Chapter 1738: Chapter 1733: Bitter Fruit (27)

“So, doctor, is there any solution to my problem?”

Though illness does not avoid doctors, the situation Fu Qian brought was evidently overly complex.

Even for Cold Mountain Saint Doctor Dorian, his brows furrowed in great difficulty.

However, Fu Qian didn’t give the other party much ti to deliberate and quickly confird the diagnosis results.

“…Of course, there is.”

“Whether townsfolk or outsiders, my dical reputation has never needed to be questioned.”

And Dorian did not disappoint, looking deeply at Fu Qian and finally giving a rather inspiring answer.

“But what are you planning to use to pay?”

At this mont, the flaw of ‘a bird leaves no trace’ had shown up; the fee arranged by the warehouse was evidently swallowed, requiring another paynt.

Fu Qian looked down at himself, even both hands, and finally locked his gaze on the doll.

“How about using it?”

“…Of course, that’s acceptable. I said earlier that this doll was made quite well.”

In that instant, the atmosphere in the already silent clinic seed to freeze.

Fu Qian glanced at Dorian, whose eyes held a certain undercurrent.

However, he finally nodded, even offering a reason proactively.

“I think so too, Miss Hilary’s craftsmanship is indeed quite good.”

With the paynt issue smoothly resolved, Fu Qian seed quite pleased and handed over the doll directly.

Even if there’s no more mory of interaction, Fu Qian never expected Dorian to trust him completely.

A single Hilary doll is enough to fill his head with questions, wondering up and down countless tis.

There’s no doubt it’s his creation, and he could never truly believe it was a coincidence that Hilary made an identical one.

Yet he brought the doll and said this.

The reason is straightforward; it was intended for suspicion.

The mind mustn’t be rigid; fiddling with antiques—ugh, arts and crafts, a truly engaging story is important, but even a blatantly false one might hold aning.

Imagine if he perfectly enacted an outsider seeking treatnt, how would Dorian react?

Most likely, he’d repeat his previous encounter, again experiencing Hilary’s embrace and listen to the tale of the four from the chapel.

Is it valuable?

Of course, but it’s not enough.

The task has been ongoing for quite so ti.

Although the warehouse hasn’t provided a countdown, Fu Qian is hardly optimistic, thinking task number 1 has space for gradual progress.

Don’t forget, even the containnt asures were only established with his help.

For reasons still unsure, the warehouse seems sluggish in this place.

anwhile, the task’s goal is to prevent sothing from “maturing.”

It’s easy to envision a scenario where, in this seemingly lifeless locality, every second sees sothing barely perceptible growing, thriving.

So, upon re-eting the chief physician, Fu Qian never planned to act gently, but instead needed to extract maximum value.

From this standpoint, it might seem best not to waste words, just outright violence, interrogation is better; for these, his thods are plentiful.

But it’s still insufficient.

Though upon contact, every Akons native revealed unique talents; none were typical.

Yet based on the doll and restoring the dream, Dorian clearly stands out among them.

The secrets these natives reveal under pressure are incredibly apparent, even in dreams, or doll forms.

It’s beyond skill, almost giving a sense of “overseeing” everything.

Simply making him an interrogation subject is too negligent; Fu Qian needs him to do more—

For example, raising his threat level, using all ans to address it.

Therefore, for all the anomalies and absurdities on him, Fu Qian didn’t conceal any, instead leveraging a flawed story to amplify them, showcasing ulterior motives vividly.

The only thing to note throughout this process is not to apply such pressure that Dorian abandons treatnt and directly turns to killing, reverting to interrogation.

“Then I won’t be polite.”

Thankfully, with evident confidence in his dical skills, Dorian hesitated only slightly before accepting the paynt.

“Indeed, when shall we start?”

And handling the remaining sword, Fu Qian wasn’t intent on wasting any ti.

The upcoming treatnt plan was truly sothing to anticipate.

“Now, your condition can no longer be delayed.”

Taking the doll, Dorian seed to breathe a sigh of relief from recent misgivings.

Instantly, he stood and walked to the side, gesturing for Fu Qian to follow.

Of course, Fu Qian didn’t think it was lost and regained joy, just like Dorian sees through his poor disguise, he could see through the deliberate act itself.

He not only knows Fu Qian is bluffing, but that he’s doing so intentionally to make him see through it, to gauge his reaction.

Yet he was confident enough in his skills to accept the challenge.

What follows is destined to be an exchange where each side has hidden intentions.

“Sit there.”

In a tacit atmosphere, Dorian indeed gestured to the sa spot as last ti.

On the surface at least, the treatnt thod seed to be similar again.

And his gaze clearly anticipated Fu Qian’s response to this.

“Alright, hold this first for .”

Without objections, as Fu Qian even tidied himself, he casually handed out the sword.

“No problem at all…”

A chuckle escaped Dorian’s throat as he genuinely reached out to take it, anwhile placing Hilary’s doll opposite Fu Qian, sa as last ti.

Moreover, he stepped aside, opened a wooden cupboard, and pulled out a doll in a white wedding dress.

Then it was an old lady, a middle-aged man with a hat, a robust man with a lowered head…

“This seems a bit redundant. Do you mind if I increase the dose?”

Blinking to collect the chapel’s quartet, Dorian frowned slightly as if encountering a quandary.

Ultimately, he left the cabinet open and casually pulled out another one.

Black veil, black robe, stunning gaze, another Hilary.

“I don’t mind.”

Fu Qian, who had been anticipating this scene, hesitated not for a second to nod in agreent.
