"You did this?"
The scene was filled with experts, and Fu Qian was far from the only one to notice the change.
Under the eerie scrutiny, Aike, who had been acting as a bodyguard all along, couldn’t resist confirming with Ah Kai first, perhaps harboring so hope for results.
"I’m not sure..."
Unfortunately, even though it seed to co together so naturally, the person involved still didn’t have the courage to claim credit just like that.
Professor Ah Kai looked at the suddenly appearing passageway, mumbling to himself.
The previous head of the Benevolence Institute really did a number on him, turning a potential academic star into soone lacking confidence.
"So what were you doing just now?"
Amidst these thoughts, Fu Qian casually asked a question to help clarify things.
"A miracle I hadn’t yet tried, hoping to see if it could connect with reality."
Without disappointing Professor Fu’s care, Ah Kai quickly regained his composure and explained his previous actions.
"I’m not very sure about the success rate, but according to the records, it should be an extrely gentle miracle... Yet it seed to cause quite a disturbance just now, which I don’t understand..."
It was evident that he had learned from past lessons and had beco more conservative in his approach, aiming for practicality. Yet, unfortunately, the effect still seed less than ideal.
"There was indeed so commotion."
On this note, Fu Qian didn’t offer empty consolation; there had indeed been so agitation just now, even affecting the entire ship, only to calm down shortly after.
Even though he hadn’t walked over to see, Fu Qian was reasonably confident that the downward passage was not a way leading to the Benevolence Institute’s shore.
"But always look on the bright side; at least we seem to have a new area to explore, most likely triggered by you. Both the intention and the outco are good."
Of course, this didn’t prevent Fu Qian from offering encouragent in the next mont, expressing his genuine thoughts.
No matter where it leads, anything new is a good thing for this team currently lacking action references.
Even though there had been precedents, Fu Qian was not inclined to suspect Nepheli of causing this disturbance.
For her now, such little moves lack both motivation and risk getting caught.
The abnormal effect of the miracle probably resulted from the judgnt endorsed by both Stoss and her: within the Long Night, conceptual symbolism and reality were already blurred.
In a place where even fundantal rules were problematic, it’s no surprise for experints to produce unexpected results.
"I’ll go and check."
Almost the instant Professor Fu concluded, soone promptly took up the task.
Just completing her investigation, Demigod Su naturally offered.
...
See, that’s what decision-making is.
Fu Qian was not surprised by Su Gao’s reaction.
As ntioned earlier, leadership doesn’t lie in talking much; it’s about clarity of thought, determination of will, and making decisive calls at critical monts.
So far, no light could be seen within the downward passageway.
On the contrary, it seed to feel the void surging outside the ship, and the darkness inside that couldn’t be penetrated.
Facing such a scene, it’s hard to feel optimistic, giving the first impression of falling into Eternal Night, a complete point of no return – yet still, they have to go.
No matter what it seems, such findings cannot be abandoned in the current circumstances.
And Su Gao clearly realized this from the outset and hadn’t forgotten her role as the person responsible for this investigation, directly stepping into danger once more.
"You’ve already taken action before; let do it this ti."
Yet Aike proved that she, too, was no coward, realizing the necessity and proposing that they take turns taking risks.
"It’s fine; I am too."
Fu Qian responded instead.
Knowing that Su Gao didn’t like argunts, Advisor Fu took on the task directly, and while speaking, stepped forward to stand with Demigod Su again.
...
Does this logic seem a bit off?
Obviously, Expert Fu’s reasoning was quite mind-bending.
Watching his actions, Aike opened her mouth but found herself at a loss for words.
The aning of that step couldn’t be clearer; this Academy Professor not only supported Su Gao’s decision but was even prepared to join her in taking risks again.
This was much more dangerous than the previous actions inside the ship.
As an "Action Advisor," theoretically, he didn’t need to do this... Is he overly dedicated to his profession?
"Then I’ll leave it to you."
However, this was not the ti for lant; next, without a word, Stoss promptly approved the application.
"But I will go with you, lest we encounter sothing with too high a ranking that is difficult to handle. Besides, things seem fairly stable here at the mont."
And in the next mont, his tone shifted, allowing no argunts.
"Alright."
Fair enough, the old man was still the only apparent Second Phase.
While evaluating this in his heart, Fu Qian, anwhile, did not decline, responding before taking the lead.
"You all stay here, and don’t make any additional moves for now."
Before joining them, Stoss didn’t forget to specifically instruct Ah Kai and Aike.
Clearly, he too realized the power of miracles was quite uncontrollable under such temporal and spatial conditions.
To increase the likelihood of the trio returning, it was best not to act recklessly at this ti.
...
"It really seems to have stopped."
The newly appeared downward passageway was as simple as the others on the ship.
Moreover, the destination of the passageway felt even less favorable.
It was clear that it was not so hidden fourth layer of the ark, just a simple wooden ladder slanting down, ending presumably deep within an imperceptible blackness.
Following it down looked like an endeavor dood never to return.
And as Lord Stoss comnted, Su Gao had already stepped down.
The forr’s point was quite valid; such ladder-putting seed more like a temporary halt rather than the ark still moving with further expansion of its internal space.
Another brief anchor drop? Theoretically, a step into a millennium ago?
From that angle, it seed to hold another kind of significance.
The downside, of course, was an unavoidable worry: what if, after going down, the ship set sail again?
The exploration team’s predicant would be far from ideal – already far from ideal.
"Can’t see anything; the situation here seems the opposite of inside the ship, forcefully depriving us of vision."
Following close behind Su Gao, entering the darkness, Fu Qian soon heard the old man’s latest comntary.
