Chapter 1795: Chapter 1790: Vulgar Fear (Part 3)

Deep crimson droplets, staining the slightly flirtatious orange cuff, resembling blood briefly oxidized—or an accidental spill while drinking.

Indeed, like the drink earlier confidently mixed to mimic the look of blood, Fu Qian was equally confident in his ordinary human constitution, currently lacking the ability to distinguish truth at a glance.

Clear self-awareness is a human virtue.

Blood, alcohol, or blood and alcohol, determining with just such slight traces at a glance, Fu Qian has never been so disrespectful to professional skills.

Although from a non-professional perspective, so answers seem possible too—

As an invited guest, Fu Qian’s abrupt movent undoubtedly drew everyone’s attention, including the person involved.

And as he looked over, realizing what Fu Qian was observing, Butters, who had invited him, acted like electrocuted, instantly yanking his hand back.

Snicker—

Even due to excessive force, the ticulously prepared clothes slightly tore.

This excessively classic display was practically a perfect illustration of the phrase “guilty as a thief.”

And in the corner of his eye, the adjacent two seed to hold their breath, the air in the room solidified like sedint.

Fu Qian naturally wasn’t the type to be concerned about the atmosphere, montarily observing Butters with keen interest, not even looking at his hand but at the golden hair atop his head.

It’s said that under extre fright, human hair stands one by one; today did indeed showcase a perfect demonstration.

Though not exaggerated enough to alter hairstyle, that head of silky blonde hair visibly lost so of its smoothness.

“It looks like you stained your sleeve while drinking.”

The subtle scene persisted for about two seconds, Fu Qian finally nodded, gesturing towards Butters.

“Have you realized the downside of drinking yet?”

Though still articulate, Butters indeed reeked of alcohol, evidently indulging quite a bit earlier.

The other two were the sa; of course, their slightly better position was not losing their jackets while drinking.

Not surprising, party thes often only add skins, the things young people are passionate about are mostly those few.

“Wolf, you must help , I can’t think of anyone else!”

And facing Fu Qian’s kind reminder, Butters seed to finally co to his senses, lowering his voice, urgently, almost feeling out of breath.

“I indeed drank too much just now, didn’t expect that guy to be so fragile… and so unlucky to hit his head…”

Did I indeed co here to play a role like a Scavenger?

Though Butters’ words weren’t too coherent, the amount of information was still substantial.

Such as, for Fu Qian, it was easy to recall so classic scenarios—

Impulsive youth becoming more impulsive after drinking, unable to restrain emotions, causing conflict and ultimately injuring soone, panicking upon realization, making mistake after mistake leading to irreversible consequences…

Though requiring considerable coincidence, it’s still a plausible developnt.

The issue lies within oneself.

The description of being calm and wise in the task introduction already sounded sowhat exaggerated, from this situation, how wise must one be, to consider seeking a minor for help after a “friend” possibly causes a death?

This slightly abstract art style, when the warehouse crafted my character profile, was it perhaps too perfunctory as to copy-paste from sowhere else?

Or—am I portraying not a Scavenger, but Don Quixote?

In silent contemplation, Fu Qian didn’t hasten to respond but looked around, found a paper bag, and handed it to Butters.

Butters was slightly dazed, but still instinctively accepted the paper bag, covering his mouth and nose, relaxing his breathing,

At the sa ti, Fu Qian quietly approved of everything witnessed en route.

The ticulously prepared party was evident, drinks specially concocted, and this “friend’s” reaction was on point, fully showcasing the bewildernt after committing a misdeed under a group of watchful eyes.

Unfortunately, although he wasn’t keen on such hubbub, Fu Qian hadn’t forgotten what day it was today—All Fools’ Day.

With such a concept, it’s truly difficult not to add a filter when pondering, considering the possibility of pranks.

Not necessarily specially prepared for himself, but an impromptu additional project, concocting a reason to summon soone over, then collectively witness the “professional’s” crisis handling, doesn’t seem impossible either?

Like the reluctant knight deceived into dueling the Mage.

Of course, that would imply Mr. Wolf’s character profile still needs the addition of severe chuunibyou.

Sufficient to make others believe, he genuinely would get involved for a “friend.”

Otherwise, Butters’ imdiate proposal, if t with a dismissal, would waste the specially found ensemble cast.

Watching as Butters’ breathing gradually stabilized, Fu Qian glanced at the adjacent two who, upon hearing his narration, showed no surprise, a slight furrowed brow.

“It’s just over such a trivial matter you made co here specially? I could help you call the police right from ho.”

Facing a situation capable of multiple interpretations, he didn’t rush to confirm but continued questioning alongside Butters’ rich emotions.

Just severe chuunibyou, what’s impossible for a professional?

Simply chuunibyou thods might differ from your imagination.

For character portrayal to be full-fledged, it must reflect complexity in personality.

No containnt conditions have appeared yet, and considering the earlier critique of the warehouse’s character setup, Fu Qian quickly decided to utilize the slightly complex situation to thoroughly perform Mr. Wolf’s character.

As expected, upon his response, not only Butters but even the adjacent two appeared intensely shocked.

“…Stop joking around!”

Even so, the two auxiliaries maintained silence nonetheless, unanimously looking at Butters, eyes filled with the spirit of doubting everything and negating everything.

For the latter, the alleviating effect hardly acquired by the paper bag almost went to waste, the body even began trembling in sync.

“We have very little ti, things here will end soon… people might co to inspect even before that, we——”

Boom boom boom.

The sudden knocking amidst Butters’ halted words, looked over and abruptly turned back, exchanging glances.

Not wanting the sche to be interrupted, after Fu Qian had entered, the back door had already been locked.

“Probably looking for .”

And in the tense atmosphere, Fu Qian, having just declared he could help with calling the police, confidently nodded, spoke with confidence.
