This thing actually has a tracking ability.

Fortunately, it’s reassuring that Professor Lisa is obviously not a sheltered flower without combat experience.

In that brief mont, she managed to get behind a stone pillar.

Although the fireball had tracking capabilities, it wasn’t smart enough to avoid obstacles and directly hit it.

Silent and without a trace.

Accompanied by an ominous reaction, it actually embedded itself into the stone.

On the other side of the pillar, Lisa obviously noticed this situation and took a deep breath.

The next mont, with the flashing of firelight, the thing indeed passed through the stone pillar, erging with no loss of montum.

In this place, it was clearly a special existence.

Unfortunately, it still didn’t hit its target and instead smashed into a thin spike, forcefully spat out from Lisa’s mouth.

Bang!

The fla, solid as asphalt, instantly destroyed the spike, but almost simultaneously, as if injected with so unstable factor, the fire mass deford weirdly and erupted after moving a short distance further.

The surging flas swept in all directions instantaneously, but ultimately did not reach Riet, who retreated swiftly.

Rather, the impact from the explosion hit the pillar, blasting out countless fragnts, even causing the statue at the top to crash to the ground.

“Not bad, adaptable and never forgetting the original intention.”

Fu Qian, who watched the entire event with arms crossed, promptly praised, fulfilling his duty.

Unfortunately, the person involved ignored him. As soon as she steadied herself, Lisa took another deep breath and spat out another spike aiming at the ground.

Upon impact, it shattered again, but the statue, which remained relatively intact from the collision, spontaneously cracked from the struck spot in an instant.

“Pity I still didn’t save a tooth.”

At this mont, Lisa finally spoke up as she leaped next to Fu Qian, eyes still fixed on the scene.

Tooth?

Fu Qian blinked, looking at her face.

“Of course, not this tooth.”

Ensuring her target was reduced to rubble, Lisa, finally relaxed, gave him a glare to show her mouth was intact.

“Understood, it almost seems like a talisman.”

Fu Qian didn’t question it, even showing admiration.

“Very impressive technique. Does it contain poison?”

“Or calling it Chaos might be more fitting, causing structural collapse to so extent on impact.”

Though the question went deep, Lisa still satisfied Fu Qian’s curiosity.

“Quite an impressive ability, no wonder it could detonate that fireball. But since it’s called a tooth, can it regenerate? Why so regretful?”

Fu Qian praised her while not hiding his curiosity.

“Does it not take ti for you to grow teeth?”

To this, Lisa retorted with a cold face, her tone revealing her heartache.

Indeed it does, but only a little.

Fu Qian thought of his own situation, pondering silently.

By now, he had a general understanding of this impromptu trump card.

It was clearly Professor Lisa’s inherent ability as a giant serpent girl rather than a tool.

And with a bit of thought, it was easy to realize its potency.

The earlier praise was no exaggeration. With this ability alone, Professor Lisa essentially has a self-replenishing talisman reserve.

Although it refills sowhat slowly, it’s still very effective for critical bursts.

As in the previous situation, that fireball was obviously not ordinary, and even a typical Fourth Phase would struggle against it.

Not to ntion, if one lingered a bit longer, a second one might very well have appeared.

“Oh no!”

At this mont, Lisa suddenly realized sothing, and without delay, she looked into the distance.

“We’ve wasted too much ti, and it must have escaped far by now.”

“Far, but not very far.”

Fu Qian’s manner of speaking seed unchangeable for the ti being, smiling to indicate there was no need to worry.

“That thing found a new place and lingered for a good while after going in.”

“…Did you discover sothing?”

Unsurprisingly, Lisa was instantly invigorated.

“I was worried it got scared earlier.”

“Both these questions can be answered by just taking a look.”

And naturally, Fu Qian continued to act as a strategist, leading the way without needing Lisa’s prompting.

“In so legends, stone gargoyles are guardians of the Netherworld.”

As they advanced quickly, Lisa, seeing things getting back on track, finally voiced her concerns.

Her aning was simple: such sculptures appearing here, and even having that kind of eerie aggression, were deepening the Netherworld aura of this place.

“Of course, in those legends, they move, just like real Transcendent creatures.”

“From this perspective, this place seems more like a poor imitation.”

Yet she didn’t forget to analyze from different angles, as a re consolation.

“Maybe they’re just dead? The one you shattered was just a corpse.”

Unfortunately, Professor Fu wasn’t afraid to break comfort zones, raising an eerie point the next mont.

“After all, even the dead can be here.”

Professor Lisa, who intended to say sothing, gave up on refuting because of the analogy and was instead filled with a stronger anticipation for finding the corpse.

“Look, it’s right here… hold on, it seems to have co out again.”

Fu Qian reached out to stop her as she accelerated.

Without a word, Lisa halted imdiately.

And in the next mont, that bizarre form really floated out from a broken window, turning towards another side.

“Aren’t we following?”

Slightly disappointed, Lisa looked at Fu Qian, who remained still, and asked in confusion.

“Let’s go in first and see.”

Fu Qian gestured towards the broken window.

“Although it ca out, it stayed inside for quite a while.”

“Every anomaly has its reasons. Even a stomachache should leave traces.”
